      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. You might want to point the page 1 link to facebook to the actual group page (here) rather than just the gallery... and btw it's not an open page, it still requires a fb  login. Not a big deal because the mod instance archive can still be found on the web page at http://kopgw2.enjin.com/home though. Scroll down to Instance Download. This is the one I grabbed and it works fine on the current version. Also, on the stomped.me TS3 server, TT's TFC has no channel that I can find. Just one for minecraft.stomped.me, which as been empty every time I checked it.

     

    It's been several days since I registered on Enjin and submitted an app. I verified the account and logged into the game quite a few times. I'm still starving because I can't even eat, and none of the names I see on the game server or admins have popped up on teamspeak either. Granted I'm usually on late at night (GMT-5) but not that late. Is there some step I missed? A verification step (adding char) wasn't explained anywhere until the 2nd time I logged into Enjin and it popped up. That's a lot of hoops to jump through, and apparently I still need to be whitelisted on the server. I was really hoping it would be worth it. Sorry for the criticism, but I've seen a lot of TFC servers just fade away. Disappointing because it looks like you guys put a lot of work into the mods, map, npcs etc.

     

    Edit: I see that my Enjin app was approved on Sunday (5 days ago) but I'm still unable to interact with anything on the server. Do I need to catch an admin online? Someone mentioned ingame that the facebook page gets more attention. Seriously? If that needs to be a step in the approval process, then maybe that needs to be added to the list.

     

    Edit2: Tux let TT know about my problem and came online to fix my build status. He said the Enjin app process is supposed to auto promote on the server but it's apparently broken. Well ok, at least he's aware of it now. Thanks for the build rights. :)

     

    Najual, thanks for the review of the server. I've been really busy with work and other personal things, so I've transfered my hosting account to another active member and he's is running the server these days. We have a dev mod that is looking into modding TFC for special features that our server would like but he doesn't have any internet access at the moment which is also why the quest stuff never really took off. Maybe months down the road if we decide to do a server reset or something, we might set up some solid quests.

     

    Hi I've been playing the server and I noticed a slight problem.

    When I opened my Inventory and I clicked on an Item, it disappeared. Not saying that the Item just completely destroyed itself, it was still there I could only not see it. Does Anyone know of a Way to fix this as its a huge pain.

     

    The issue you are experiencing is from a config file setting on your side. Its in your Custom NPCs config file. I believe its "CustomInventoryGUI" or something like that. Set it to false (or if its false set it to true) and that should fix the problem you're having.

No protection features are available for this mod.Now, I don't think that I'm very important but I think Bioxx/Dunk/Whomever need to heed what I'm saying here: If you do NOT start supporting NEI and Bukkit Forge you WILL lose your community. You are already losing your community. Roanoke, a popular TFC server is no longer running TFC for this reason. Griefing/Thieving is a huge problem and they're sick of dealing with it. I believe that I run the last biggest TFC server with over 100 active users on my server. Because people complain about the stealing, they leave the server and apparently go elsewhere but I can't imagine their experience will be any different on any other server... AND my Server developer has actually finagled TFC and Bukkit to work with each other. Not sure how he did it but even with Towny its still a problem because people can just chisel through walls and that sort of thing to get items from people.I know what some of you are going to say "Why not have a whitelist?" The answer is that we do, and the last theif who came here and did the most damage to the server was infact a clean account according to all of the ban registries so even whitelisting your server does nothing for the safety of items and griefing.

     

    In conclusion, this thread is to tell the TFC community that I'm considering cancelling my server service altogether or moving away from TFC and on to a set of mods that are willing to behave with the necessary items needed to keep assholes from taking hard earned items from my people. You need to reply to this thread with a strategy for making TFC work better with the tools that MC players expect to have on any given Minecraft Server.

    Do you know who develops the terramobs mod? I cannot seem to find a forum link anywhere (either on MC's main forum or TFC's and I know it was here before). Our server is having some serious issues with crashing and they're all related to Terramobs. Would love to send the dev some crash reports but way to know how to get a hold them!

    guys, theres a download link a MultiMC instance (basically a mod pack for the MMC launcher) The facebook page is open so you dont need a facebook account to get access to it. I also posted zip file of screenshots for custom recipes that will get updated often.

    Thats actually a good point. I think we do it to keep people who've been banned from other TFC servers and people who have been banned in the last 6 months or so. Keep in mind that we aren't whitelisted, we're greylisted and theres a difference.

    Hey there!

    I'm JimBouki from greece (GMT+2) and I've been playing Minecraft for about 2 years now. I'm new to TFC and I'd rather try it SMP rather than boring solo, so I guess the June reset on your server is a good opportunity for me!

    I'm in my 30s and have played on towny/iconomy/mcmmo servers so far, never banned on any of them so far. I'm not a PvPer, I'm mostly interested in building stuff and still learning TFC so I guess I'll be spending most of my online time practicing on it while reading the wiki and spamming the chat with my questions hehe.

    JimBouki thanks for your interesting on our server. If you go to the first page of this thread you will see a link to apply for build access. Currently the server is closed to anyone by admins as we are setting up content for the players. Once the server is open, we will update everyone here.

  6. mbolz, just checking up on this mod. Wanted to let you know that I'm resetting my server, June 1st. Would like to have an update for this mod by then if possible. Would also like to discuss the possibility of adding your mod to our server mod pack. We're considering making a mod pack for our server and already have the OK from some of the mod developers.

  7. As far as the reset, that affects towns, homes, onhand cash ect? Would we start with cash to buy a plot? Or keep some of the cash we currently have?

    Or basically a complete wipe? Could be good as the main town of Deadwood would seem to be in need of a rework, but Meinoch (is that the right name? I can't remember... M-something LOL) would be a real shame to lose. Those sewers are amazing!

    On the server you would start out with $30 of some iConomy money and we'd have an NPC like we do in Deadwood that would give you a one time drop of some meat and fruit, come bronze coins and a water sack.

    I would say hold off on an update, since it seems that there will most likely be another hotfix or so in the next few days. On top of that, it would be a shame to lose metal since it cannot be stored in chests any longer. Along with the fact that leather is now a pain to get. Meaning animals are far more valuable.

    Well I wouldn't update until the weekend so that hotfix will probably come before then, you can always keep the metal in the chest without removing it. It doesnt just fall out automatically so pull it out as you need it. I can also set up an NPC that would sell animal spawn eggs for a reasonable price as well.

  8. Any idea on how soon the server will be updated? And if so will there be a reset? I haven't been through a reset/update so am unfamiliar with how it is done on this server.

    I think we can do it this weekend if all the mods are updated. The Water Sack is now b76 compatible but I need to check on the other mod to see if its updated. A world reset just means a new world would be created and you would start from scratch again. We'll try and avoid this though. Just one note: Hotfixes were just released but they are starting to slow down. This is what I was waiting for so I didn't constantly update the server every day they came out with a fix.

  9. If you have NEi installed, which was implemented in the mod pack, then it should show you how to craft all of the healing items which are then applied to the bandages.

    NEI is a great mod but some of the custom recipes might not show up there as they are created using the Custom NPCs Mod. I'll try and coordinate with some of the admins and get any new recipes they've made on our recipes page.

    As far as Bulid76 is concerned... I always wait for hotfixes to come before I try updating anything. Its always a pain to update and then have to update again after I've done so. Moreover, I won't update to 1.5.1 until the mods were are running are doing the same. If you want to help those along, go to the Leather Water Sacks mod forum page and the Elegant Punt's mod forum page and pester the mod developers to update to 1.5.1

    Once that happens, we can move forward.
