Hey guys, sorry news has been so slow lately. TFC2 has been a bit of a pain which makes me want to take frequent breaks from TFC and Minecraft in general. That said, rest assured that there is still progress on that front.
As far as TFC1 is concerned, Dunkleosteus is still hard at work on Build 76 in my stead. I’ve given him pretty much free reign to add and improve what he wants, although I do still have executive veto powers :p .I may even end up adding/fixing a few things myself, depending entirely on when he gets the final code to me, including 1.4.7 or 1.5 support(depends on the timeframe).
And now for the real announcement.
I’ve been in contact with the FTB team and coming soon TFC1 will be included in the FTB launcher. No more spending hours trying to get TFC working because you have the wrong version of forge, or you installed playerapi in the wrong order. This feature should be coming in the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
Update: Dunkleosteus wanted me to share this video where he goes over some of the things coming in 76.
Glad to see TFC coming to FTB! I hope this brings more people into the community.
It definitely will and I’m glad. This mod needs to gain more attention and followers and I think this is the way to do it. This and Mindcrack are my favourite mods that I play regularly with friends.
I also occasionally play on a Mindcrack server. Maybe one day we can get Mojang’s version of MineCraft on FTB (aka, vanilla) and I can get rid of MultiMC
Why no tekkit?
Tekkit isn’t needed. You can run bukkit forge. I have towny, iconomy, essentials running on my server.
any chance this means I can skip the work of trying to get ThaumCraft to work within TFC? I would love to see it part of a mod pack in that vein.
TFC wont be any more compatible with most mods than it already is. So if it didn’t work before, it won’t suddenly work now.
Has anybody realized that they are adding a modPACK for a single mod? Anyways, that’s really cool, it shows how far TFC has gone!
Now we just need the aether 2 to collab and FTB will be in buisness

I mean, I dunno if anyone else has seen how BDoubleO has gone ballistic making incredible Master Pieces with the RedPower 2 Microblocks. If anyone could show him the Chiseling and Planks and the insane amounts of tree types and stones from TFC I’m sure he wouldn’t dare ignore it. Tough the MindCrack fan base is rather Vanilla oriented that has barely gotten used to their FTB LPs so I dunno if they would consider doing a LP that hardly anyone would want to watch.
Honestly a new build sounds like more of an announcement than FTB. Loading TFC as a modpack prevents me from tweaking it the way I like – and it’s not hard to install alone once you know what you’re doing. Regardless I’m super psyched that a new build is on its way.
