ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.
Any questions or comments can be directed to Claycorp on either platform.

Oops, I'm still thinking Bioxx reads every post on the forum
if (nbt.getInteger("decayTimer") < TFC_Time.getTotalHours())..nbt.setInteger("decayTimer", nbt.getInteger("decayTimer") + 1);nbt.setFloat("foodDecay", decay);
edit for clarification: The decay rate is already scaled based on the year length setting in the config file. I was unaware of this until I looked at the github.

Can you scale decay based on year length? That would be helpful.

Hmm... don't confuse "popular youtubers" with people who are actually pro at vanilla, like panda4994. Docm77 and etho might be closest to both.

One thing to try is a local server. Have a dual core or better, 4 gig or better but crappy integrated graphics? Run a dedicated local server and install OptiFine on your client.

So this is where you guys are:)
For those new to KSP here's a proper intro
(note: this guy uses mods to great cinematic effect)

Cheers guys, docking planes is easy mode. Have you tried it? You instantly grasp which way you need to move and the controls do exactly what you expect. On a featureless spacecraft I'm groping for orientation and taking 3-5x as long to dock if not more. Unity's fov weirdness for some aspect ratios doesn't help.
Woooow there are some people (me included) that would be happy if you teach us in the IRC how to do such things !!!!
Nice, very nice. Also there is an user in the IRC called Puma, and you can help him doing his spatial station, and maybe...help me too in my first munar landing
I'll try to stop in but no guarantees I don't get to hang out on irc much these days. http://www.youtube.com/user/ThePMilitaryCompany has some realy good tuts though.
I love me some KSP. Going to stream this weekend, maybe sooner, but I am not as good as you appear to be, nor have I used any mods except for the early NovaPunch pack.
Mechjeb is good for not having to go to the map to see apo/per. I haven't tried any modded parts but I'm thinking about getting the fairing pack and the shuttle bay doors.

Mildly surprised no TFC forumgoers are into KSP. I was starting to think 0.18 release was part of the reason dev slowed down a bit lately;)

i play on a lightly modded server and one thing is mud brick for those times you want to get agriculture up and/or do some limited building before doing much mining or metallurgy. that is, dirt + water bucket + reeds crafts into a block that when cooked is suitable for early structures. we also have basic rocks + sticks to get placeable cobble but that's another thing. all of this is relatively good but lacking that true tfcraft feel (and juicy textures)
so here's my thoughts, since i love multiblock structures like bloomeries and charcoal pits so much
a mud tank of wood consisting of 4x4 base, 1 or 2 high walls giving a 2x2 x1 or x2 area
add dirt, gravel, reeds/straw and mix, apply molds and allow to dry
stack bricks around wood piles (typically in the trench you dug to get dirt; see bull's trench kilns) light and cover the whole shebang
et voila, mud bricks

You can farm on dry grass, I have a farm/ranch in dry plains. I'd like to add that the sapling spread mechanic + dry areas = tree lined waterways after a while, which is basically awesome.

Minor B69 stuff
(green) peppers can't be crafted into seeds
plum and red apple trees never seem to be harvestable
food prep gui doesn't update stack qty until at least one meal is crafted
some plants (eg oats) growth cycle seem to ignore year length setting, most work properly though
barley not worrking for breeding, i seem to remember it working in 52e

The SMP bug is fixed in 69, i'm about to test the molds.

accidently clicked on the ground next to the leather rack. Also, I was able to duplicate some hides (2 soaked hide->4 soaked hide) with a barrel of tannin, but I haven't been able to reproduce it yet.
