      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord ( is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. [0.2.4] TFC2 Prerelease

In Australia, my home country, there is the fabled drop bear. unlike the tree elk, you do not seem them until it is too late.
  2. Radioactive ore

Items that are linked to a industrial age most likely should be added in as an additional mod to TFC2. I would rather see just the core of TFC2 kept to an enjoyable minimum allowing not only authors and players to build on by adding mods they enjoy, and keeping the load for Biox down. It already seems to me that is probably how it is going to be done as Biox has already stated things like pams harvest will take the load so he doesnt have to re code every thing whenever there is an update.
  3. Ideas for Random Terrain Adjustments

A desert by definition does not necessarily mean rolling sand dunes, but i do like the image you have shown.
  4. Ideas for Random Terrain Adjustments

Part in point for me is that without some sort of striking feature i would most likely just strive for efficiency. Head to the most desirable climate as quickly as possible for growing food and as for the other island biomes would be like how i shop, get in get what i want and get out. Without anything that would inspire me to leave my markon the world and encourage me to explore i might as well play creative. I have not played MC or TFC for some time due partly to a lack of features that have peaked my interest. I have tried various mods that attempted to alter the landscape and such but nothing that really grabbed me. However the current status of TFC2 has seen me find the passion i lost long ago.
  5. Ideas for Random Terrain Adjustments

I also would love to see natural features such as arches and the like. What personally inspires me to build is the natural features of the surrounding terrain. To find such awe inspiring features that vary greatly from island to island makes exploration fun and to even restart a new game knowing there may be new features you have not seen before and the variation of island generation to enhance replay value. I read some one mentioning there are only 9 islands generating from north to south, if this is the case i would like to see small islets that could possibly generate along side the main island. These could be in the form of something as simple as a sand island or even a stack. So basically a large scale of variation to island generation from an island with gently sloping beachs to high sea cliffs, a mountain peak to a weather worn hill top. no one island would have to have all features of course. I have enjoyed the mechanics of TFC very much, but the missing element i always found was terrain generation. TFC2 is a vast improvement and i excitedly waitfor the other enjoyable features to make their way back.
  6. Climbing

In my opinion, it isn't all that difficult to "climb" the cliffs. Currently a brief exploration usually reveals a water fall or river that would allow access to the higher elevation, plus i haven't yet seen any instance of where there hasn't been a lower section of the cliff with trees that couldn't be easily be accessed. With further implementation of ore discovery similar to TFC you wouldn't be a beachcomber for long. Exploration is part of the fun and vines or a"shipwrecked" scenario where a chest with a few basic items, which is already an option for vanilla, is quite plausible.
  7. Ideas about food preservation.

that there is where i agree with you but forgot to mention it, the game mechanics in order to implement to make it work may not be feasible and more to the point "believable". however, there may be another approach for fruits that may not of been considered, alcohol. there is already brandy i believe, even though i am not sure of its uses ingame other than getting sloshed, so is there any reason why not to expand on that and add various wines and other beverages of alcoholic nature?
  8. Ideas about food preservation.

not quite correct, fruit preserves have been around for a long time. preserves have been traced back to the 16th century in europe and even further back in in other countries. so period wise it still fits inline with many other features of tc but as you said, its up to the developer.
