    Build 0.79.10.375 Released

    Bioxx

I sat on this release for a few days to make sure that no other big bugs came out. This update should fix a few annoying issues. Head over to the changelog page for details.

I just updated to the newest version of TFC. One thing that is a HUGE problem for me is the "walkthrough thatch." I don't care that it can't be used as a building block. However, it doesn't keep enemies out which is the problem.

That's the whole point. Thatch is for roofs, not walls.

The whole point of an early inexpensive roof is to keep spiders out. Therefore Thatch fails at being a roofing material.

Conclusion: As it is, thatch has no practical use, it's just for show... I'll stop here, the rest is more appropriate on the suggestion forum.

I get it as not being for walls...my point is that is fails as a roof. It allows spiders in. so it's useless and I might as well make a log roof.

Or you can put in a ceiling and thatch over it so it still looks amazing on the outside but keeps spiders off your head lol. I really like the change to thatch as it gives an element of danger to the beginning.

Having not experienced the "solid" thatch (relatively new to TFC!), I can say I'm quite enjoying the current thatch mechanics.. and it would be both weird and overpowered if thatch was solid, to me. Given how easily accessible it is as a building material, I would only think it balanced if thatch would collapse like dirt if it was solid.. and that wouldn't make it too great a roofing material. The current thatch is great.

A player doing a new play-through could use thatch as a roof if they put a layer of early floating blocks (ex:Logs, clay) and proceed to build the roof inside the ring, this also allows someone to put a ladder on the inside of the house which would allows someone to climb through the thatch and look outside of the house.

ps, please do not care about my grammar I am tired.
