      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Some observations of how people play

    A stews seem great to me, I was expecting them instead of salads actually. You can just chuck a whole bunch of random ingredients together and you'll be eating for a month.
  2. It doesn't, its suppose to goes down by a certain amount if you miss feeding. I don't know the exact numbers but it dunk made it sound like you could miss two days or so and the next time you fed them it would be back up to the level when you stopped. There is also a point when they get familiar enough where it wont decrease anymore.

    Most fixes that i can think of for this sound hard or undesirable, changing the mob AI or the fence width. I think the most usefull change would be making pasive animals (or just tame) try to get away from wolves. This should keep them away from the side of the fence the wolves are on. Unfortunately thats probably the hardest thing to do. I dont know how hard changing the mob AI is in mods

    This is what ive done and it does look good, but untill you get a saw you might as well have a log roof. Unfortunately thatch is kind of useless except for straw storage.

    The only reason i can see for this is that you could put the mold in a chest. If you can do this with other metals i would see that as the bug, even if it does make sense.

    They are not solid, at least i think so. i could walk through mine as well. As for getting armor off all i could tell you to do is right click with an open hand. That was in .9 though havent tryed .10 yet.

  9. Food don't matter

    I also feel that they will try to rebalance how food worked in .79.0 and reimplement it back in making the skills more important again. Cooking was alot more interesting and important in .79.0.
  10. Vary casting quantities

    I'm not sure if breaking things in to half ingots is worth it, I would like to get multiple tools out of one ingot for small things like chisels or javelins though. and i wouldn't mind if clay molds for maces and swords took 200 units making it the same as a double ingot.

    I just tried this again with a new saw and now i cant reproduce it, also the saw I had before has disappeared so it was probably the saw all along. Anyway I guess this can be closed now. but would you still like to know about these small insignificant bugs?

    It wont stack in the inventory, What happens is I end up with multiple stacks of 8 lumber that don't want to merge, but if i shift click the lumber out of the crafting window there is no problem(this is from logs to lumber). Its an odd bug to reproduce Ive done it by manual removing one new stack of lumber from the crafting grid and shift clicking the rest out. I do realize this is probably not worth fixing, for future reference do you still want to know about small bugs like this, even if you don't have any plans to fix them or should I just not bother bringing them up.

    Ok... so bringing this topic back from the edge, will pheasants become more like chickens in a future update with the breeding and egg laying? or will they remain basically the same.
  17. I wish could die of thirst

    I personally find the slowness to be enough of a problem that I keep my thirst up, but I do think there should be more of a penalty for not drinking. After a day or two of no water you could start taking damage or have your max health drastically reduced. I would also like to see passive debuffs for starving too, like if your food is low you get mining fatigue.
  18. Rename Items

    It seems to me a simple way to rename a tool would be to place it in you crafting grid with a named name tag, no need for new blocks or a new interface. It would work out to literal be a tool with a name tag.
  19. [Solved] Animal gestation times with a changed year length?

    Pretty sure they are based on the months. so it would be #1 ex. -default, a month is 10 days (random number don't worry) so if gestation is 9 months it would take 90 days to give birth. -2x default, a month is 20 days, 9 month gestation would work out to be 180 days. This is how I understand it at least.
  20. Too much vegetation?

    Tweaking the agriculture skill to be more like butchering might help. I would say the benefit of a farm is you don't have to walk around and if your on muitiplayer wild crops wont be able to support everybody. I would support a change where wild crops only respawn if there is left over crops the year before, if you take them all away what is left to grow, nothing. Not sure if it would be worth making that change though.

  23. Yet more problems with animals

    I know this subject has been talked about before but I seem to have another problem now. Ive gotten my sheep up to shearing level but Im now not able to feed them anymore, including for breeding. this has only happened with animals which I am trying to tame. Wild animals will I'll answer the obvious questions now. yes, I am shift right clicking and its been a few days since I last tryed to feed them. Currently my only though is that the animals are fully tamed and will take no more grain. Although if that is true why can I not breed them? Your assistance is welcome.

    Maybe, this is a .79.0 world, although if is was i would expect more people to have this problem too, right now it seems quite isolated.

    I'm pretty sure those mud bricks are just place holders for a future update, i would imagine they would be used as a low tier building block for before wooden houses.
