      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Release Date? Soon?

I would gladly test play bare-bones early build. It would be nice to see what features have been implemented so far and get a sense of where things might be going. Plus, the feed back probably would be good motivation for Bioxxx. Hope to hear more soon!
  2. Hi, I posted here, because I noticed the texture loss only when using Udary. I tried several combinations of mods I typically use and narrowed it done to yours specifically. Not sure what other info I can give, other than that. If you can think of something I could check for you, let me know. -Sayreg
  3. I was looking at "Cooking with TFC" the other day and they mentioned they completely rewrote TFC food for the addon. So basically any food items added for vanilla TFC will not be compatible with CwTFC, as far as I understand it.
  4. Ah that makes sense, I hadn't looked at the change logs. Thanks for getting back to me
  5. Awesome, it works great now. Thanks for getting back to me so fast
  6. Hi, I really enjoy this mod. After I updated to TFC 0.79.29.922 there seemed to be a bug. Dirt blocks when dropped as an item or in the inventory all have the same texture/color. The dirt does not have the individual colors for each stone type. I am using Udary 0.2.31. Hopefully this can be looked into. Thanks, -Sayreg
  7. Hi, I just down loaded you addon and I really like it. Mushrooms appear to be bugged though. There is no recipe for combining or cutting them. I tried with all my mods installed and just with NEI, I had the same problem both times. Just wondering if you can look into that. Thanks, -Sayreg
  8. Hi, just updated to your latest version (0.13.0) and all the dyed candles seem to be missing from game. I tested with all my mods in, and with just Terra-Misc, and the dyed candles did not show in NEI. I was able to craft all the dyed tallows, but I couldn't put them into bowls or use them in any way. Not sure whats going on because it worked in the previous version. Hope to hear from you soon! -Sayreg
  9. [Closed] [0.79.28] FeudalFirmaCraft OPEN

It has been nearly two weeks, and without any word from our host it is safe to say that Feudal Firma Craft has closed. I want to take this moment to reflect on the server, our community, and all the great times we shared. For me this server was my best experience with Minecraft Mods and Multiplayer. The community here was always helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Experiencing this quality of player interaction made logging into the server an almost daily activity. I can happily say that all my time spent playing on this server was well worth it! While it is sad that our time on the server has come to end, so all things must end too. Lion ran this server without backing, or support. He created this space for us to play, grow, and have fun completely out of his own desire. Without Lion's actions none of this would have ever happened. I want to say a big thank you to Lion for his dedication, generosity, and sacrifice. Lion, the time we spent together on this server made me very happy, and I'm glad to have met you. So in closing: To all the friends and acquaintances I made here, best of luck, safe travels, and happy mining. To Lion, thank you once more for granting us so many happy times! Good Bye FeudalFirmaCraft! -Sayreg

The server seems to be back up and working fine. I'm glad to see it fixed! I hope everyone can come back and continue playing now.

Glad to hear, I hope he can fix the server.
  12. [Closed] [0.79.28] FeudalFirmaCraft OPEN

This is the second or third day that the server has crashed and stayed offline for an extended period. I messaged Lion about the issue, but he has not checked his forum messages yet. Hopefully he will be available soon to look into the cause of these problems, I was really looking forward to playing today.

I had the same problem last night, seems to be up and running now

Stone, I'm sorry to hear about your losses. The land tax rate has increased dramatically over the last month, by 500-1000%. So your town may have legitimately run out of cash. As to the mines, having looked dynmap, I think I see now that Arcadia came close to your territory during the hunt for Nickel. I'll question the people of our town to see if any may have mistakenly robbed you thinking it was truly an abandoned town. If you are interested playing again, you could join Arcadia. We would gladly work with you to speed your recovery by sharing resources. Once again, sorry to hear you are having so many troubles. Let me know if there is more I can do. -Sayre

Very happy the server is up again. Would you be able to change the language back on english? It is french. Also, the "server stopping" message is now missing. Thank for all your hard work Lion!

Simple: 1. Learn c++ and Java. 2. Make a TFC addon that lets you milk squid. 3. Make cheese. 4. Profit? I attached a pair of deer legs to replace my stolen ones. Being the only deer/human hybrid, the Queen of England wants to meet me. What should I say?

  20. More Accurate Tastes to TFC2 Foods

I totally see where you are coming from on this point and agree that certain ways are better. I don't feel the current taste system really discourages multiplayer experiences though. Look at it this way: as the main cook of the family, you know how to prepare food that is pleasing across all members of the family. But at the same time you know which members of the family simply do not like certain foods and can cook accordingly. Over all though, your family probably has very similar tastes. Now lets look at SMP for TFC1. A dedicated cook can prepare foods with advanced tool tips, which other players can see. By preparing meals for other players and asking for feed back on the tool tips values, the cook can then start to gauge the taste profile for the others on the server. Over time a multiplayer cook can and will be able to create meals which meet the preferences of all the people partaking. This is further reinforced by the fact that taste profile is derived partially from the world seed, something all player's share on a single server. I will admit that the current rewards for matching flavor profile are too small to make all the effort really worth it. Should some sort of sanity or well-fed buff be instated for TFC2, then players might be encouraged to have a dedicated chef in their settlement. Personally, I love to prepare different kinds of meal for the community members on our server when I can. Being the dedicated chef would be very fun in my mind.
  21. More Accurate Tastes to TFC2 Foods

Yes, foods are cooked a certain way to taste better, and this is in-fact represented in the game. Hickory gives a more favorable profile than say pine, or peat. Cooking foods to different temps gives different profiles as well. While under cooking some foods will not give much of a benefit. And since player taste is randomized, each person will have their own preferences. While some methods of preparing food may seem straight forward to you, persons of a completely different culture may find your way of cooking horrific. The randomized player taste gives a strong opportunity for depth/diversity in a minecraft system that is largely taken for granted. I read mention of sanity system. If sanity was added, eating perfectly flavored meals could become essential for good mental health. I actually really like this idea. Creates the situation where people who haven't eaten a proper meal in a while just don't feel themselves, or function well.

I was talking with Ricky and the server has a very solid about of memory. It is really up to the Devs to fix the tree crash issue, but I don't think it will be resolved until TFC2. In the meantime we can educate new community members, and have fun.
  23. Gems & gemology / lapidary skill

The potential for utter failure (because worthless inferior gems aren't bad enough) could be added to a system where only one slider was moving at a time. Perhaps once you start you must hit the mark before it reaches then end. Once you stop the slider the next one starts immediately. If at any point the slider reaches the end with out being stopped the gem is ruined and lost? This would actually make it harsher than current iteration of smithing in my opinion. Depending on what sort of NPC system is added to TFC2, gems as an ingame currency would be pretty cool. I have always enjoyed using ingame items as server currency, but many servers tend to use a currency plugin for player-player transactions. Alchemy, magic, NPCs. It is all pretty up in the air at the moment, but what ever form gems take in TFC2 I would really like to see it more fleshed out than TFC1. Communities where players specialize in specific roles are very fun. On the Feudalfirma server I play on we have done that to a small degree. A couple smiths, I'm a cook/butcher, a couple farmers. I haven't tried to convince anyone to switch to gems as a currency, but that thought has occurred. One way for the Devs to encourage role specialization, such as gemcutting would be to make each skill so in-depth that no one would have the time/effort to master them all. Somehow I don't see this happening on a two Dev minecraft mod. But like you say, its fun to think about.
