ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.
Any questions or comments can be directed to Claycorp on either platform.

You're welcome.Well I guess I wont be playing Terrafirmacraft. Maybe one day it will be compatible. Thank you SO MUCH for you help though!!

Yes, let me see. But I think that the two mods are incompatible. Sorry, but I think you need to remove glsl.Should I post a new error log with the latest forge and Terrafirmacraft?

But quartz is too common to be an important part of the magic.Okay, I can see about doing that. I will just have to keep up with Bioxx's updates then.
I found in current TFC, that you can easily get alot of gems, but only chipped or flawed in any substanial amount. Not to mention, for good enchantments and/or potions, you would need bigger gems and crystals as well. Plus, some of the gems seem to only appear around certain rock formations (if I'm using the term right).
I also have noticed I will have to add Quartz to the gem list. Its a very common crystal that has countless uses in magic, but is usually nothing more than a battery or focus (plus it's the most commonly used crystal in technology as well!)

Please can you kindly edit your first post and make a spoiler, because this wall of text is too much tall
EDIT:As you can see here there's another topic with your same problem http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/1637-48g-compatibility-with-glsl-and-dynamic-lighting/
Try reading here, maybe you can find something useful, or maybe no.

Seems that the latest is only available via direct link, not adfly.I do have Player API. I will try latest Forge and latest TFC though. Wow I dint even realize that!! Thanks!!

Please don't talk about this. I don't have good memories of it . However, yes blocks that generates themselves are too much. But not a vulcanic island generated with the world. The lower layer must be of basalt, because it has a volcano under it after all. And obviously there is also the volcano.however when you start saying things like reproduce themselves I think of the problems with cancer. Cancer is a cell that reproduces itself faster than it dies.

Tropicraft has pearls? Anyway we are talking about self generating islands and a new biome for this awesome mod. Nothing to do with tropicraft and other dimensions, or pina coladaHave you guys seen the tropicraft mod? let's not turn it into that with all the pearls and stuff. let's keep it TFC and not a flowery resort really xD

Now we need a way to stop the island generation when it's complete, because no one wants a basalt blob invading his world. Then what about growing plants that generate when the island is finished? Obviously very slowly.well, that's true... honestly i said "an hour" just for this idea not to be taken out because of the lag
in fact, the idea is to the process to be pretty slow, but noticiable, so if you have had a game for a very long time, you could see how the land slowly changed as the island rised by itself from the seas.
I would love for this mod to be dynamic in this aspect. In MC the only thing that can change the world is you, creepers and endermans. And since you can easily take those one down, this gives the player a great -even though limited- control over the world they are in. Instead, i would like the world to be changing on it's own as i play. Ever seen the Nature Overhaul mod? was my favorite one 'til i meet this one.it's really a shame they don't work together... :
Okay, i went a little off topic here ._. back on topic... wee, tropical islands!

No idea, but you're not using the latest forge and TFC.I am using the latest version of Terrafirmacraft B2 Build50b. I have the latest Forge 4.1.2.259 Universal and Optifine 1.3.2 HD B3. Until this point everything worked fine. As soon as I installed the Gsls Shaders that I got from Seux v10 RC3 (which work great with MC 1.3.2 and everyother mod I run) i get this error with Terrafirmacraft.
http://<iframe src="http://pastebin.com/embed_iframe.php?i=vZEyX8Yp" style="border:none;width:100%"></iframe>
Any idead what I should do??
They are TFC beta2b50c and forge 4.1.2.260.
Also you didn't say if you installed playerAPI.

Ok for the diamond I didn't look at the wiki so I was wrong, but for the jasper and the ruby...
Also in TFC there isn't aluminium, but we are in suggestion so we can talk about it.
Here is the coal that I found in the wiki:

Yes, that would be ok.Well, it would be extremely slow -like, spawning a block every hour of play?
Lag free islands. Buy your own today!

Illumination...after a moment...total dark. And the cpu usage? In fact, many island are known to have been created because of underwater volcanoes. Maybe underwater volcanoes could slowly but constantly generate dirt and rocks around them, get rid of the water blocks, and eventually, if you stay in the same world for many many time, create volcanic island?

And if the gems spawn in deposits of other ores, for example the diamond spawns in the middle of a coal deposit, because diamond is compressed coal. The ruby spawns near aluminium because it's an aluminium oxide. And the jasper can spawwn in the middle of a quartzite layer, because it derives from quartz. And so on, but they must be rare, not too common. What he said...

Yes, that's a good idea, but a stained wood must be of a more artificial color than a natural wood. I.e. if the blue mahoe is a rare tree from where you can make beautiful planks, you need to find it before building your house with that shade of blue. If you dye the planks, they will look less beautiful than the original ones.Ok, so, i had an idea pop into my head while I read this. The idea is, wood staining! How awesome would that be, it would work similar to the current dye system, i have no knowledge of how staining works, when it was invented etc. but i just thought I'd throw it out there.

And underwater volcanoes, that heat the surrounding water, with some tweaks can resist at water. To extend on the idea, what about desert islands and Volcanic islands? Desert islands that exist now, well tbh, they suck. And Volcanoes in general are awesome, so maybe if volcanoes ever get added, they can also create islands.

You "feed" it until it's full. Then it slowly becomes empty and it has a small change of giving you ores or gems. When it's empty, all restarts and you need to refill it. You can see how full is it looking in its gui.Guys! Help me out a little bit here please! So if I leave the sluice as is, does it do anything? or do I continuously have to feed it with gold pans? Also, what is the usual depth for finding ores? I found a large cave system that goes very deep but I can't find any exposed ores.... As you can see I'm very new to TFC
EDIT: It gives you ores only if there are some spawned naturally in the surroundings. It gives you i.e. copper, and when you find the copper ores while miming and you mine them all, the sluice no longer detects copper, then no longer gives you copper.

Yes, probably. But only if fishes like it.When fishing is upgraded (imagine that this would happen eventually) perhaps it could be used as a bait of sorts?
0 -
No, don't do that. It will only give you issues. Now it's a .zip mod and it needs to be put in the mods folder. Bioxx worked hard for this. Don't make vain his efforts. The mod will work even if put in the jar, that is how I installed it.

Or it can be like so:The knapped-stone headed upgrade makes me think you could just replace the crafting recipe for the sharpened sticks in a 3 by 3 with a 3 by 3 of javelins for the upgrade version then. Keeps it simple and uses an item already in the game.
You need to craft a knife and a string together to get a knife with string ( )
Then you right click in the placed sharpened sticks, your knife with string goes away and you upgrade one of their spikes.
This would be more practical than crafting another with stone spikes.
OR, if you don't want knife and string just use javelin.

There can be also palm trees, crabs, shells sometimes containing pearls, corals, algae and many other things.

Did you install playerAPI? I can't see it in the error log.
And TFC goes in the mod folder. Did you put it in the jar?
