      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    This Mod
    The FTB mod pack
    Coconut Macaroons
  1. Username: MadDoctor5813 Age: 13 Location: Ontario Why do you like to play TFC: I got bored of vanilla early on, and TFC adds some complexity without being the multiple machine craziness that is FTB, though I enjoy that too. Why do you want to join: I've had an on-off relationship with TFC, and this is approximately my 9,435th time I've come back to it. The mod is better balanced for multiplayer, and it sounds like a good server. What will you add to the server: I'm not sure really, as this often hinges on my starting situation, but I've always wanted to build a large castle of evil. I'm sure it will look great with some kind of really dark stone. Also, I hope to interact more with other players, as I used to just sit alone, which totally defeats the purpose of a server. I'll probably also chat a lot with people. I remember yelling BURN BURN BURN while making a pit kiln.
  2. I'm getting the same problem as dgbowers above me. Is there a link I can find for 1.4.2, which is the version FML says I need to have.
  3. Crash on Startup on Mac [Error Report Included]

Did you unpack the zip into the mods folder or did you just drag and drop the downloaded file? That's really the only cause of that error I can find. Also, try downgrading your Java to 6 or somesuch version. I've heard the latest version causes problems on Macs. Here's a post I found:http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/88110/make-minecraft-or-java-preferences-app-run-on-java-7
  4. Optimization Help

I have already done those things. It's probably because my integrated graphics card is on a Pentium Dual-Core. On the bright side, I'm sure I can fit the Cray Titan in a truck.
  5. [0.79.15] Rhodance's "HugBox" Server [Closing May 22]

IGN: MadDoctor5813 After the new changes in Beta 77, I decided to get back into TFC, but don't have the performance to play single-player. So i joined some open servers, had some... incidents happen, and remembered why I didn't like to play on those in the first place. Your server has lots of people, and seems like a good community.
  6. Optimization Help

Ok, so I guess I can steal a supercomputer from the DOE, and find a fusion reactor so I can plug it in at my house.
  7. [Offline] Survival TFC: AssHat Server

I can't seem to get on, has the IP changed or something?
  8. Can I install optifine with this mod?

It is possible, and I think there's a thread in the support section detailing how. Here it is:http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/4441-having-trouble-installing-optifine/.
  9. Optimization Help

So I guess I wait until I turn 18, get a job and save for a good computer?
  10. Optimization Help

I recently installed TerraFirmaCraft after learning of the changes in Beta 77 and decided to try it out. I was greeted with an FPS of approximately 0. My computer is not a gaming computer, as it is a stock Inspiron 1525 from the age of yore. I know I should upgrade it, but that is simply not possible for me. I have installed Optifine (after some struggle), played with memory allocations, and to no avail. Is there anything else I can do? I would have concluded that I simply could not play this mod, but I have played modpacks with 135 mods installed, and that still runs admirably well. I assume it's a factor of the many, many changes to vanilla TFC provides. I really do want to play this mod, and I could back in the days of Beta 40-ish. But, as the beta numbers grew higher, the FPS seemed to get lower. Is there anything I'm missing that could help?
  11. [TFC 0.77] Installation issues

The first part of the error mentions an id conflict with fruit leaves and the block that occupies id slot number 173. Do you have any other mods installed? Id 173 is, to the best of my knowledge, unallocated in vanilla. Never mind, ID 173 is the block of coal. Try going into TFCOptions.cfg or somesuch file and change the block id settings for Fruit Leaves to something else. I think Forge includes a fix that allows you to use IDs up to 4096 for blocks.
  12. Launching reverts to stock Minecraft

If you don't mind could you describe your system? Because ever since the first occurrence, I've had to do the same delete OpenAL32.dll thing for every installation of Minecraft, modded or unmodded. If we find what's common to our systems, we could perhaps find what's causing the error.
  13. Launching reverts to stock Minecraft

Try this: Go to here: http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/oalinst.zip Download the file and run it. Then, go to AppData/Roaming/tfcraft/minecraft/bin/natives, find OpenAL32.dll and delete it. What appears to have happened is some kind of error with the OpenAL32.dll which is the sound file. When you install the file and delete the Minecraft one, it defaults to the system one you just installed, which should fix it. This error, by the way, also applies to vanilla and FTB, so it's not TFC's fault.
  14. Terrafirmabeast

Feel free to ignore this post and continue your discussion of mod pack legal issues, but is there any news on the FTB front? That was what the thread was started for, and I don't think there's been an answer before Honkfish jumped in and kind of changed the topic.
  15. Crash on loading world

I installed TFC yesterday, and after some issues with the the fact that I installed it on 1.4.7 instead of 1.4.6, it worked fine, and I played for a bit. I came back today, loaded the instance (I use MultiMC) and it crashed. MultiMc gave me a crash report: http://paste.ubuntu.com/5602419/ The first time I played I had no issues save for some kind of issue where the GUI would go crazy and flicker on and off in random places, which was fixed with a restart. I have TFC and it's prerequisites installed, along with NEI, Smart Moving, and Rei's Minimap. From looking at the crash report, it says that there is a null pointer exception at the cave decor generation code, but I have no idea what that means. Hopefully, someone could help. Also, my order of installation was Forge, PlayerAPI, then optifine. EDIT: I restarted a number of times, replaced Forge 489 with 486 (apparently I have a number inversion issue), which did nothing. EDIT AGAIN: Turns out, the bug was that I used 489 to create the world, and 486 to load it. A pure 486 world works fine.
