      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. [TFC 0.78.9] ExtraFirma Addon v1.0.4

Awesome! I've always wanted to do something like this myself, with all those little features, but I've never really gotten around to it. Thanks for doing this though. I've played around with it and I like it. Can't wait for the next update.
  2. I'm back and somethings missing

MAGIC! *waves hands throughout air with rainbow behind him*
  3. Donations

I wish I was older. If I was, I would definitely set aside some money and donate. But Bioxx and Dunk have spent countless hours on this, and I agree that people should think about donating if they can.
  4. I'm back and somethings missing

I agree. Eternal is still doing Youtube videos, so I watch him on that, but at least Treyflix and Wolf are back. But yeah, JAG needs to come back.

I wish I had a giant battle sloth...
  6. Mountable animals & more realistic mobs

Filling a bowl with ocean water doesn't give me salt. Just saying. I don't think it's that easy either.
  7. Looking for Help with Pottery

Yes. But you don't *need* four. It's more efficient with four, but you can do it with 1. Or 2. Or 3. Or 4, like you said.

Exactly. Exactly. That's EXACTLY what this means.
  9. I'm Back!

Hey everyone! Kimbble here, also known as (or formerly known as, XD) The All-Seeing-Eye. Some of you might have noticed that I suddenly "disappeared". Sorry about not being to update earlier, but I'll try to explain that as best as I can in this post. Hopefully, you still remember me and my antics, but if you don't, or weren't there, I'm here to start them again. Well, for a loooong time, I hadn't been able to really play TFC that much, until recently, or that is, a few hours ago*. Instead, I've been playing lots of CIvilization 5 and 4 (with the new expansion pack for V), Dwarf Fortress, Europa Universalis III and IV, Crusader Kings II, and FTB, among others. Family/Private reasons came up that stopped me from playing TFC and visiting the forums. I've also been trying to learn basic Java, HTML and a little c++. Maybe now I can at least try to understand what devs are saying in regards to code. The aforementioned reasons, along with studying, moving, and other school related things took up my time and really made it hard to do anything with these forums or TFC in general. However, I think I've come back at a really cool time for TFC. I see that it's now updated for 1.6.x and is at build 77. The last time I played it was around build 69 or 68. Tons of things have changed since then, and I especially think the newest build has brought with it some amazing changes, such as the updated early game. I also hear talk of Beta 3? And apparently the whole Beta 2 thing has been abolished, and instead will be integrated into TFC itself. I'm not a hundred percent sure though, so feel free to educate me on the topic. I'm also a little iffy on the new themes, but oh well. What can you do? I can't wait to return to TFC and the forums. But if I seem unknowledgeable/ignorant about the newest changes or recent happenings, please forgive me. *I played a 1.5.1 b76 world, and spent a long time getting up to the Tin/Zinc/Bismuth age. Then, I looked at the TFC page and saw b77 was released. ;/
  10. Build 77

Yeah, i've had the firestarter thing too. It's actually kind of annoying. I wasted like 3 log piles on that.
  11. Harsher Winter

As it is in Canada. WOW the temperature range in Toronto.
  12. [77.10] Ingot Pile & Coal Render Bugs

    Alright, thanks.
  13. [77.10] Ingot Pile & Coal Render Bugs

When you place an ingot pile, and then place a different metal ingot on top of it after that, the bottom ingot pile renders as the same type of metal as the upper ingot pile. Pictures for clarification, done with copper and bronze. At first, I have a copper ingot pile. After placing a bronze ingot pile on top, the copper ingot pile renders as bronze. Even after removing the upper bronze ingot pile, the copper ingot pile still renders as bronze. After removing the bottom ingot pile, you can see I have 2 copper ingots. Another thing is, if you try to place and ingot in a block occupied by a chiseled block, it actually makes an ingot pile, but doesn't render at all. However, when I try to place another ingot on it, the original one comes back to me. Now for the bituminous coal thing. This is basically an X-ray exploit. While completely surrounded by bituminous coal (i.e. mining through a vein), every 16 blocks or so (one chunk), all the bituminous coal blocks in front of yu go invisible and you can see through the world. But when any other block is placed it is fixed (such as a torch or other block). When you remove the block, it comes back again. A torch has been placed:
  14. Harsher Winter

I'm pretty sure crops already don't grow in winter. Don't quote me on that though. But yeah, I would like the monsters staying in day time thing.
  15. Post your TFcraft Pictures

It's Hawaii! From the side: After I cleared it out for sand:
  16. stoneage, copperage, bronze age way to fast (modified)

As do I. I atarted my seed 4 days ago. I have now found hematite..... After mining for 2 days irl time to find iron....yeah.
  17. I'm Back!

Yeah. I miss him and his seemingly infinite head-slposions.

    NOTHING!!! AAHAHAHAH!!!
  19. I'm Back!

    Oh! Welcome back, Wolf!
  20. Ingame money

For me, if I needed anything less that a bar, I would just trade in ores or small ores. And Paolo, just because you and your community want coinage, it doesn't mean that if coinage isn't added, they can't be included in the game. One 64th of a bar of metal isn't even worth anything anyway. A small ore is 1/10 of a bar...Yeah.
  21. Render Bettur

What version of TFC are you playing on? The barrels and bellows bug was fixed in 77.8.
  22. Ingame money

Alice, thanks for the links of the coin trees. I wasn't aware that coins were made like that. Anyway, while I do like the added complexity and believably in TFC, and more of this is welcome, I don't believe that it's necessary to add in features that are really just complexity for the sake of complexity. Bartering may be primitive, but that's no reason not to use it. And while you do bring up a good point Paolo: bartering works fine for that too. That's what I prefer about bartering. The flexibility. Who says you have to trade in copper coins? If I don't want to trade a full copper ingot for 5 grains of rice, I wont. Instead I'll trade for something of lesser value, like 3 calamari or a few Native Copper ores. Also, making coins out of every metal might get hard to manage. Although I must admit that coin piles would be cool. I guess what I'm trying to say is that making these coins won't be worth the effort. In TFC, why would i want to spend clay, logs, straw and metal to make smaller denominations of copper(or whatever metal)? I would just trade something I already had instead of going to the trouble of spending more resources for the ability to trade in a lower denomination. That's just what I think though.
  23. I'm Back!

No problem, Sda. It happens. I'm sure lots of us (me included) won't have enough time once school starts. 5 more days, and that's it. And I've read your most recent fanfiction, and it's not bad.
  24. What is TFC to you?

Wait...Someone is attempting to update Cubic Chunks to 1.6.2? YEAHHH!!
