      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    Yeah some of us don't have the luxury to play games 12hours a day. That means SMP becomes dull too because everyone will progress much more . So the new fruits n stuff is a waste of time, before I've played 80hours Bioxx has changed the world gen 4 times (if you are reading this, thx for the latest ore change ^^ )

    I say something needs to be done about the duration of time in TFC. If I could have a private server just for me, yeey! But I don't, so every season takes 20 hours ingame time (that's if you sleep very night in the game). The new fruits n stuff? F them, I don't wanna spend time on something that takes me 80hours to harvest again (by then Bioxx releases 20 new updates)

    We all like the realistic side of TFC mate. But making it too realistic will just be meeh. As Bioxx self said, he is not adding realism if it becomes dull and boring. Like the new knapping, it's not that hard but adds little more realism. Knapping a stone tool IRL is way harder.

    Bioxx has limited by having fewer items per stack (in some items). I wouldnt mind dirt and stone not having 64 per stack. That is much easier way then a meter of weight.

  13. Seasons Remastered

    This idea came to me of course from A Song of Ice and Fire. But I imagine Bioxx wants something like this (considering his last post in news, read it!). Right now a year takes about 80 hours which IMO is way too long. But the NUMBERS in my suggestion are NOT FINAL, these things need to be tested. PS! I'm trying to balance everything down below, it's not quite finished so more balancing might be needed. First some ground for my suggestion: 1. No calender, if you want to know the season look at the trees and ground around you, how will you know how fast the seasons pass by? wait and see. (This is when the seasons are working like they should). All tho it would be cool to see the stars change depending on season and just before a season change, but I don't know if its do-able. 2. Randomness on duration of seasons Every time you begin a new world it might take 60 hours, or at shortest it might take 30 hours for a full year. You will also spawn on a random season. If you begin at long years it might slowly start to be shorter and shorter years, and opposite if you begin on shorter years. 3. Seasons effects (They will be tweaked so no season is too annoying, except winter, that should be annoying). Spring means - Snow starts disappearing. - Animals starts to spawn. - Birds sounds to sing (C'mon Bioxx we need them bird sfx's! ;D) - You can start making crops. Summer means -food rots, meaning you have to eat them soon after harvesting, so you cannot store a lot during summer. (meat turns into zombie meat, wheat maybe turns into seeds? or just disappears). - Even more animals spawn during summer. Autumn means - You can harvest them fruits! - Snow and ice start to appear at some biome. - Food stops rotting. Winter means - No harvest of any crops. - Saplings don't drop off trees. - Tree's are harder to break but also dirt/gravel is very hard (ask anyone who have tried to dig in winter). - You become more hungry. - Few animals wandering around. What you guys think? REMEMBER it is NOT complete. I know this is what Bioxx is kind of aiming for: "Seasons: The first thing that I’d like to discuss are the seasons in Terrafirmacraft. Seasons are very very important to the overall flow of the mod because of how they truly affect us IRL.Some of the changes that are already apparent are the shifting colors of the world as it gets colder, not to mention the potential for snow storms across the world, and the growth of trees. Seasons and more importantly temperatures will continue to be factored into different facets of the mod moving forward such as crop growth, animal hibernation, types of hostile mobs and more.     Really? I always saw him as Bear Grills ^^ But i like teh idea, players may use the ruins to foundation of their homes. Better yet if some types of ruins meant there is lots of ore to be found there ^^

    Glueing a tool that you are beating on stone? Hmmm... I can agree to leather straps tho. But let's skip the whole boiling part.
  20. improve prospectors pick

    Simple really, the pick tells you where the ore is NOT. So if you get large quantities on a place, mine west and east. Place torches where you find medium. Between those torches lays teh treasure! Then It's a matter of up or down. Sometimes you'll have to check north and south too. (you can do north/south first, I was just making a example) After a few times you'll master it. If you find two ores near each other? Get creative!

    As long as its not too much work, TFC is NOT a realistic simulator after all. You have to walk so far away from the home already to find ore.
  22. Is these things in seeds common!?

    I found a big layer of granite, after hours of trying to find casserite I ended up cheating (with no clip), found no casserite! but as I fly threw the world I stumble upon THIS! First I thought "Its The Wall from A Song of ice and Fire!", but then I saw it was shaped like.. well castle walls (look at the last picture) =/ Is this normal!? The overview Map Something tells me I have to do a kingdom within those weird walls

    Since getting rails carts and powered rails are bit hard in TFC (haven't even seen lava yet). And having to walk around the whole map searching for the right stone type to get the right tier ore we need a transportation, the horse! It's a stud to conquer (horses withOUT saddles don't f*** around) and a hungry companion (likes grass and cakes)! Just trying to figure out how to station him (without using fences). And how a snare would work ingame. Anyway we really need more transports.
