      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. [Breaks Rule #1]Slow cooking

well I came up with the idea after killing quite a few deer, and then by the time I got back home and cooked the meat piece by piece it was getting dark. I thought it would be a nice multitasking tool, paying more resources to have the job done autonomously over time. I didn't know there was a grill honestly. I keep starting single player games over, I love the discovery.
  2. I have no idea how difficult this would be to implement. But since I learned the game is dead set on being multiplayer and has no love for singleplayer I thought this sounded like a challenging scenario. I have scanned, I did not see this idea. If it has been posted I apologize. This is all one idea with multiple parts to express the heart of the main concept. The idea is to have another survival mode that is based on teamwork and cooperation. To start, all animals are harder to kill, all resources take longer to collect, and wolves and bears spawn more and clustered (as if in packs or family groups) and are permanently aggressive. When new players join a server, the difficulty is multiplied and the protection spill over goes away. Realistically you have to work as a team to take down animals, defense is very important early on and its a bad idea to go far from camp alone.
  3. Tried this before and wasn't on top of fixing my post. I have skimmed, I haven't seen this idea posted. I apologize if it was. Using seaweed to wrap meat, fire seaweed covered meat in a clay firing pit, cover with dirt (like coal pit), same amount of time as clay firing, buried meat is now medium rare. I don't remember the name of this process and can't find it specifically but I believe hawaiians slow cook this way. It takes more materials to do, with better rewards. No risk of over cooking the meat into oblivion when you are not looking. Its a simple passive cooking idea. I did add that perhaps carnivorous animals could be attracted to this meat and become hostile, if it seems like it needs a balancing mechanic. Please don't read that as more than one suggestion. -.-
  4. I have quite a few ideas, but I will start with these and see how they take. They are different but related, and I haven't seen them specifically listed. If they are, I apologize. 1. Experience increases how long you can hold your breath. Seems the most logical way to make the next suggestion possible. 2. Introduce clams to seawater biomes. Quick food, better than seaweed, harder to get. Harvest with a knife. Higher xp means you can harvest more without drowning. 3. Wrap meat in seaweed, place in clayfiring pit and cover, instant slow cooker. Perhaps you can limit the size of the cut to be cooked, but it seems logical to cook a large amount of meat without babysitting by using this method. That way your time can be better distributed early on. You can come back to food after a hard days work, instead of scrambling to keep yourself fed. I imagine this sounds painfully like the smoking or drying system, but I only intend for it cook the food, not preserve. *. Have bears attracted to exposed food. For poops and laughs...
