@Zerren can we get an update on what you are currently working on?

I believe he's working on the potion system, or he's busy with other IRL things. But the current WIP would probably be the potion/medicine thing that there are screenshots on. But yeah, I'd like to see some newer screen shots as well.

And as much as I would like the medicine system to be quite fleshed out by the time b78 is out, I think you'll have quite a big release, so you could try putting in some other things, like bug fixes, the gem/metal blocks, the item naming, etc. All in due time though.

Well, the Holmesian Event was about 4 or 5 threads, so the Off-Topic forum would be more than enough.

Ahh. No problem. I just think Roy Mustang is pretty awesome. What RP Forum do you run? And derailing the off topic forum.....sounds vaguely oxymoronic. And yeah, after you SDA, I can't really remember any group of people that posted and were active enough for me to call them veterans. The no.1 posting is Support AFAIK...The age of lurk is upon us.

I think that right now, metals don't have much of a use other than tools or armour. These "useless" metals need uses. Brass technically has a use in making red steel, along with all the other things like sterling silver. But they should have more uses that that, perhaps something like decoration. Or they could be made into metal leaf to colour a block. However, I don't think brass should be a tool metal, even if you can do it in real life, for the sole reason that 

Having every metal useful to make everything sort of takes away the motivation to get anything.

Nice. You'll do a good job. By the way, your gems are simply amazing, probably my favourite part about the mod.

Would you consider supporting the ExtraFirma addon? It would be a lot of work, but it would be cool. And I know a lot of people like that addon.

It might be a lot of work, but crafting the currently useless gems and minerals into blocks would be cool. I could throw together some graphics if you're interested.

What about the useful ones? Metal blocks would be cool.

The teleport mechanic has been redone. Now instead of gold to teleport, you need to get orbs. Orbs can be gotten by putting 1 exquisite gem that isn't sellable(look at the gem merchant to tell) in the crafting square to get an orb. You can upgrade gems from the lower tiers by combining 4 in a small square to get the next tier up.

I can't do the gem combining thing. I've done it with chipped flawed and regular in a crafting table and my inventory.

The orb thing works for me though.

Yah, I hadn't thought of that. I second adding possible "uses" for these things.

To be honest, I don't think it is really that "hard" per se. I agree it is challenging, but I like that. As a person who was pretty well established before the economy change, I might have a biased opinion. Towns are very expensive to make/start. Then again, shouldn't they? Bottom line is, I think it's fine as it is.

It is? Ctrl+f for vessel, mould, and shift-click only gives me something about spawning items in. Unless that's it, I can't find it.

Suggested Name: Vessel and Mould Shift-Clicking

When you shift-click a stack of more than one mould into the liquid metal pouring vessel inteface, the whole stack goes into the interface, and the metal does not pour because there are multiple moulds in the inventory. This is possibly just a feature or just can't be fixed, but it is annoying. However, you could always just click them in one by one. If this is intended, my apologies.

 

It would be cool to see you brink back weapon/tool/armour naming. Perhaps a weld recipe or anvil recipe with the tool/weapon head and a name tag (or maybe a new item such as an "etching plate") to engrave the name in might work? Im'm not sure, but it would be interesting.
