      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    I think the thread this was being discussed in was the environmental damage thread (or something like that - I can't recall off the top of my head).

    If I remember correctly, the seasons are proportionate to the length of the day-night cycle.

    Elephant should be a great ivory and bone source. A lion... I'd wanna start a zoo (or tame it lol). Fox would be a good predator for cows and chickens (like the wolf).

    Lol grats on fixing it. I don't think you'll see compatibility unless you talk to the MLP maker. I know for a fact this mod as a LOT planned so IDs are going to be a rare commodity as it progresses.

    The textures are not a texture pack. They get installed with the mod as if it was part of it. They are only separate for the ease of uploading the updates I think.

    To be fair, I don't really find it necessary to do the "like" post thing since from what I've noticed, just +1's the person's karma or what ever gauge that is and not the idea/thread/post in particular... I think... lol I haven't used it but once I think.

    I honestly can't think of what caused that issue other than that you're trying to load up the TFC textures as a texture pack (they are not a texture pack and it needs to go into the jar). I just did a fresh install of the most recent version and I'm not having any issues with the textures.

    Biomes in the nether sounds like a VERY interesting idea. As it stands now, nether isn't on the slate for modding but I would love to see a reason to go to the nether. I have a few ideas myself but I'm going to just keep them to myself until Bioxx decides whether or not he's going to do the nether. But back to the idea, biomes: some areas could be the vanilla maroon colored dirt and soul sand. What about a biome that has a more ethereal feel/appearance where the dirt is more of an off-teal or cyan color, maybe weird floating jellyfish mobs (built off the ghast mob). Dunno about blood oranges, those are real fruit that heh (in fact, they were selling them at the grocery store the other day).
  13. Tree Climbing Boots

    1) It doesn't HAVE to go there since this is its own idea. This thread is fine. 2) I personally just make ladders with the sticks I've already gotten (since I'll be using the ladders anyway) and climb the tree like that.. 3) This is a good idea anyway since I don't always want to carry ladders with me. Special belts are also used. Different cultures have scaled trees in different ways.

    You don't butcher plants heh. But the idea of chopping open cacti for water is a good idea.

    Yes, burning them among other things (all those extra stacks of seeds). Just a way to dispose of them. In vanilla I would set up a lava pit and made it fancy using a piston to push items into it.

    I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but when updating TFC, you need to dl the textures again as well. Also, I'm not sure how changing the texture pack is affecting the base textures since a LOT of things have been changed with this mod.

  22. Arrow Heads: Stone and Beyond

    Exactly. No benefit except going from wood -> stone -> metal. Have all the metals essentially equal. I guess a heavier metal would do more damage than a light softer metal. I dunno. I have 2 re-curve bows at 45 and 75 lbs and a crossbow that feels like it's about 60 lbs. And the arrows don't seem to make THAT much of a difference (only the bow pull made an actual physical difference when I hit the targets). That's more like what I'm thinking.

    The year 1000 is just a number, it has no relevance to real life Earth year 1000.

    The year 1000 is not even relevant to Earth year 1000. It's a system number serving as a starting point.
