      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  4. Your chisel creations!!

Hey guys, this is one of my builds, I did this on the LBP survival server: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  5. Clay bricks?

We've had similar discussions about this as well as other building materials here: http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/816-new-brick-types-old-building-methods/page__fromsearch__1 I think it would be great to add mudbrick and/or rammed earth, as well as concrete (which the romans had used). It would give players more options to build in the early game without necessarily having to mine stone or make a chisel, as well as giving more aesthetic options in general.
  6. We should do it, we don't need a map wipe, we could show all the stuff people have done on LBP with the exception of the spawn area, oh and by the way Achartran, I made an addition to Maplestead, check it out sometime
  7. KInd of like what they are doing in the "Dig, Hiss, Boom!" thread, we've got legit builds that can compete on LBP
  8. I've been playing on this server for a while now and it is fantastic. I just feel that maybe we should post some pics up of the towns people have created, mines and caverns people have discovered, and maybe some of the monuments that have been erected. I think it would be a great showcase and advertisement for this great server and maybe might attract some others here. Just a thought.
  9. Am I Missing Something?

You see that is part of the reason that I am more of a builder, because the adventure aspect (in both vanilla MC and TFC) eventually comes to an end, there is only so many materials, tools, weapons, and overall advancement you can do. With building you are only limited to your imagination and so there is no end. For me the metals only have any kind of value because one needs them to make the chisel, with which I can unlock the rest of the construction mechanics (at least until the construction overhaul). I am fine staying with tier 0 metal tools if I have enough of those metals to keep replacing tools I have broken from building. I never even have the urge to look for or make any of the more advanced metals, they don't matter to me, I could care less about iron, bronze, or steel, they would only give me longer lasting versions of the same tools I already use. Everyone takes something different from the mod and finds their own enjoyment, but for me the creative aspect is the best as its the only one that can be potentially endless (not that its impossible to get tired of building), unless of course you are someone who loves endlessly mining for more metals to make more tools and on and on.
  10. maybe they are waiting for this barrage of updates to slow down, we're at 47E now
  11. Has Oddworld been updated to 47C?
  12. About construction changes possibility

I also am in favor of the open-air storage that Kelik had mentioned, its visually interesting, and much easier to organize your materials with. I would want to see it used for many things: wheat/grain, wool, tools, etc.. On another note, I think it would be cool if the strength and integrity of your structure hinged on a strong and solid foundation. Perhaps you would have to dig one or two blocks down in the earth and start building there for more advanced structures, I also hope things like pourable concrete that dries and hardens gets implemented as I think this would add more flavor and options to construction.
  13. Chain World?

Hey guys, I wasn't sure whereto post this on the forums so I decided on "Off Topic". Has anyone here heard about Chain World? It was started last year, here is the link to the story: http://www.wired.com/magazine/2011/07/mf_chainworld/ I guess what I want to ask is what does everyone here think of it? Would anyone be interested in creating something like that with TFC? And if so what would the rules look like? The concept interests me a lot, except I wouldn't limit it to just one person at a time, maybe several at once to simulate a generation of civilization or something, and then passing it to the next group. Maybe something similar should be tried but for a limited time, like a month for instance and each "generation" group has say a few days-a week to play and then pass it, Idk, thoughts?
  14. Remnants of the past

I didn't mean that the Easter Island statues themselves be implemented, just that something similar could be put in. ALso, TFC to me is about "survival", but I never assumed that the player is supposed to be the "first" or "only" person ever to walk the earth. As for the ruins themselves, I don't mean large expansive cities or anything like that, just maybe a rare occurence where you might stumble across something (cave drawings, temples, huts) maybe containing items or maybe even perhaps something larger but even more rare, like a crumbled colosseum. How cool would that be. Exactly, and perhaps if you collect enough writings/tablets/texts it could lead you somewhere or to something that would be beneficial to the player although I'm not sure what that would be exactly, maybe a tool or weapon (or plans detailing one), or a long lost recipe for something. Then again you wouldn't necessarily need to find anything beneficial, it would simply be ruins for flavor and diversity to your explorations.
  15. New Building System Thoughts and Ideas

Well, I had already mentioned new building blocks made from existing materials in a past thread called "New blocks, old building methods" which I think would be cool as it adds more uses for existing blocks like gravel, clay, and most importantly dirt. I had suggested the ability to make adobe, mud brick, and/or rammed earth constructions as these were actual methods of building used by ancient civilizations and would give us more options as far as building is concerned. Also, the ability to make these different bricks would fit in with the mortar idea (except for rammed earth which wouldn't need it) as opposed to just etching brick designs on stone with the chisel.
