      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord ( is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Look who I stumbled across...

That was on FunnyJunk, one of the last places I expected to see familiar prehistoric shark.
  2. Skills make tools last longer

Later tier metal tools last for extremely long amounts of time as it is. I see no reason to buff them further.
  3. saw mill muti block

Please at least make an ATTEMPT to search previous discussions, it's been talked to death. Also it helps when making a suggestion, whatever it may be, to format and use at least passable grammar/spelling.
  4. Water Flow Distance

I actually really like this idea, I approve if it would even be possible. On top of this perhaps you could make a way to "seal" wood blocks which would make water flow a further distance, though the age of this practice may make it a mid or later game feature.
  5. Finding new rocks

Though what Kitty said is true, if you need something in warmer climates it's good to go that direction and get rid of two birds with one stone. Otherwise going East-West you can travel indefinitely.
  6. [0.79.15] Rhodance's "HugBox" Server [Closing May 22]

IGN: Antimattergizmo Age: 18 Why this server?: I'd like to keep clinging to the hope there is at least one decent server out there not full of plebeians. At least I'm guaranteed to not bear with squeakers on Teamspeak with this one. Plus TFC is a multiplayer mod at heart and I've heard grand things about this particular server. Thinking about it I believe I have been around since build 17 or so; hard to imagine we are already near 80. 2 sentence description of yourself/interests: Not much to say about me if you want skills, because in that manner I'm basically nothing though I'm a rather good sport about it and enjoy a good laugh now and then. I'm quite the nerd if you couldn't tell, and probably will end up-depending on my initial experience-devoting a large amount of time at the very least every other day until I burn myself out.
  7. Cheese OP?

If you want to deal with 1/5th of a health bar then by all means go ahead. What balances it is that you are making it very hard on yourself to survive by only consuming cheese. Also not to mention that you only happened to get cows and sugar cane. Seeing that the average spawn is more northern than toward the equator it's not a guarantee you get some sugar cane.
  8. Frames and Plaster (scaffolding and building block)

This is what I had in mind as to how that wall was made, but I wasn't sure whether or not it was plaster. My rage is satiated.
  9. Frames and Plaster (scaffolding and building block)

I may have explained things wrong. Rather didn't explain and assumed you knew what I was saying. I was imagining it like the example, binding wool with some sticks and thinking that is useful. The main point I was trying to come across was wool in those packs is just used because there are a limited number of blocks one can texture in vanilla. There was never at any point in time wallpaper made of wool, and incredibly wall siding as well (imagine that!). As I said before you could have the same effect making a new stone recipe, but it seems like you just need to move that little texture you like so much onto the block of your choice.
  10. Frames and Plaster (scaffolding and building block)

Just because texture packs make it so, doesn't make the actual material wool. It is unbelievable that hunks of wool in a plank frame would be able to support anything, much less a house. What is being represented is usually a really light and smooth cobblestone from what I can tell.
  11. Knowledgeable TFC Suggestions

As allen said, limit your suggestions and the "i'll suggest them again anyway" is immature and disrespectful to the rules. A lot of what you said as either been suggested or put down. There will never be a mental system or the implementation of the dirtier parts of life. Fishing is currently being worked on by Dunk, I don't understand how your steel bucket idea is different from a wooden bucket minus that it removes a source block (making it worse than a lower tier). Road things have been discussed at great lengths and as I remember it were mostly turned down or shoveled onto the gigantic backburner this mod has. Please reread the forum rules before posting again to improve your and everyone elses experience here, thank you.
  12. Exploration Incentive (structures)

Sounds too magicky imo,I'd rather you finds plans or something you can commit to memory that allow you to make new weapons and such. I agree with an extreme rarity on these structures. I want it to be something you happen to find, not something you look for. And make it even rarer to find these suggested rare items. I also imagine a state of ruin to the point mining a single block likely would collapse the whole thing.
  13. Useful lava

Maybe it could be implemented in the far off inclusion of rudimentary steam? As much as I want Dwarf Fortress-esque lava forges, it just doesn't seem like it could work quite right or mesh well with the dry burn of the forge. Imight see it being used with a blast furnace and it's metal walls as a way to speed up the process. And I definitely think moved lava should work just the same as natural if only to give more want for high tier metals.
  14. And sorry for not coming back to the thread, exams are killer. Look forward to playing soon as I'm added. At least with multiplayer I can't ragequit my world like I always do.
  15. Age: 17 Minecraft Username: Antimattergizmo Why would you like to join?: This mod is infinitely more fun with friends on a server. What previous experience do you have with TerraFirmaCraft and Minecraft in general?: I've been a Minecraft veteran since April 10, 2010, with TFC since shortly after Crysyn started his survival guide series (so before the builds hit the 20s at the least) Any additional information that would help your case:I would most likely--barring any burnout of the game--be playing every other day or so.
  16. Would be ineresting as an unknown occurracnce to break up the rather dull deep Earth. This may be too far,but what about a forested area underground, perhaps with some form of artificial sun. This sort of brings up the issue of including projectable light; and that one is a doozy.
  17. Perhaps change the surface rocks of top layer basalt to be obsidian, though just finding it in the manner of sulfur would be just as fine
  18. surprise I have returned to the people that remember little ol' me and it appears topics still get derailed quicker than a joke I can't think of. Obsidian is such a fickle thing in vanilla and as an actual substance. I think having that form of new arrows that are slightly stronger would be a nice alternative to metal point smithing.
  19. Encumbrance

We don't want plain to sight rpg stats or anything like that. Maybe those effects apply, but there is nothing to say that it does. You would have to try out the armour and get a feel for how it works with your body.
  20. Better doors, trap doors, gates and window hatches

Only thing that sparks interest to me is the diagonal doors, other than that it's stuff already in a different form or coming (inlet trap doors). Seems a bit of useless extra code to me tbo
  21. Ore visibility/distinguishability

It would be nice to give a better origin to gems rather than random finds. Maybe they would be as rare as natural spawning nether portals (they do exist). That way they would be so rare you would have to make them fairly massive regardless of ore content. Seeing as it would be a once in several hundred worlds thing to occur it wouldn't really matter. I'd love to get lucky enough to have one near the surface (they would need to be very deep) and fall through some loose dirt into a crystal chasm. Though that may end up with me impaled on a crystal spike :S
  22. Scorched ground

Instead of a whole new texture, would it be any easier to make it dirt? maybe just the ground the fire spreads in top of i.e. grass blocks are flammable and turn to dirt, or even have grass blocks disappear as logs and tall grass does.
  23. Encumbrance

Perhaps the cobweb should be dealt with code and look-wise of glass panes. Or possibly use 1.4s tiling map ability so cobweb expand without a repeating pattern. Just thinking of ways existing codes could alleviate coding pains and make features better that way. After seeing Dunk used cat/creeper code for deer, this is pretty much how I going to think of all features. For example, the pottery can be used as a way to plant and grow herbs, which possibly go into remedies and alchemy
  24. Bioxx should add Bukkit support

Yes, there issingle and multi player. All was added was LAN support, you still can't make a server out of single player is they are not on your LAN. Also sad news with the latest snapshot. Some parts of mod API dealing with rendering have to be rebuilt from the ground up, so even more delay, huzzah!
