      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Improving Survival Exp, Tried and Failed

Ok not sure on how to title this, as I believe the first paragraph explains things. I have done some quick searches on keywords to see if there are other topics like you suggested, and made edits. While I decided to keep a very small few with my thoughts. While I am sure some suggestions, they have been talked about, from what I have read over, I feel I have a different outlook on it. The goal of the post, or at least what I was hoping to do, was explain what I have tried to mod into the game, either it worked or it failed, with a list of some suggestions that I thought would help improve the game. I know mods like Tinker's, I only really would to see drying racks, but then that means 99% of the rest of the mod I don't really care to have. Hopefully, these edits are more suitable to the rules.
  2. Improving Survival Exp, Tried and Failed

Thanks for letting me know. I do not see a way to change the post topic title. As for the rest, my goal, which maybe I didn't do so well with pour wording, was to show what I have modded into the game and manage to work, while explaining other things that I wanted ingame. I cannot remember a lot of the different mods that I tried but wouldn't work. Not sure if you want me to make a new post for each suggestion./thoughts, and considering there are 30 post per page and over 68 pages, thats a little over 2,000 post that I would have to go thru. That's a lot!
  3. Hello, Before I give my suggestions, I just want to say that I've been really looking to mod MC into a more survival based game that I really could enjoy. TFC is the closest that I have found to what I would like to play MC like. So good job! I spent the better part of all day yesterday with a modder friend tring to mod/add mods to TFC to fill in some of the blanks that I would like to have. Using TFC as the foundation for the modpack. While I was able to get some things to work via other mods, or at least I believe they are working as I have not gotten to the stage(s) in the game where I can make the items, here is my suggestions/thoughts. I hope maybe they can inspire future addons, mods, or new additions to the game. Mine and Blade Battlegear 2 - I really enjoy the spear and shields in the mod, and I like the fact that there are hotbars on the screen, by pressing R you can switch between your battlegear and your survival gear. So you could have a spear and shield on your back. You could also have bow and arrows, etc. Basically 3 sets of gear on you.Camping mod - I like basically the campfire object, and wish that I could use it in place of the TFC campfire. I have also installed the following mods: Paint everything (so late game you can paint your house)carpenter's blocksdense oresagricraftJabbaCrossbow mod things I really wish was ingame/modded. Drying racks - to make dryed meats/jerkySieves/Shifters - take gravel, dirt, sand, the blocks that build up that really no use to very little use and go block by block and hope you find something useful like seeds, mayeb saplings, flint, small stones, nuggets, etc.Tried to add more mobs to the game, such as rabbits, foxes, beavers, raccoons, crabs, turkeys, boars. With fireflies and butterflys for just atmosphere/looks. See below for my detail/thoughts.Early game bow, with the ability to make a slightly better one later and a crossbow. For balance, maybe the crossbow travels a bit further, hits a little harder, but takes time to reload. That's my thoughts. Crossbow would be later game not early game.Would really like to see a clay furance, instead of the place these on ground and add this into put. Can't remember what it's called. Kirn?I have always liked ultima online's smelting system. You mine ores, but when you smelt it, some of the material is lost dued to skill and other materials in it. Once you have enough ore, you use it in a furance with a mold (this part isn't UO), to make an ignot.Beds - different beds you can make, starting with a basic straw on the ground, to hides, to a normal bed. Sleeping helps regenerate health was my thoughts. With each bed offering different healing, like the basic bed would only heal 10% of lost hit points, where maybe the best would heal 75%.Bandages - taking a knife and a piece of cloth, allows you to make bandages, which when used would create a health regeneration on your character to help gain hit points back. Washing bloody bandages would allow you to recycle, but there is always a chance it's not reuseable. Maybe add in new plants to make creams to slightly increase the regen effect.I have wanted a good suvival base mod for minecraft where the prime forces against you is environment, wildlife, and yourself. Zombies, skeletons, etc are still there just maybe not as much. Nighttime is dark, and until your prepared, shelter is advised. Nighttime, wolves and bears are your prime enemies. Wild boars during the day are passive, but become aggressive when attacked, at night they are aggressive if you get close. Foxes, like to go after your chickens/small animals, but generally doesn't pose much of a threat to you. Generally I want a mod that avoids too much machine and advance stuff. Going from basic stone age, into a slightly medieval type age. I am in no way a modder, and have very little knowledge about that. Anyways, that's my thoughts, hopefully it inspires others.
