Your saying you cant find stone for a forge but i dont understand do you have a pick axe.... your first forge could be just mine a central block in a 3x3 area of stone or you can make the forge using stone bricks (brick are obtained by placing a chisel and a rock in your crafting table. Even with a forge, glass takes a long time to be made

hum well for me it turns out i want paying attention and had accidently replace the bismuth with bismuth bronze i am a little color blind i guess

Terrafirmacraft is a complex mod and it makes everything you do in Minecraft just that much more challenging. Here are some common mistake that can turn out to be very frustrating. Chisel doesn't let you make smooth stone, stairs or slabs: Make sure u have a hammer in your hot bar along with your chisel Can't create/light a fire pit, a forge or a bloomery: If its raining you wont be able to create or light a fire pit you need to take cover and cover must be a solid block. Slabs and stairs won't do it. Your forge and bloomery won't start if its raining and they will not consume any more charcoal, thus will slowly go out, even if you try increasing the heat with a bellows. When creating a fire pit or a forge make sure to drop the fuel (3 sticks/9 charcoal) one by one and to stand away as to not pick them up before you can use your firestarter. If your firestarter looses durability on each click it means you are doing it right but just got unlucky. Try again. If its not loosing durability then you are doing something wrong re-check your recipe. If you have charcoal and ore in your bloomery but no output and your bloomery is light its probably because you have more ore than charcoal allways keep more charcoal that ore in the bloomery Unable to make alloys following the wiki These page in the wiki needs updating. You do not need to follow a particular pattern just shift+click your unshaped ores in the metallurgy table and you will get the alloy. And they don't just need to me liquids they need to be heated to white all of them. This will take some skills to get them all to the same heat at the same time since the Forge doesn't heat every slot at the same temperature, but rotating your unshaped ores within the Forge will get you there. Keeping your metallurgy table close to your forge is a good idea to as you will need to act quickly. Unable to make tools with alloy metals (bismuth bronze, bronze etc) If you were able to make your unshaped ore into a ore ingot I assume your were using a copper anvil and when u tried you place the plans for your tool you didn't get the 3 rules to shape the tool head. You need to make a bronze anvil to make tools with these alloys. So go ahead start making ingots X2 with your bronze and make the bronze anvil the same way you made the copper anvil. And bookmark the metal page in the wiki this will become your bible. I personally made all these mistakes and I hope this helps. If you have other common mistakes you think i should add let me know I am using Beta 2 Build 52d For MC v1.3.2 on my own private server.

I really like your buildings this is a building i made recently as a blacksmith shop. I browsed google images for inspiration (the inspiration photo is included in the album) and built it in creative. that was on the 1st day of playing with TFC I was freaking out cause it took me a very long time to set up the server

I'd like to add just one detail to this explanation: The propick will give you the following readings : nothing of interest, traces of <ore>, small sample of <ore>, medium sample of <ore>, large sample of <ore> and very large sample of <ore> I usually look for the middle of large or very large sample before going up or down. I also try to keep a good stack of ladders on so I can dig straight up or straight down. ( I want to make sure to remain in the middle of the detected sample) Be careful when digging up because if you hit the bottom of a river or worst an ocean you may drown very fast cause you cant just plug the hole with any material. (you cannot place a rock in water)

my friend crafted a Nether portal in our private server all was fine untill he tried to go through. its crashed the server I had to completely delete him from the server log and files before we could run it again

I wish they could come up with a contraption that negates the rain for bloomeries and forge. Every time I want to use my forge it rains.... at least firepits can be rain protected but it takes sooooo long to cook a stack of torches

At one point it was but yesterday ii notice is wasn't i still haven't figured out the temperature cause just liquid doesnt work or there is something i am not noticing but that i am doing 50% of the time. oh I see well if that is the case maybe you could try updating to 52 e and load a world

Getting ores at the beginning is hard, very hard. You cannot rely on on surface rocks and sluicing alone. Until you start getting used to the prospector's pick you wanna make sure you save your ingots to make pickaxes and prospector's pick. but after finding just 2 or 3 veins, you will have so much ores its insane. I personalty gave up on searching through caves systems as they rarely have exposed veins and even the pro pick doesn't pick up much ores. My personal technique was to chose a spot dig a spiral stair case down and use the pro pick every 12 blocks on my way down. When u find even a trace of any ore ( expect for cryolite and cinnabar which are redstone and useless for now) I stop digging down and start digging in all four direction until i find the direction that the propick tells me there are increasing amount of ores you need to be in the middle of a very large sample to be very close to the vein and then u can dig up of down (bring ladders) to find it

Clay should appear in ponds and along rivers its not frequent but when you find some you'll have clay for weeks. Also you might want to dig around a little as clay is inside dirt blocks, it can be covered in grass even on the side
