      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. dirt->dry grass->grass

This would probably have the same issue as multi stage tree growth, to many updates or somthing along those lines. I still like it, i would probably deal with any problems that arise from this. It's not often that there is large patches of grass that needs to grow.
  2. make bushes.. unpickupable?

Ya thats what ive experienced, I become a master before anything else is leveled once. So to me it would bring up the question that, if ones ag skill gets maxed really quickly, would it have a noticeable restriction on berry transplanting? If it doesnt maybe the ag skill should be tweaked or a different method, like seasonal restriction should be used.
  3. Smoke racks

To smoke the meat you beed to have a light fire pit under the meat. I dont know the exact amount of time it needs to be there but i refill the pit with wood once to make sure its done.
  4. make bushes.. unpickupable?

I too like the third option, on a side note how do you guys feel about the agriculture skill, does it seems like it increases really fast in comparison to the other skills, or is that just me. If the bushes thing is linked to the ag skill then it might have to change.
  5. Reason to go digging and spelunking?

I've started to avoid caves like the plague, full of mobs and if you break any block its probably going to cave in. I havent done that much mining but i would imagine its a good way to get different rock types.
  6. make bushes.. unpickupable?

Using shears to harvest seems way to restrictive and its not believable. Season dependent placing however does sound good, much better than season dependent removal. But I think only one restriction, whether it be a skill requirement or a season requirement, is necissary.
  7. make bushes.. unpickupable?

Time specific transplants sounds interesting, but from what I've seen is seems like the devs don't want bushes to be reproducible.
  8. Crop Nutrient Types

Yes, Yes this is good, i realy like how the skill system can be used this way.
  9. The search for Gneiss!!

On a side note can cave ins be triggered by removing support beams, my intuition says no but it would be nice to confirm.
  10. Torch Improvements

Not bad, 1. Its not really hurting anyone so its not a big deal to me. 2. Yes and Yes 3. That would be ok, although I could imagine the torch would be to burnt to get a full stick back, then again what are you relighting. 4, Balance wise its seems alright but I'm not sure if its worth doing. 5, that just seems to much. if you had a full inventory and your torches turned they would be popping out of you and if you didnt notice you would run out of torches.
  11. How do you catch a fish?

I find that if i cast out over 5 blocks i can never bring the fish in but if its less than that you can just spam right click and you can bring it in easy.
  12. How about that gypsum?

I would like to see it used as some type of plaster block or a way to stretch materials if your running low. Its uses are surprisingly varied so I would also be ok with it having multiple uses.
  13. Crop Nutrient Types

At first I though why bother just check the wiki, but the point that everything else has their own tool tip changed my mind. I'm lucky in the fact I live where there is winter so by the time i am able to plant, the nutrients are back to full.
  14. Spawning in boring terrain.

Oh wow. Ya those are beautiful. Which map is this btw?
  15. Woven Clothes

For early game i would expect that you could just cover your self with any raw hide, the larger the warmer, same with sheep skin
  16. Spawning in boring terrain.

Well there is no real benefit for rivers other than making a nice landscape, and for me its just a preference. Its just seems weird to me that they seem to be so rare, at least from my experience.
  17. Spawning in boring terrain.

Lucky, its fairly big and close to your house. Mine are small and over 1km away.
  18. The search for Gneiss!!

Agreed, it use to be like that, maybe still is but there are lots of changes to cave ins
  19. Surgar cane growth in the cold

You would be looking for reeds then. Reeds and sugar cane are different things now and you only get paper from reeds. Now finding reeds is the next problem, i still havent and had to cheat in for a little progress.
  20. make bushes.. unpickupable?

More brainstorming on collecting the bushes. What if you had to dig up the block beneath the bush to collect it, but required the skill level to place it. By that way you wouldn't need to keep track of where you found the bush and have to go back when you get your skill up, you could just keep it in a chest till then (yes magic bush living in a chest for a year but you can do that now). It would also be advantageous to leave nearby bushes because you could harvest them while your skill is low, providing the foraging GreenLeaf is looking for. While I am saddened by the imminent nerfing of fruit trees I can see where your coming from, I would also not be all that upset if it were changed to once a year.
  21. Grain storage

Upon researching the decay rate of grain I found it was the same as vegetables(old wiki info), I though it was one of the slowest. Unfortunately I know of none, other than storing it in vessels in a chest and trimming decay a few times a season. I await the day we can seal grain in barrels to reduce decay, this would be akin to bins.
  22. Spawning in boring terrain.

Ive found two small rivers in my world, its not a big world maybe 3k x 5k but there should be more rivers, Ive come across 10 lakes or so and what is a lake with out a connecting river, sad, just sad.
  23. Cave rewrite or cave-in mechanic nerf

Agreed, but until then ill keep my changed config setting.
  24. Support beams

If that were to happen I would want it to be a mode on a tool like the hoe with nutrients, Maybe on the propick and its unlocked at a certain skill level. I think if it were just by shifting it would happen unintentionally a lot and get annoying.
  25. The search for Gneiss!!

Hypothetically if you were digging down in a 2x1 hole and you were above a cave, couldn't that cause a cave in and your 2x1 hole to go with it? Not saying this is a bad method, its minecraft 101, but its still a possibility.
