      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    forgive me if this is in the wrong place, i wasnt sure if i shoud put it here or in the Addons section. ok so i did a general search and turned up nothing. would anyone be able to make an addon to make TFC compatible with PneumaticCraft? the main thing that it seems to need fixing is some way to make the plastic plants generate besides the way the due by default in the mod since the nether and end are off limits. this cuts out purple, yellow and red plastic which is needed for some of the more useful crafts. if i had any skill or knowledge in coding i would do it myself. thanks for taking time to read this and any feedback or comments are welcome.

    So i wasnt sure where to put this, but here goes. Something that crossed my mind with the 1.8 rewite of TFC was if it would share the old forum and wiki sites or if it would use a new one. i guess it would all depend on the level of changes between versions as well as any additions, but i just wanted to see if the makers had and thoughts on the matter.

    all in all touching on the heating bit, you could always add Enviromine to your mod list in addition to TFC. that might add the temp based stuff you are looking for to justify the construction of a home. granted it is a bit odd in vanilla, and im not sure how well it wuld work with TFC, but it is an idea.

    yeah i had since learned this. lol i have also replaced my Rei's minimap as well with the journey map.
  9. Mods that Compliment TerraFirmaCraft

    Here is a list of all the mods i use for my TFC ssp games to make it as realistic as i can and to also add more things to do: ~ Advanced Genetics (for something to do alongside TFC that makes you feel like your tech is evolving naturally) ~Archimedes Ships ~Better Foliage ~BiblioCraft (put this in your scripts folder Bibliocraft-TFC_recipes_v1.0.zipto make it compatible with TFC woods) ~ Carpenter Blocks ~ Craft Guide (this i feel is a necessity type mod) ~Craft Heraldry ~ FastCraft ~Gliby's Voice Chat (you can chat using mic's and stuff, and can only hear them if you are within 50 blocks) ~ GLSL Shaders (i used SEUS) ~ Journey Map ~Leather Water Sac ~ Mine Tweaker 3 ~ Mo' Bends (no core mod or api's needed with this) ~ Not Enough Items (recipe mode is used in conjunction with craft guide to be able to see almost every possiple crafting recipe) ~ Optifine ~ ProjectRed (for my love of redstone builds. ) ~ Railcraft (makes excellent use of the lead obtained from galena) ~ Sim-U-Kraft Reloaded (so there are other "people" to interact with in my growing towns. ) ~ Decorations TFC Addon ~ Merchants TFC Addon ~ Weather 2 ~ Wireless Redstone - Chickenbones Edition yes i know this is a bit much, but i get bored easily on ssp. lol. the main reason i lag so much with these is the better foliage, weather 2, mo' bends, and shaders mods. and the reason for THAT is my pc was designed for win xp and it has win 7 as well as it is rocking a single core cpu with only 2 GB of ram. lol. it is more or less a giant paperweight. lol (oh and it might be prudent to point out that sim-u-kraft reloaded uses vanilla blocks for the builds the sim make as well as for the special mod specific items. so either use a mod that bridges that gap or tweak your configs a bit to use the vanilla stone recipes at the least.)

    i do still have one question. i used the "/dynmap fullrender" command, but only 2 chunks have show up. and i know for fact that i have traveled well over 500 blocks from my home befroe. do i need to retravel them for them to load?

  12. for those of you looking for magic implimentation, try looking at this:http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2177088-alchemy-craft-2 AlchemyCraft 2 adds simple yet effective magic items into the game, without maikng anything too op. though you would have to make the seed gen compatible with TFC as the mana seeds come from breaking grass. like vanilla seeds for wheat. the most op thing i can think of for it is it's end game stuff and the fact that it make getting diamonds easier. though you still need a stack of 64 sand to eventually get there.

    I personally like the idea of having and alternate plane of existence to travel to. if you look at Dungeons & Dragons (before 4th edition killed it) there was this large, wondrous and dangerous world you lived in and explored. you knew of the higher and lower planes, but it was a rare treat indeed if you ever journeyed there and your stay was NOT for long. i absolutely loved the nether in vanilla just for this reason (the end was severely lacking hence i got the Hardcore Ender Expansion mod) though i felt that the way the game progressed, the ender portal/ stronghold should have resided in the nether, kinda like how TFC has its progressional metalcrafts. if TFC had a system similar to this i would gladly toil and die an innumerable number of time just to get there. lol
  14. More Acheivements.

    I think that there should be a detailed achievement tree for each tool (time to mine, time to farm, time to stirke, ect.) from stone to the highest level possible, whatever that may be. i also thing that the tech level should extend to near or past the modern era (maybe give redstone its old uses or make a new ore that makes up for the slack) possibly even going so far as to making alternate inorganic forms of commuting places like multi-block planes, cars, and boats similar to how the Archimedes Mod works. a possible and tech could be the beginnings of stellar vessels or even mechas. i know this will probably never get to the that level of extensiveness. lol, but the idea remains the same. the current achevement list is a bit lacking and kinds out of place in something that has such a vast difference from the mainstream.
