ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -

Talk about a run on sentence! So you dig down below where you found the small ore about 10 blocks. You then pro pick around and discard the places where it's lower. Ok and if you can't find it then you dig down some more and try again. got it thanks.

How far do you usually have to dig down to reach the vein, if one is there?

Something I ran into on a lets play is marking the locations of ore on the surface. So like when he punched a rock and ore would pop out instead, he would mark the location and said that there was a chance that there was ore underneath it? Something like that anyways. So if that's not the case, I just recently got out of the stone age and I realized I don't know what to do now. I got the majority of my ore from sluices...

Well looking at the two different screenies I can see that you guys are on different maps. Unless rei's minimap alters the coordinates somehow. Edit: I just checked and Dunkleosteus has it right, so you either gave us the wrong seed or rei's minimap is wrong.
