ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.
Any questions or comments can be directed to Claycorp on either platform.

The 0% bloom issue has been fixed, however, you are able to melt down a 40% bloom in the forge into a 100% filled ceramic mold. @mods: should we continue this thread or create an 'official' bug report for this?
-
Not sure I understand the changelog entirely on how you go about taming wolves. I have given them bones and petted them over the course of several days. They follow me and teleport if they are far enough away. I cannot issue command to sit, or prevent them from slaughtering other animals (cows, sheep, etc). If this is in fact the intended interaction, personally I believe this makes the wolf/dog pointless to tame. I normally have one or two dogs that I tame and follow me on long trips for some protection and to keep me company as to not get lonely.
-
I was able to reproduce this with TFC 0.79.7, Forge 1217, without any additional mods. I didn't even know you could melt them into a mold with the forge, I always assumed you HAD to use the anvil to shape it

Please edit your post with the following templatehttp://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/4662-read-before-posting-797-official-bug-list/ If a mod comes by and sees this out of template, it will be locked.

I had Fastcraft, NEI, MapWriter, and Optifine installed before, but tested on a fresh install (just in case something else was going on).

I have posted a few thank you's here and on IRC, but it great to see someone make a topic dedicated to supporting the devs, instead of being a simple reply to a buried post long forgotten. I am not so good with words (as this post shows lol), but you said it just perfectly Beardedwombat! To the devs/staff, you guys are epic and would like to personally state how appreciative I am of all your hard work. -Thank You

I dont use pumpkins just because i dont like they way they look. i still eat even though you really dont have to right now. i havent used support beams just because im afraid to go mining As for charcoal, i actually figured out a way to keep the old way of making a room, just have to get creative with sand instead of a doorway (also helps having glass window to see if its done)

Oh wow! now I'm paranoid about my server lol. I guess I have just been extremely lucky, that I've been using doDaylightCycle for about 3 months now and don't have any of those problems.
-
I see in the config files there is a new option to adjust the time scale on a server when there are no players currently online. I would like to see more option to this, as currently anything below 1 will disable the slow-down. What I do on my server (b78) is have a hopper clock and command blocks to turn doDaylightCycle off when there are no players online (in game mode 0). It would be nice if this was possible with the config... say setting I:simSpeedNoPlayers to 0 or maybe -1 instead of building a redstone contraption in bedrock in the spawn chunk.
-
@Kitty: thanks! What kind of problems though? I have been doing that on my b78 server for a long time now, and havent noticed any adverse effects.

This is from the change log There are also other posts on this exact topic that exist already, with answers, and with the same conversation we are having. http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/6898-solved796-horizontal-support-beam-crafting-recipe-broken/ http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/6839-solved-horizontal-support-beam-recipe-broken/
-
I would +1 the option to starve to death, albeit at a slower rate than 50% as in b78

Please read the Change Log. http://terrafirmacraft.com/change_log.html

[Solved][79.4] Nutrition/MaxHP only going down despite balanced meals?
Red3Tango replied to Henduluin's topic in Support
Not all features can be tested properly by the coders, so it's extremely difficult to make a 'stable' release without involving a large tester base. For example there was a bug that if you broke a soaked hide on a log it would drop the wrong item, that was a bug for a long time before anyone noticed, as the way to reproduce was to use the feature in the wrong way (devs and most testers don't always test features in the wrong way). I personally like that they are releasing how they are, it gives us the community the ability to help make the game more stable for everyone. These are all 'beta' releases, and it is sad that a lot of gamers out there have no idea that means it may not be stable, and its meant for testing. I personally know that some things are more buggy than others, and could have been noticed and fixed before added into the main branch... but this is a free mod/game and I am grateful that they are working so hard on it and trying to give us a great gaming experience. So to Bioxx, Dunk, and Kitty (and everyone else involved behind the scenes), keep up the great work! -
[Solved] Crops, Fruit Trees and Bushes don't spawn on southern hemisphere.
Red3Tango replied to ziat007's topic in Support
Ok that is just cool! I was doing lots of /time add, then saw in another topic that that does not actually process the ticks properly and wont cause things to grow. But never noticed that the seasons were reversed in the southern hemisphere, great feature though! -
Ok I will give you that, I do know with poultry its great. I guess I was just thinking about beef, with that I prefer not to alter it at all before smoking
-
This is one thing that I have been wondering about since I read the change log, why would you need to brine something in order to smoke it?

Version#:0.79.6 SSP/SMP(Single/MultiPlayer):SMP SuggestedName:Items bounce on lava source blocks SuggestedCategory:Minor Description:If you throw items onto lava source block there is a very little chance they will be destroyed. The majority of the time it plays the burning sound, but does not catch fire. The items will bounce around for a long time before finally burning up, or just disappearing. Items burn up when thrown into lava that is flowing down, but not flowing sideways. Version#:0.79.6 SSP/SMP(Single/MultiPlayer):SMP SuggestedName:Breaking Leather Rack SuggestedCategory:Annoyance Description:After you place a soaked hide on a log, if you break the hide off it drops "Leather Rack", regardless of what size of hide was on the log. If you place the "Leather Rack" back on the log it renders properly, however, if you use a knife to scrape the hide, when you hit the last spot the game crashes. Ive actually seen things like this on my vanilla 1.7.5 server on some seeds. Not the hard-edged biomes, but the perfectly straight lines in the ground.

With how much has changed between b78 and b79, minecraft version, world gen, blocks, items, etc... it is not possible to upgrade a 78 world to 79, you must create a new one.
