      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Anybody use or has used Linux before? (gnu/linux)

I have used Ubuntu. Currently have an old desktop and my really old laptop running Debian. My main rig is a custom build in a Corsair 730T Full-Tower case, running windows 8.1.
  2. More agricultural amendments: Hoes and ploughs

You could, or you could not. Have you thought of how the plow would be implemented? Is it just another item that you right click with or is it an Entity that must be drawn by some draft animal? I would assume that making it an entity would be significantly more difficult.
  3. Storage for big blocks

Add-on... Every time I see something where a small group of people might enjoy it while others would not that's all I think about. I don't want this, if you want it fine. You could probably get some of this effect if you were to change the size tags from light & tiny to Huge & Heavy.
  4. More agricultural amendments: Hoes and ploughs

So if I can't till grass blocks with a hoe then I have this magical tool called... a shovel. Tada! Instant dirt! I have personally tilled grassy soil with a shovel and a hoe, it is totally possible. The shovel breaks it into chunks and the hoe breaks down the chunks. I would not go to the trouble of making a plow when I can just use a shovel... I propose that almost no one would make plows.
  5. More agricultural amendments: Hoes and ploughs

Personally I would rather not make farming more of a pain than it already is. This just sounds tedious. Perhaps if someone would like to make an add-on for this so people have the option to choose how difficult they want farming to be.
  6. [Solved] Supporting a block of ore

Why not disable cave-ins in the config until you are sure that the ore display can not collapse? That would prevent anything bad from happening.
  7. Quenching Mechanism

This is only the case with Steel. Quenching is actually a part of the Annealing process when used on copper silver and bronze, resulting in a softer metal.
  8. Mount&Blade:W mod wanted!

That sounds great. I would enjoy this also.
  9. Food symbols depending on weight

I prefer the increments that are already implemented in the game. For food they are: 0-20oz Tiny 20-40oz Very Small 40-80oz Small 80-160oz Medium Perhaps I was unfair in criticism of the unevenness. It only makes sense that the pictures would change when the size of the object as listed in game changes.
  10. Food symbols depending on weight

Could you at least use the SAME increments that are used in TFC? Your suggestion is not even consistent throughout itself the first section is 40 and the others are 60. The suggestion is completely aesthetic and unnecessary already since the weight is already indicated by words, by numbers, and by the little white bar. If someone wanted to make an add-on for this, fine. Otherwise this is just a huge waste of time that would more productively be applied to TFC2. The utter lack of observation and basic math is really a deal breaker for me.
  11. [Solved] Cant extract alcohol out of barrel. Feature?

Nah, just increase your "Drunkenness" skill until you max it out. Then equip it to your hot-bar and GO-GO-GOooooooooooo... Chug chug chug chug!* *May cause loss of vision and or hearing, impairment of balance and acute dieing.
  12. Alcohol Heating

Have you ever heard of the corn burning stove? Anywhere where you have an excess of inexpensive grain people (in modern times) burn it. I personally would rather drink, I mean brew the alcohol... Perhaps one should plant less grain?
  13. Eh, Killing a computer is half the fun of it. It's really great when you fix it after screwing it up. Accomplishment!
  14. New bow recipe

How about you use logs rather than a sapling? Considering that bows were/are never made out of saplings. You would get an extremely uneven weak bow that is quite useless. You actually use straight grained lumber from a mature tree to make a wooden self bow. Usually it is done so that the heartwood forms the inside (or backside depending on how you look at it) of the limbs, which is under compression, and the sapwood, which is more flexible, forms the outside (or front) of the limbs and is under tension.
