      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Animals!

Then I have to assume you have never PVPed or played any shooters? Otherwise, kinda funny that killing Elephants in a game is wrong but people meh thats fine. lol
  2. Metal blocks

Well for a couple of reasons, One this was for metal blocks more so then metal storage, getting storage out of it was just a bonus. Maybe the magic of welding flux transfers over to ingots placed together...... It's minecraft it only has to make a little sense. Obviously it is not a realistic idea, but I figured it "felt" real enough and killed a few birds with one idea. We could modify the idea so that you place the first one, then you have to "lay" down a place of flux on it, this would look like sulfur does, when its on a block. Then you have to place the second one at a weldable temperature, "welding" the placed double ingots together. Every time you add another layer you would have to place the flux and heat the new ingot. But if this was done, it is ALOT more effort and time, also using metal plates might make more sense then double ingots if they are getting welded with this process.
  3. Metal blocks

Why not make double ingots placeable. Make it so that when you place it, it adds a layer. Then you could make a metal block take 10 double ingots, this would allow them to be partial blocks as well. Then they would be able to match up heights and maybe widths with chiseled blocks. When harvesting them you would need an equal or better pick-axe. (I would say better but then if you only have tin you can't get your placed tin back) This would also allow for a storage method for bars. And when you harvest them, it would just remove one layer at a time like charcoal, and each layer would drop two regular ingots, you would lose the weld because you are breaking the block, maybe also explains how it stays together in the first place.
  4. This would require modding base classes. You could fake the other blocks having water ,that probably wouldn't be that hard. Just detect the water levels around it and pick the right one using the water level code. However, to get the water on either side of the block to act right you would have to change the water base classes. Otherwise water would just stop at blocks, it would also still try and flow around it, which would look weird, and likely be more confusing.
  5. Weapons Rack

No, I made it for the new weapons rack that was added to TFC.
  6. Weapons Rack

Hi I figured I would try and help out so I made a file for the weapons rack. It looks like crap when you look at it closely so I suggest you try it in game. Let me know what you think. I would like to see your guys creations too.
  7. Additional Chisel Functions

Reply to Jasnatdic Dunk said 1000bits per block change which is 125 bytes which is .122 kilobytes per block change. So your example with 40 people (thats a pretty big server btw, crazy to think they might be in the same area too) becomes .122*40 = 4.88 kilobytes sent for every block every person breaks. Assuming everyone is breaking one block a second then you would send 195.3 kilobytes extra per second. That's not really a lot of data and I would be surprised if a server that could handle 40 people didn't have at least that much bandwidth to spare. An estimate of what a vanilla Minecraft server might use per person is about 250kilobits/sec, so a 40 man server would need to have a connection that could handle 10000 kilobits/sec or 1250 kilobytes/sec. So this feature would require 15.6% extra bandwidth in the worst case. A math error is possible, if it completely fudges the numbers then.... my bad.
  8. Stone Anvil Problems

I found that when I try to use an anvil it freezes my hot bar. I got around this by making two stone hammers. I then use one on my hotbar to make the stone in to an anvil. The second I keep in my inventory to place in the anvil. After the hammer is left there and I exit the anvil interface, it seems to act normal.
  9. Build 49d, crash

....I installed forge, playerapi and tfc into a fresh minecraft download, I don't see how there could be a conflict
  10. Build 49d, crash

Had tried that already. Just tried it again, same crash error.
  11. Build 49d, crash

Was not crashing on 49b, updated to 49d and the crashing started, starting a new world fixed it then it happened again. Only other mod is craftguide, new version. There is a fruit tree that would be loaded next to my base. I'm guessing it is the new fruit tree tile entity tick stuff but thats only a guess.
