Ya I'm not even going to sugar coat it. If this was implemented I would just stop playing the mod. I also hate the sims and this is the reason why. I don't care if my char is happy because I am happy when I play this mod. Even thirst is taking it too far I think. i want to mine, build, smith, etc. Not take care of my char like its a one of those virtual pet key chains that poop on themselves until they die in it.

Okay everyone it's 7:51am, it's a new day, the internet is fixed AND pre17 is out!!! I'm going to work on updating the server right now so update you clients. The server should be up and running by 8:30 at the latest (I'm slow until I've had some coffee ).

This is bullshit and everyone who plays on my server knows it. I banned this guys because he thinks it's funny to throw defenseless animals out of 3rd story windows and I think he's an animal abusing sociopath. The server is currently down because my ISP is doing repairs on a node in my area that was damaged in the last lightning storm. The server is 24/7 when something isn't preventing it from working properly. My internet provider has send me an email to apologise for the inconvenience and to tell me that they will be done by tomorrow at the latest. @novemberman: Keep trolling the server thread and I will report you to the forum moderators. When I banned you I told you that I hoped you had a good life and that I just didn't want you on my server. However, you have made it abundantly clear that you are petty, rude, stupid, a liar and you are immature beyond any kind of joking nature. I no longer hope that you enjoy you life since you seem to be making it you're personal business to annoy me. You are the only one who should be looking for a new server. You got banned, get over it and stop being a tool or I promise to make you look like a complete asshat, which will be easy because you are, in fact, a complete asshat. Everyone else can just wait until tomorrow. The server will be back up in the morning (GMT). EDIT: I would like to add that the server itself is actually fine. The problem is that my internet cuts out every few minutes and no one would be able to play anyways. As soon as they finish the repairs I'll start her up again.

Hello all, I have been running a server for a while now with just a few players that I trust. I want to open my server to the public but since there are no mods that provide region or block protection (like world guard for bukkit) I am kind of nervous about doing this. My question is this: Is there any program that would allow me to have auto saves of my world so that I can have regular back points to rollback to in the case of a sever grief? I am running the server on my home PC and I am aware that renting a dedi would provide me with what I'm looking for but that is completely out of the question. I cannot afford to rent a server nor would I if I could. I prefer having everything here at home. So again, I'm looking for something that would allow me to have the servers map saved every 30 min or so. I already tried to run a wrapper called Simple Server. I have used this on a previous bukkit server that I ran and it did what I need right now. Unfortunately it is NOT compatible with forge mods which makes it useless for what I need right now. I just though i would mention that in case someone else thought of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! On a side note, does anyone else think that it's amazing that no one has made a region protection mod for vanilla servers? Seems to me like it's something that should be in high demand. Would it be really hard/impossible to make a worldguard type mod for vanilla SMP? Also, I do not know how to code so please no posts saying make one yourself.

It didn't work because texture pack first of all have nothing to do with Forge, and unless that texture packs author made it with the textures from TFC then of course it wont work. I'm working on a 32x32 pack specifically for this mod if you would like to try it you can. I'll put the link to the file at the bottom of this post. The pack is WIP and is not done but all of the stone, brick, cobble, smoothstone and ores are pretty much done. Texture File (this file just goes in the bioxx folder inside your minecraft.jar)

To be fair he is from Spain and doesn't have very good English. So that part is forgivable. On the other hand ban appeals DO NOT belong on this thread, so I'm going to ignore the heck out of that post.

Hello all I just started on my texture pack and got the granite to the point that I think I can show it to people. Please tell me what you think. These are the textures I have finished so far. I'll post some in-game shots when I get up in the morning. Right now though, I need some sleep.

Again..... Smooth stone is the stuff you chisel BEFORE you mine it and is for decoration only. STONE is used for anvils, not smooth stone.

you use cobblestone to make bricks. You do not need smooth stone to make bricks or stone, cobblestone. Why do people insist on providing bad info?

I use peat all the time. If I can find it I actually wont use wood as fuel. I can melt all of the starter ores with peat and I find that it burns for a long time compered to most wood.

There is actually nothing wrong with my alpha channel. I was talking to Bioxx and he said the issue I'm having has something to do with the coding. Sure enough I checked my textures in SSP and they are working fine. It's only in SMP that they are bugged. Same with the stock textures. This made me SOO much less frustrated. Nothing is worse than trying to fix something you think that you are doing wrong when you actually haven't and don't know it lol. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.

Ya i gets lots of both. Some flat some mountainous. You have to remember there are 130 different biomes. sometimes i get maps with almost no flat areas and sometimes I get maps with a mixture.

Well no. That's only partly correct. You should only chisel a stone before mining it if you want the smooth version of that stone, which is only used for building things, it's not useful for any recipes yet. Also, bricks are not made by combining stones they are made as a shapeless recipe by putting a chisel into the crafting grid with some cobblestone. You get one brick for one cobblestone. @Teranz: You should really make sure you know what you're talking about before you go telling people the WRONG way to do something. It's not hard, all you have to do is check the wiki or ask on the IRC. From now on make sure you're not giving people bad information.

Yes mining around a block gets you STONE. Chiseling a block before you mine it gets you SMOOTH STONE. Lets say we're talking about granite. The method of mining around it to make it fall off will get you granite. Chiseling it first then mining it will get you smooth granite. In TFC the smooth variety of stone is the kind that you chisel first. Its not like vanilla where the kind of stone that looks like the kind that you originally mined is called smooth stone, it's just the regular type that was there instead of cobble. My point is that a stone anvil is not made of smooth granite (or other stone), it's just made of granite. The smooth stone (chiseled before mining) is only for building right now and is not used in any recipes. I just wanted to clear this up because I think that people who are new to TFC might get confused if they read people saying that smooth stone is used in recipes when it is not. Trying to make an anvil or metalurgy table out of, lets say, smooth granite, will result in failure.

The title says WIP (work in progress). I will be adding pics as I go and getting peoples opinions. Honestly, I don't think people should create posts that aren't constructive, have nothing to do with the thread that they are in and have horrible grammar. Oh wait you've done that twice now. Once here and once in the announcements thread...... You should stop doing that.

The stone next to the ore IS granite and the ore should be on granite blocks but the texture under the ore is the wrong texture. Also, WTF is alpha channel you're the second person to mention that to me and I have no idea what that even means. I spoke to Bioxx about this and he said that it is an issue with the code. Moreover, this only seems to happen in SMP. When I checked the ores in my SSP world they were showing the proper stone in the transparent area of the ore texture.

Okay so I have finished all of the Stone, cobble, brick, and smooth stone and now im stuck on the ores. The transparency is COMPLETELY fucked and it's really starting to piss me off. Example: The image is a gif which is why you see pixels bugging out, the real issue is that its not layering over the granite next to it. Please someone help me this is driving me nuts. TY
