ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -

TFC 1 is this, TFC 2 was going to be a total rework of what we had, made from the ground up to optimize it, but TFC 1 had enough potential to merge the 2 ideas and put a total rework on ice (indefinitely) there is no TFC 3, although we are entering the 3rd stage of TFC's beta.

well, craziness aside, i agree your idea is worth merit, but only on things that'd actually hurt you: trying to grab leaves shouldnt damage you, but trying to BREAK a square feet of cobblestone should (although grabbing it wouldnt, how would you account for that?)

if you get your brackets lined up perfectly, the durability improves (try forging something deliberately wrong, and something where you try, you'll see the difference, however to achieve this proper line-up, you need skill )
