      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Are you by chance, a dragon boat? http://tinyurl.com/7m4g742 [Link to post referenced]

      EternalUndeath

      ...? what's a dragon boat

    2. Boea

I'm referencing a book, I think it had the Title "Here There Be Dragons" or something, and it involved dragon boats.

  2. Fortification

I'll refer to some more recommended reading, inserting metallic, or harder objects into your building materials of choice, either by pile it in with the cobblestones, or inlaying, inserting, or putting metals or ores into the seams of your masonry. Other than that I recall something about persistent block damage [pretty much, hit block, it keeps the cracks, and gradually heals on its own, faster if you use some form of spackle on it]. Maybe you could have something that incorporated the above into your suggestion, say, using spackle, and reinforcements changes how the blocks take damage, and increase their durability greatly. You get walls that are harder to fall by a pick flailer, but they can take them down after prolonged force, explosives, or use of siege weaponry.
  3. more Dence Building blocks

Straw with adobe, silver or gold inlays with ceremonial swords, how aztecs made their swords [inserting obsidian barbs/razors in wood clubs], metal inlays/leaves in/on furniture, and statues. Pyramids were to be said to be topped with precious metals, a few of the Great Walls of China were laden with mass graves. Rebar, is not special, hell, you could argue cheap cobblestone nowadays is some fuck tossing pebbles into cement, or caking pebbles, and gravel with mortar, what's to say you can't do the same with metal ingots, or pieces, or ores. I simply don't find it believable otherwise.
  4. more Dence Building blocks

You know, it can be as simple a placing metal sheets, or quite literally metal rods in the mortar of stone bricks, bonus point if we can mill holes in them, or somply put ore, or ingots in cobble walls.
  5. Bsb23's Enchantment Document

Mercury is quiksilver, as far as I can tell, mercury for all intents and purposes is like bodacious silver liquid magic-poison. Anyways, I like the idea of repurposing unused potions in minecraft, I am really interested in what the debonnare potion is.
  6. Lock Boxes

Another thing you can do, break the box, it will be loud, and no one will be proud, and hopefully it leaves behind a junk block.
  7. I like how you went with him on me being pissy, if I were, I would make something longer than short phrase, and probably do something silly, like talk about sexism

  8. I wasn't pissy, dude.

    1. bsb23

      bsb23

You were arguing in short angry sentences. Pissy is just another way of saying somewhere between annoyed and angry. You weren't raging but you seemed ready to argue. I find conversation and arguing on forums to be a waste of my time, I was just stopping one from starting.

You were actually inflammatory, a better way would be just to let it die, at least personally.

  9. Fish traps and more fish

Why not more arbitrary block structures? That and the fishing gui mini game for javelins seems a bit lazy, I want to be the spear chucker.
  10. RedPower Compatibility

Numbers are good for emphasis. Please don't assume my sex. Redstone should be something that is a little further than iron, and that's pretty much it, other than being arduous to refine, but less a hassle than steel. That being said, it would mostly rely a marathon of flux, centrifuging, powdering, and soldering, if possible, rather than a marathon of juggling flaming irons.
  11. RedPower Compatibility

1, please stop making huge quotes, you can snip off frivolous text. Anyways, redpower should be mid-late game things, while redstone should be mid game, considerably when you have a nice house, a pile of charcoal, and a sustainable form of food, which is also a great time to be in the lower-moderate agricultre, lower medicine, and copper tiers of the game. [redstone, and wrought iron being a premium at the time]
  12. New Health and Medicine System

    You probably drop them.
  13. Fish traps and more fish

How about buoys, most thing have those good awful plastic floats, crab cages, those filter-like constructs, nets of varying depths, and net barriers, I'd just like to use a javelin or something on these fauna.
  14. More Weapons

I'd just really like the idea of having a bit more weapon variety: Estoque [Colloquially named the Jousting Sword, its blade is triangular, and forms a very fine point, and interestingly enough, two-handed, a trusted jouster's/lancer's weapon] Foil Claymore Hunting Knife [small, sharp, probably for cleaning kills, or fast cinch kills]
  15. RedPower Compatibility

Augh! What I'm saying is that if anything, if there is a such a thing as a sort of compatibility between Redpower and TFC, one has to first make redstone within the canon of TFC. I'd be okay if it involved some contrived reach around involving using a bloomery with sand mixed with charcoal to make boules, and somehow making redstone from that silicon contrivance. After redstone is thought out, you need the expressed permission of the mod authors [bioxx and eloraam] to make a compatibility add-on that is not by the authors. Past that, it'd only seem really possible -for now- that TFC be able to reach for something a bit above the normal machines of of vanilla minecraft in its own way, if redstone ever becomes a thing, and the compatibility mod doesn't happen. And making a compatibility mod is outright since it may introduce elements that are entirely too far for TFC without drastic measures like really sketchy 1500s technology simply making the means of production a bit hacky to be made*. *- like making it so that the only way to make red alloy is by using a metallurgist's table with [what at this point may be] enriched cinnabar-doped silicon boules with a bit of flux, and tin/copper/iron, and then utterly reworking all of the items' recipes to make it seem a bit more appropriate for TFC [[Also, you are welcome]]
  16. Updated the Wiki

How do you make a stone scythe [as referred to inside the stones' info pages] D:
  17. Chest storage size

Redpower, and Thaumcraft should be a very obvious example of using metadata to unscrupulously expand the amount of items you can have in the game, though those items may simply be tile entities, they still work like blocks, and can function as a sort of machine, or inventory.
  18. TF Craft more RPG like? But not realy RPG

Yeah, a bit of research goes a long way, I'd rather the effects of the research to be hinted at, and you would have to do a bit of simple reasoning, and so on to glean some useful knowledge. If anything a large problem would be how to make the game recognize what the hell you are doing with these doodads, and I can say, I'm not envious of bioxxx if s/he feel ripped enough to do this.
  19. RedPower Compatibility

It would be a sort of add-on, and with the increasing technology, things would have to be made, within expressed consent of both parties to make the whole ordeal more involved. The likelihood of this dream team sort of thing is very low, but it'd have to be upper-mid-range experimental stuff using the very limited [and difficult] redstone scene. [Assuming redstone is as difficult to refine, and so on, as it should be to fit this mod in the first place, refining it into red alloy would be really hit and miss] [[As a post note, I find your Location to be pretty cute. And as a secondary, nothing says the add-on has to go past first tier redpower, which is red alloy, and a few of the starter machines, bonus points if the starting machines are multi-block entities]]
  20. TF Craft more RPG like? But not realy RPG

Eh, it'd be better if you used struccture blocks for the other parts, so that the core is not only the costliest part of the build, in addition to spreading the cost of the item out.The real question is, you need a sort of limiter for larger structures, simply make a sturdier core, or sturdier structure pieces.
  21. TF Craft more RPG like? But not realy RPG

Its more of a question of how many arrows you are willing to waste on this. Other than that, what else should be possible, siege towers? siege ladders, rams, and other things.
  22. Enchantments; The Photon Strikes Back

A hammer, on gems. A hammer on gems. I don't believe you hammer cables into computers, nor do you install glass by hammering it with a hammer. Anyways, the difficulty should come form the amount of energy you are pumping into a gem/tool to active/encrust them.
  23. TF Craft more RPG like? But not realy RPG

Arrows are made so that they fly head first, for accuracy and precision's sake: there is a reason that the shaft is usually lighter than the head, and the tail is made the way it is.
  24. Updated the Wiki

Now it is, same with the forge in the manufactured category.
  25. TF Craft more RPG like? But not realy RPG

Arrows in a catapult is actually a very effective thing to do, as long as you place at least a dozen in the cup. [imagine, suddenly, arrows, stacks of them] Ballistae, there are generally a few types, ones that fire warheads [really big arrows], cannonballs [really far I might ad], and a few other things.
