      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Hens doesn't lay eggs

Try placing another nest. Chickens only lay eggs once a day. Just to make sure, you are clicking the nest and looking at the inventory inside for the eggs, right? They do not drop them on the ground like in vanilla.
  2. Out of memory?

That crash report shows that you only have 1GB allocated to Minecraft, and that you are using 32-bit Java, which means you really can't allocate more than 1GB. If you have a 64-bit operating system, then you need to download and install 64-bit Java if you want to allocate more memory. By default, Java will always install just the 32-bit version. Edit: These are the parts of your crash report that had this information: # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (25.101-b13 mixed mode windows-x86 ) The x86 means 32-bit. JVM Flags: 3 total; -XX:HeapDumpPath=MojangTricksIntelDriversForPerformance_javaw.exe_minecraft.exe.heapdump -Xms512m -Xmx1024m The -Xmx1024m means you only have 1024MB allocated, which is the same as 1GB. Edit 2: Thevanilla Minecraft launcher comes bundled with its own version of 64-bit Java, which is why you are able to allocate more memory when using the vanilla launcher. However, those settings do not apply to Multi-MC. In fact, you have to set the memory allocation separately for every single instance of MultiMC and every single profile in the vanilla launcher. It is not a global setting.
  3. Trees Despawning

Go ahead and keep reporting minor bugs as long as you can't find existing reports in this forum. If there ever is a game breaking glitch that is found, I'll spend the weekend to fix all the little stuff that's been reported too.
  4. Trees Despawning

The trees despawning is intentional to get rid of floating trees that are a side-effect of world generation and collapsing blocks. The leaves staying behind is a bug, but not really worth making a whole new release to fix.
  5. B79 Food Preservation

No. The food item itself must be in the barrel slot to get the pickling modifier.
  6. Chunk tag questions

crop infestation is an artifact of something that was never finished, it does nothing. lastSpringGen is a timestamp for the last time crops were generated in that chunk, it makes sure the crops only generate once per year instead of every time the chunk is loaded. Did you happen to edit the config file to change the year length? If you did, that timestamp is probably a date in the future from the old config setting, which is why you aren't seeing crops. Also, wild crops generate in the spring and die of old age. If you are going back to these chunks later in the year it's possible the game calculated them generating and then growing all the way to death which is why they aren't spawning.
  7. crash attempting support beam placement

Considering that the 79.24 change log explicitly states "Fixed crash with odd support beam placement." I'm guessing you won't be able to get an updated crash report because you won't be able to reproduce it anymore.
  8. crash attempting support beam placement

The crash report shows that you are using([1.7.10]TerraFirmaCraft-0.79.23.808.jar) and not 0.79.29.922 like you've claimed when submitting this report.
  9. Pregenerating chunks resettting time issue

You can use /debugmode to enable debug mode which will enable you to set the time before the current time using /time set 0. Just make sure to use the command again when you are done to disable it as debug mode changes a bunch of the game mechanics.
  10. Issues

Ignoring what wawla said, does it look like the bloomery is actually taking the items? Or do they just float there? Did you remember to place 8 charcoal first? The bloomery won't accept ore until it has a full charcoal block placed inside.
  11. 0.79.29 Bugfix

If you downloaded 0.79.29 prior to this post, please re-download it. The file has been updated to have some fixes regarding crop harvesting and lighting pit kilns with a firestarter. It is important to note that the version number on the file has not been changed, and is still 0.79.29.922

  13. [SOLVED] Nothing from crops!

Where did you get your copy of the mod? If you didn't download the official copy from this website you are probably using the old bugged version where crops drop nothing.
  14. Game crashed when joined a world

I'm guessing you've also played a version of Minecraft that's newer than 1.7.10 as well. If you had read the list of known bugs stickied at the top of this forum you would know that your render distance is too high.
  15. I'm guessing you don't know that there's already a config file you can use to edit all of the ore generation, including making graphite less rare.
  16. Problem with Custom NPCs

The problem is that CustomNPCs for whatever reason decided to extend EntityLivingBase instead of just EntityLiving like every other mod out there does, or they overriding the functiongetLastActiveItems(). Every single living entity in vanilla Minecraft as well as from mods that follow the "normal" route of extending EntityLiving or EntityPlayer always has the memory allocated for either 4 or 5slots: the 4 armor slots and optionally the item they are holding. Our damage handler is based off of that assumption that the array of itemstacks for the armor will always be returned. I would suggest you contact CustomNPC support and ask them if they have a specific reason for overriding EntityLivingBase.getLastActiveItems(), and if they could change their implementation to always return an array of at least size 4like all other living entities do.
  17. Can't Cut Decay/Grain or Combine Like-Foods

Are you sure that you haven't recently updated/removed one of the other mods you have installed or edited a config file? If I had to guess, one of the TFC addons you have installed or previously installed changes how food works.
  18. Problem with Custom NPCs

A couple of crash reports would be helpful. They will provide all the info we need that you didn't include because you didn't use the form to submit your post, and will also show which of the two mods actually needs to make changes for compatibility.
  19. World Crash- Please Help

No you do not. You can just reply to this one with the pastebin link of the new crash report.
  20. World Crash- Please Help

Your crash report shows that you have Optifine installed. Please uninstall it and provide a new crash report that is generated when Optifine is not installed.
  21. I need a good tutorial to learn modding but i can't find anyone!

The best thing you can do before you even begin is to take some tutorials/courses on Java. If you don't understand the language you are programming with, modding is going to be much harder than it needs to be.
  22. [Use Provided Form]TFC-modded world crash

Automated Message:This topic has been locked because it does not use the provided form for bug and crash reports. Click here to use the provided form to submit a bug or crash report. Edit: I just want to add that youneedto include theentirecrash report, and not just the first few lines that tell us pretty much nothing.
  23. TFC comands

I'll preface this with the important clause that with the exception of /transfer,all of our commands are for debugging purposes, and not normal gameplay. If you'd really like me to go into more depth with all of the debugging commands I can, but for now I'll just give brief descriptions, because unless you're actively developing an addon, you really shouldn't be using them. /clearchunk <radius> Requires debug mode Starts at world height and removes everything in that chunk until it exposesraw stone blocks Optional radius argument of a number for clearing more chunks /time Just like the vanilla command, but if you are in debug mode you can go back in time /time set day in debug mode will revert your calendar back to the first day of the first year /transfer <player> or /transferTamed <player> Used to transfer ownership of tamed wolves one at a time to another player If you do not specify a player, it simply sets the tamed wolf free /debugmode Enables/Disabled debug mode /vgsp Visual get spawn protection Converts the surface of the world around you to wool blocks as color representations of spawn protection /gen <object> Requires debug mode /gen fruittree Generates a fruit tree /gen fissure <liquid> /gen fissure water generates a water fissure /gen fissure hotwater generates a hot spring /gen fissure generates an empty fissure /gen tree <type> [big] Generates a tree of a specified name (oak, aspen, birch, etc.) Adding the word big (/gen tree oak big) generates the larger variant of the tree if there is one /gbt Get biome temp Gives you the same info you can see on F3 /bodytemp Doesn't do anything /gr Get rocks Tells you the three rock layers for your current location /gsp Get spawn protection Tells you the spawn protection amount of the current location /gt Get Trees Tells you the three tree layers of the area Does not necessarily mean you will find those trees there though /giveskill <player> <skill> <amount> Used to increase the skill level of a player /printimage Requires debugmode Generates some .bmp images of stuff like biome, temperature, drainage and ph maps for a small area. /removearea <x y z> Requires debugmode By default removes 16 blocks up and +/- x and z You can also pass it 3 numbers to remove a specific sized area /removechunk <radius> Requires debugmode Deletes all blocks in the given chunk /sps <player> health food water Set player stats Uses numbers to set the health, food and water levels of the given player /stripchunk <radius> Requires debugmode Deletes all blocks that are not found in TFCOres.cfg in a given chunk.
  24. Growing crops in row

Pretty sure that was for vanilla crops. It is not the case for TFC crops.
  25. How do i make slabs and stairs?

To fix the dark stairs you need to turn on smooth lighting. Even the lowest setting of smooth lighting will work.
