Okay, I've talked to Bioxx about the crashes and we've come to the conclusion that they are due to user error. Next time an updates comes out make sure to do a CLEAN INSTALL! This means that you need to delete your entire bin folder and config folder at the very least. For now I will simply continue to reset character files when someone causes a crash. After the next update I will start banning people if they cause the server to crash. I want it understood that this is not meant to be a punishment or some kind of vengeful action on my part. It is to protect the server from crashes. We have a lot of regular players on the server that are everything I could ask for in a community and I don't want to scare them away because of crashes that are most likely the cause of other people who don't know how to, or cannot be bothered to do a proper update. Thanks Joint. EDIT: It has come to my attention that there has been some theft happening on the server. I have been told by about 5 different people so far that they have had things stolen. I also have had some things stolen more recently. So I have decided to create a poll on whether we should switch to a white-list system. If it is decided that we use a white-list then all of the players that I feel have proven that they are trustworthy will be automatically added to the white-list. Everyone else will have to make an application.

I do not have an ipad or any other mobile device and probably never will. It has nothing to do with the internet OR my pc. Ever since Bioxx added finite liquid peoples char files have been getting corrupted really easy and when they log in the server crashes. The only thing I can do to remedy this is reset the character file. I have mentioned this on the IRC but have not gotten any kind of confirmation yet. Your character file is the one that crashed the server, I had to delete it. This means that you can now log in again without crashing the server but everything in your inventory will be gone and you will be at spawn. For this I am sorry but it's the only fix right now.

You live in a different province than me..... Also, it summer... you know, storm season. There have been 3 major storms. Those first 3 caused some kind of issue with my ISP, they have been actively trying to fix whatever happened (Or at least that's what they told me). Thanks Crysyn. This is a thread for talking about stuff that goes on in the server and for me to keep everyone updated on how things are going. In the future if anyone wants to dispute a ban, or even just grumble at me, please just send me a PM.

What is a town mod? afaik there are no such things. I believe that you think this is a bukkit server, it is not.

Server was down due to ANOTHER storm. I think Mother Nature is pissed this year. Must be that end of the world thing everyone is talking about :3. However, it's back up now and updated to pre39.

Also when you generate a world I'm pretty sure that affects the recipes. So a combination that works for one tool might not work for the same tool in a different world.

A little better. When you put the backpacks.zip in the mods folder are you putting the whole zip in? You are supposed to open that zip and put the backpacksClient.zip into the mods folder.

You didn't provide any info that would let someone help you. Did you install the mods and their prerequisites installed properly?

The only mods you need are TF Craft and Backpacks. Check to make sure you have pre38. You asked if you could join a town, they said no and you responded like an ass hole. Yes I'll reset your char file next time I restart the server. The server has been getting crashes from certain people logging in for unknown reasons. It is running though. Next time we need to do a world reset I'm going to pardon everyone who has been temp-banned for crashing the server and delete everyone's char file. Hopefully that will fix this issue.

For some reason, ever since Bioxx added finite water, some people cause the entire server to crash when they try to connect to the server. My birthday was yesterday and I'm only here for a short window today as well which is why it hasn't been getting fixed quicker. For now the only thing I can do is temporarily ban anyone who causes the server to crash and hope no other people log in to cause it. Once this is fixed I will pardon any bans issued for this reason. I will meantion this to Bioxx tomorrow or right now if I can reach him and hopefully he can offer a solution. Sorry for the inconvenience. Also: LOL

Sorry for the servers down time lately all. I have been having major internet connection problems since that last storm that came through here. The server is online now though.

Hey all the server is back up! Sorry about the down time, my internet was down for the better part of 2 days because of that last storm we had here. I will take this chance to remind some of you that I have already asked that the server thread NOT be used for ban appeals! If you feel like you were not banned for a good reason then send me a PM about it and we will discuss it. From now on I will completely ignore any ban appeals that are posted on this thread. The server went offline temporarily due to a power outage that lasted about 3 seconds. I was not at home when it happened so I couldn't do anything until now. However, the server is now back online!

Hello all! I don't know what caused the server to go offline, everything looked normal on my end. Except for the fact that it said you were all online and you clearly we not. I restarted it and updated it to the latest release (pre36).

Are you on the same version as the server? If you don't then update.

The server is temporarily being shut down due to massive instability. I will let you all know when it is back online. Hopefully pre34 will fix the issue.
