      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Cart - Thanks for the clarification. I'll bank on that Bukkit plugin coming out in the future, and hope I can find someone I can pay to make this Bukkit-compatible. Ryuu - Yeah, I agree. Thanks!
  2. It would be an extremely easy thing to do for the devs who've already done much more complicated things. They've already added most of the TFC textures to creative, but to add these 50 or so, they just need to add the 16x16 textures to where they're supposed to go, and make it so that clicking on those images spawns those items. It's the dev's job to make their mod(s) fully functional as intended - adding some of the items in the mod to creative mode, but not all of them, seems like it's something that's unintended which they'll fix/add later.
  3. most of them can be used by the players who don't have the mod installed * Fixed that for you. See: damn near every single plugin and mod for Bukkit. Hell, just making TFC compatible with Bukkit instead of Forge and the Player API would solve this. "the client jar and the server jar are now one only jar." So, that's why I have a roughly 5mb large minecraft.jar clientside, and a roughly 2mb large minecraft_server.jar serverside, right?
  4. Simple. See: The majority of them, as it's now been nearly a month since 1.3.2. I would, only I waited for the mod API when Minecraft alpha transitioned into beta. It didn't come. I waited for the mod API when the game was released in what was considered "a fully finished state." It didn't come. I waited for the mod API when 1.3 came. Still, the mod API hasn't come. I've waited for it patiently for years - it wouldn't be prudent of me to base decisions on the release of the mod API any longer.
  5. Thanks, RGamer - now THAT is a constructive, on-topic post which'll probably help. I'll check to see if NEI adds those to the side right now - thanks for your input!
  6. Your logic revolves around treating the written word as law. "The point of TFC is to only play on survival!" "The point of Minecraft is only to mine and craft, just like it says in the title!" "The point of [anything] is to [anything else]!" The problem with that is that it's your opinion, which contributes nothing to this suggestion. The creative inventory missing 50+ common items is a pretty big deal whether the server in question is set to survival or creative mode. As the owner of a survival server, I regularly need to access these items as quickly as possible to help players who are just starting out. With the addition of something that should've been there in the first place, alongside all his other items that are already in creative mode, this would make my job easier, and help more people have more fun. It's as simple as that.
  7. Not at all, actually. See: The tens of thousands of mods for SMP that don't require players to install anything in order to join a server which utilizes heir software.
  8. Az - Your opinions aren't facts. Even assuming they are: As the owner of a server, I frequently need to use these items to help others on my server have more fun and give them *exactly* the kind of gameplay they're looking for. Another - Stop sperging over semantics. I'll fix it immediately after posting this so autists won't keep whining over such small, inconsequential things as how a request is phrased.
  9. I'm okay with downloading and installing mods for Minecraft. Really, I am - but of my 300 or so online friends, only a very tiny percentage of them are, too. I'd like to play TFC Minecraft with loads more friends, but as it is now... Friend: Oh, you're in Minecraft - what's the IP so I can join? Me: [iP], but you'll need to install TFC. Friend: Oh... No thanks, [1: I don't know how to install mods and refuse to ever learn how because I am seriously that lazy / 2: I tried installing it but I can't get it to work and am too dumb to take a screenshot of the problem or screenshare over skype or teamviewer or even send you a crash log so you can fix it for me / 3: I already have other mods installed, and they would probably conflict with TFC, so nothing would work for me anymore] All three of those responses can be remedied by making it so that, in the SMP version of TFC, players don't need to download or install anything to play the game. I understand that this would probably involve modifying a *lot* of code at once, but at the same time, you've gotta realize: IT'S WORTH IT. Why? Because you're not going to see a 10 or 20% increase in how many people are interested in your mod: the number of people who know about your mod will at least DOUBLE if you make it compatible for them like that. Let's Plays and Mod Showcases featuring TFC would start popping up everywhere. And isn't that something you could really use more of? Thanks for your continued work on TFC!
  10. All the TFC-specific seeds, like maize, wild maize, oat, wild oat, etc. All the types of cobblestone. All the types of smooth stone. All the types of stone bricks. Why they weren't there already, I have no idea. Thanks for your continued work on TFC!
  11. LogBlock Compatibility

The title says it all. It would be deeply appreciated if the author of this mod were to make it compatible with LogBlock, one of the most popular anti-griefing plugins around, which records who places and destroys everything, making it impossible for griefers to get away with griefing on servers which utilise it.
  12. Kingdoms Brainstorming

I understand this isn't strictly related to kingdoms, but: please consider doing all you can to make this mod compatible with LogBlock, one of the most popular anti-griefing plugins around, which records who places and destroys everything, making it impossible for griefers to get away with griefing on servers which utilise it. Thanks for your consideration.
