      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. I have an idea....maybe not forevertools, but a way so that, every time you repair it, it loses a percentage of max durability? Enough so that you can't use it forever, or even what seems like forever, but not so much that it won't last for a pretty freaking long time with good maintenance. Like, maybe when you repair it, it loses a percentage of max durability inversely proportionate to how much durability it had when it was repaired? So if you take care of it often, when it still has high durability, it'll last a lot longer than if you almost wear it out every time. And with this, eventually it'll fall apart, but not so quickly that it's useless.
  2. Balanced recycling of tools

I saw it. I'm saying that if you make it just a drastic jump down, rather than nothing, it rewards smart players, AND is realistic.
  3. Carpentry

Alright...I'm surprised this hasn't been suggested(recently, at least). Just something similar to smithing or knapping, in that you have to have the plans for it, and then carve and smooth it(for actual carpentry) or just know what to remove(to show whittling). That way, maybe you could make a plank into 3 or 4 sticks. Just a simple idea I'd like to see, since actual carpentry is as much a skill as smithing(though in different ways).
  4. Balanced recycling of tools

You know, one thing you could do, simple but realistic, is that when it breaks, you get a broken tool head, no stick, and if you melt it down, you get maybe 30% of the material used to make it. Even if it had had 1 use left, you would've gotten 65%...Kinda to represent the 'last straw'.
  5. List of bugs for beta 2 build 49

I don't know if it was intentional, but in the Rolling Hills and Plains biomes, i haven't found any rocks. At all. I've had to go to beaches and such to find them. As well, you can't stack cooked pork anything unless you're doubling a stack. So you can stack one with another, but then to stack another one on, you have to have two, and and add the stack of two to the previous stack of two. EDIT: Alright...something happened which fixed both...Probably just a client side issue, then. And broken again...I don't understand.
  6. Edit: Didn't see you had a partner. Oh well.
