Once monsters are restricted to crypts, haveing run out torches and darker nights might not be a bad idea. Ther question is, what would torches going out add other than realistic tedium? Trust me, I know how it is, I have little time to actually play TFC. I'm just getting frusterated here. Either I'm not combating my point correctly or you're not listening. So in order to understand you're train of thought better, why do you grow crops? And why do you need them fully grown? Sorry I have to resort to stupid questions to prove my point.

I must not have spawned in the same place as you haha. But after I wandered around for a bit I found a MASSIVE "swamp". A good amount of ponds and a shot ton of willows. Half of it is shale dirt/gneiss rock. Shale is sufficiently dark enough to make the dirt look good, I just have to make sure to cover the gneiss. A few of the ponds look promising for what I want to do, but it's going to take some more looking around or terraforming to get exactly what I want. It's not ideal, but it's far better then anything I have found so far, so thank you

For crying out loud, why does everyone think we need more SSP crop options?! Farming takes TIME. Plant your seeds and forget about them. Go check them out in the fall. Make tools, hunt food, mine, BUILD. It's a sandbox game guys, it's not like your crops growing is absolutely essential. If you are using it as a food source, plan ahead. Get STACKS of seeds to plant. Then when your crops ripen, you have food for the next whole year.

You're having to repeat what you say because you ain't listening. Bioxx and dunk don't give a shit about SSP. It's the way it is. Their mod, not ours. Besides, they have not 'broken' anything. Farming requires what it does IRL, time, sunshine, and rain. If your issue with farming is you want to use it as your food source, then plant a shit ton of seeds. I'm a hardcore player too, it sure doesn't bother me. Everyone seems to like complaining about these "long travel times" and "impossible farming" and how "SSP is broken" when in reality these changes add awesome to SMP (which I have never played BTW) and depth to SSP. Now if they DO add a feature that legit breaks SMP, (which I don't think they will) please, join me in protest! Until then, Adapt.

Bioxx has stated that (and I forget in which thread) as far as this goes he doesn't give a crap about SSP players. Also, you really need to just deal with it. I'm a farmer IRL and I'm quite happy with the time to grow and how you have to get things planted early enough. If you really want to rely on farming, do what you do IRL and plant a shit ton of seeds. It's not like they're hard to get .

I really really want a big ship that can have storage, crafting tables, ECT on it. And that travels at a realistic speed. That would be so sweet
