ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.
Any questions or comments can be directed to Claycorp on either platform.

Wow... That's some background history I did not think about. Guess things today just seem so easy compared to back then, huh? Ah well

Hello TerraFirmaCrafters! There are a-many ways to protect your precious food and such goodies, especially fruit, with it's ever-so-quickening decay rate. However, an extremely effective source of preservation, drying, doesn't seem to work with brined fruits. Is anyone else having a problem with this? Or was it never implemented? -iPotato

Gotcha. Ah well. Guess I'm stuck with some brined fruits for now lol. Though would it be hard to implement dried fruit?

Ah. Thanks. Does brining fruit still decrease the decay rate?

Amazing how a small game project brought so many people together, happily knapping and crafting with smiles on their faces. Thank you Admins for making such an amazing game. Kudos!! And three cheers for the future!!

Hello TerraFirmaCrafters! Playing on a server is extrememly fun, but it also lead to another bug in the game. Milk, seconds after obtaining from a faithful the cow, is auto-consumed and only kept in the inventory for about half the time, making cheese crafting incredibly tedious. Is anyone else having these problems, or is it just a server issue? Thanks -Ian
-
You don't need to sneak to feed an animal if it's familiarized. So shift-milking shoudln't be a problem
-
Thank you. I saw that there was a bug fix a while back (after build 78 was released) that mentions a similar event. Is this the same issue?
-
Alright it downloaded and is working fine. Thank you Kitty

Hello TerraFirmaCrafters! As I booted up Minecraft one normal afternoon, there was a new update for the launcher, promising a Java-free installation and a faster game. Could there be any issues with downloading said launcher with TFC installed? Thanks! -Ian

Ah. Well, correct me if I am wrong, Minecraft runs on Java 32-bit, right? I have Java-64 to help with processing. Maybe I'll just keep the one I have in case

Hmmm... The |, or vertical beams, seem to be too long if anything. If that doesn't work, I've got nothing
-
So you're making a straight line with the beams? You should be making more of a... x---x | | x---x ... structure when you cave
-
Support beams are used to prevent a cave in, but it doesn't mean it'll keep the blocks up 100% of the time. Are the support beams breaking as the cave comes down?

While zombies are no doubt the easiest mobs at this point, they have gotten far better senses in minecraft since just a few patches back. I mean, they're easy, but they also tend to come in far greater numbers than others. What would help zombies become real threats again would be a limited ability to climb, and/or increasing the rate at which they can break doors, and/or even other blocks. Though we're getting a bit off-topic now. Though of course, zombies could simply spread diseases in general, doesn't have to be zombification diseases! What if zombies afflicted you on a hit, and in addition any open water storage within a 1 block radius would be spoiled? Ah. Well... Spoiler Alert... The source of the illness or whatever isn't fully explained. We just know it spreads and creates zombies Well back to illness itself, wouldn't diseases from pets or plants carry on to other pets, animals, food, and, eventually, the Player?

Alright. Just thought the other was outdated. My apologies. And thanks c:

Think I found the biggest thing keeping this mod from really taking off
iPotato13 replied to Mark88fan's topic in Discussion
There's a certain satisfaction to making armor and getting the materials rather than shoving them into a crafting grid. TFC's little touch on things -
Now all we need is a gigantic spoon and a system to be able to stew gourmet soups

Cooking soup or stew in a water-filled ceramic vessel? Seems legit
