This sounds like you(or someone else) opened your world in vanilla Minecraft,which caused all TFC items to be deleted. Only solution is to delete your world or to go into creative and cheat everything back in.

However,I got tired of SSP pretty quickly. I joined a bunch of servers,but they all had problems in them,such as lag or having too many players. What can you contribute? I can get a lot of resources,of pretty much any kind,very quickly. I'm very good with TFC knowledge-in other servers I tend to be the person that people would ask if they needed help with something. I can also be very active and play several hours a day. How would you describe your play style? I tend to live close to spawn and be a shopkeeper,but I'm not very good in teams so I live alone,typically. Aside from that I tend to be a packrat,collecting everything I can and never really discarding anything.

This is definitely either a bug or,as the above user discussed,possibly you're killing younger animals. Try to spawn an animal with a spawn egg and then kill it. If it still won't drop anything,then it's definitely a glitch and needs to be reported.

I really don't like this idea. A saw mill seems like a late-game item. Maybe a saw mill should give 16 planks instead of 8 but it definitely shouldn't be the only way to do it. Also,this may be a bit too modern for TFC's timeline. I'm not sure what in the time of TFC would power this.

I tend to make a seperate forge building and put my forge,bloomery,crucible,blast furnace,and anvil in there.

You'll have to talk to your server's owner or admin. No one else can do that.

This started 2 days ago. The server used to be on nearly 24/7 and now it's only on a few hours a day. Fix it or don't expect to keep many of your players.

I've also seen the invisible blocks glitch when joining a server or when mining an ore block exposing another ore block when I have a lot of lag.

This is caused by something called a "ticking entity". Lucky for you,this ticking entity is a skeleton. Just set your world to peaceful,join in,and set it back to whatever difficulty you had it as.

Making 1 quarry out of each size won't get you very accurate results-I'd recommend making 5 or so of each size to get more accurate results. Also,in survival,use powder kegs-get enough gunpowder and 1 blast will get you a LOT of gems.

So basically an early game copy of books? Nah. You can get leather early enough. Get a saw and flux and that's the only rare stuff you'll need for a book. I personally find it easier to open up Notepad or such and just type down whatever notes I'm taking. Requires no resources,takes up no space.

Some plugins might also have a command along the lines of /killall or /butcher to kill all the mobs. Also Kitty,don't the vanilla mobs and the TFC mobs drop the same things? Edit:saw that they were vanilla iron ingots,the TFC zombs drop wrought iron ingots. So definitely vanilla mobs spawned by a command.

I support this. I never did understand how burning wood made it go from able to cook foods and barely heat iron to workable managed to make it smeltable and liquefy it.
