      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. TerraFirma+ : Medicine & Health

Mental health I don't think is really much needed, but in physical health one could add infectious diseases too, caused by exposing to cold enviroments (Colds lol), drinking unboiled water (amoebiasis) eating raw meat (worms)...
  2. terrafirmacraft is like viagra

    Lol
  3. Metal ornanents (Goldsmithing)

Ok guys, another of my many suggestions Goldsmithing (can also be coppersmithing and bronzesmithing) You may believe I mean tools, but no... Imagine you are in the steel age, you live out of steel tools only, but you found large amounts of copper and tin, or zinc in the mines. What about bronze ornaments? A copper vessel? It should be nice to have, goblets, plates, spoons... It should be nice eh?
  4. Metal ornanents (Goldsmithing)

Yeah, I would like to enjoy decorating my small house in the plain village with copper cookware and plates
  5. Update Frequency Poll

Come on Bioxx! Beat that laziness to death! You can do it! Bioxx! Bioxx! Bioxx! Bioxx! Bioxx!
  6. Bronze bloomeries? Iron furnaces? That ain't be believable

You use the bloomery to make iron for a new blast furnace... how does that sound?
  7. Bronze bloomeries? Iron furnaces? That ain't be believable

I am just saying that I feel incomforted because I know the bloomery and the furnace are made of metal sheets to pass through the ages... But once I am endgame it is annoying to find that bronze again... Just annoying...
  8. I can't Wait for the new Update Thread!

F**k, Im anxious too, armor stands, horses, pheasants, smithing w/o plans, arranged ore gen and... HOT SPRINGS!!! I want the build NOW!!!!!
  9. Bronze bloomeries? Iron furnaces? That ain't be believable

-- Did I say realism? The title says believable
  10. Bronze bloomeries? Iron furnaces? That ain't be believable

-- Anvils are still there so we must go through the ages anyways
  11. Update Frequency Poll

Oh... well... I look forward to TFC being completed anytime soon
  12. [Offline] Zandrov's Server No Whitelist or PVP

Moress, the ashes of the old shall become the roots of the new, as I'm planning to join this server! Say hello to my empire in potence!
  13. Bronze bloomeries? Iron furnaces? That ain't be believable

Not really, remember the anvils Kitty, those must still be made... And sometimes bronze is more convenient because charcoal is hard to make... But, for example, once I got to the iron age and want to make more bloomeries I must still find more bronze, and that sincerely is annoying. (Yay 300th post!)
  14. stoneage, copperage, bronze age way to fast (modified)

No copper pickaxes? No way I'm letting you remove them!
  15. Discussion thread for the Combat Revamp

-- Don't really feel good about that part of that idea, as there would be too many shields in the game, more items, more lag I think (I know that's not the main cause we lag). Well, I look forward to being a peltast, use an arched shield and throw my javelins
  16. Houses

Me likes the likes of this thread so far, as me builds viking, irish huts!
  17. You know, thinking about the fact that in next build horses are coming, TFC and Extrafirma have a huge variety of weapons, plus my likes to RPG (Role Playing Games) and RTS (Real Time Strategy) games, I tought on making a special tournament, between TFC players, kinda battles of 5 and 5, 10 and 10 players and such. Maybe hosting them on one of our variety of servers, having someone to record the battles and get them to youtube. I tought this could also help raising the popularity of the mod, I don't know if it would help, but it would be worth to try it? Some ideas are: -Use steel armor and wrought iron/bronze tools, this way the fight won't end too quickly -Horses are optional -Maybe some "classes" per group (all must be the same), like: _Mongol horseman: Horse (mandatory ), bow, dagger, leather armor _Sarracen mameluke: Horse (optional), leather/bronze/iron armor, bow/javelins and sword/dagger _European knight: If in Horse, steel armor, sword/mace, if in infantry, steel armor, halberd/sword/mace OR In infantry: crossbow/bow dagger for archer _Viking raider: leather/steel armor, mace/sword, axe/hammer (minor weapon) _Indian warrior: Maybe horse (after the white men reached the New World, apache, sioux and other plain indians used them) Either copper or bronze (incas used bismuth bronze) in weapons, and no armor (won't last much , but to even the odds two peps from the other side must switch, to give them their typical number advantage) no sword, but maces, knives, bows, and stone weapons, like stone axes, knives and javelins. Not a highly reccomended faction, but to take America in count _African hunter: Either iron or bronze (they had ironworking learnt thanks to Roman influence ) daggers, bows, and stone knives, axes and javelins, maybe use of horses. _Japanese samurai: If in horse, bow and sword (to use as katana ) if in infantry, sword, javelins and both either horseback or infantry can use bronze, steel or leather armor. -You can make a fort for one faction to tell it's "defensive" or to give it fun, make two fortresses with the theme of each culture. May be a bit boring and tedious. For the Mongols, some straw tents surrounded by a palisade. For the Sarracens, an arab like fort. For the Europeans, a small castle. For the Vikings a mead hall, or even longboat . For the Indians maybe an Aztec pyramid, or if you feel like building, the whole Machu Picchu , or maybe just a couple tipis (Poor indians are so weak ). For the africans, adobe/straw houses surrounded by adobe/mud walls. (Extrafirma, remember). For the Japanese, a japanese castle/fortress. -Don't complain about the excessive faces, I'm very excited about this and my emotions can vary, and I like history so you wonder... Hope this is helpful/funny to the TFC community, comment what you think!
  18. Changes in quern recipes

Hello guys I come here with another one of an idea. I've noticed two things in the mod. First, I think there is too few grain required to make bread, considering each grain is equivalent to each bread and each grain item contains 5 seeds as shown in the illustration. What about each 5 grains make 1 flour, if there is less than 5 grains, nothing happens, just durability of the handstone is lost, but still change the recipe of dough, so that three flours, 1 bucket = 1 dough, that is cooked as 1 bread. That way it's more believable, right? That way at least 75 seeds are needed to make the bread. (Not realistic, but believable ) Second of all, isn't it odd that there is soo much graphite and kaolinite needed for 1 fireclay? It should be like, each kaolinite girahves 5 powder, each graphite 5 powder too. Because, I don't think that metric ton of powder is needed compared with the clay used, sincerely, considering each piece of kaolinite/graphite only gives 1 powder, I would suppose there is a lot of powder in there.
  19. Ok, the bow was invented by the men of Cro-Magnon, thousands of years before copper smelting was discovered, yet we need a saw to make a crafting table. Same with fishing rods, I should be able to fish in the stone age. (Maybe that is simply solved with other method yet I suggest the alternative recipe). There is something wrong in that, right? So I will come up with this idea. Making a bow: A bow is made by bending a stick to tie with a string and there is a bow. To bend the rod, you just need to heat the stick. To avoid it to be turned to torch, change cook stage to warming (without the *s), hot, very hot, catching fire, lit. When the stick is hot or very hot, just put it in the crafting slot to make a bent stick. It has the form of a bow. Then place it with wool yarn or string. Making a fishing rod: This one is easy, just place sticks like if you were to make a firestarter, and a string in the lower right free slot. There is a small fishing rod. To make it more effective, knap a hook or make it out of metal. Through the rod could not lose durability, the hook COULD. And if it's a metal hook it is more effective than a stone one. To make it funnier, the string of the fishing rod has a chance of breaking and returning you two sticks (the ones of the rod itself). If it had a hook, you lose the hook. The chances could be of 1 to 100 that the string could break. Well, anyways... That's all folks! Enjoy the idea.
  20. An Alternate Dimension

-- Can't shitloads of iron and sulfur convince you?
  21. [Offline] Zandrov's Server No Whitelist or PVP

-- If you want a better gameplay, get ExtraFirma For an economy, get CustomNPCs and use the coins That's my ideas for mods
  22. Raiders and Thieves

-- I'm not against the NPCs, the developers are, and... what I don't like is the risk of loosing stuff... On singleplayer? I don't think so. For the future, Dunk has stated he is including wild animals to replace the monsters, that will live underground in future versions. And at last, if you want raiders, look for the mod CustomNPCs... those are pretty good.
  23. An Alternate Dimension

Well, I got a fairly new idea that I hope you enjoy: The Nether is not believable, yet I have a better idea: the Underworld. The Underworld isn't accessed by a portal. To access the Underworld, just go down till' the lava layer. Instead of bedrock there is a rock as hard as mining obsidian with a vanilla diamond pickaxe. Once you mine it you fall to a portal block that instantly teleports you to the top of the underworld. To go back, climb to the portal block. (It can be purely black). The Underworld features the following. -It begins at layer 70 and ends at layer 0. (After that the true new layer of bedrock, unaccessible due to hot temperatures) -Temperatures from y-70 to y-50 vary from 30° to 40°, from y-50 to y-30 they vary from 35° to 50°, and from y-30 to y-0 they vary from 40° to 60° -The high ambient temperature can heat any cookable stuff you have. Maximum could be until Warming*** -It has no mobs (Let's face it, who survives in such temperatures?) -If you wear metal armor it will make you lose life to represent that you are cooking inside it once you get past 45° (may work in surface too on deserts) -Underworld is shittingly, greatly, highly rich in sulfur and magnetite, or other high tier metals that spawn on basalt -Underworld only has basalt -It consist on narrow tunnels that usually go down, and in the bottom lava pockets can appear. The wall of the tunnels usually have sulfur incrustations -After y-20 a giant lava layer that represents the end of the earth crust will spawn. In y-5 bedrock will begin to appear, representing the earth's nucleus and from y-8 to y-5 there is molten iron that represents the molten part of the nucleus (optional) -Near the beggining of the lava layer from y-23 to y-20 there is heated rock (only basalt because it's the only rock down there) if any rock is placed, it turns heated (maybe metadata). Heated rocks harm on contact and catch flammable stuff on fire, it also destroys any loose items it touches, like cacti or lava. If any rock is placed down these layers, they become heated and once mined it returns normal rock. Heated rocks have a reddish tone -You can sleep here without your bed exploding, but it sets no spawnpoint Well that's all folks! Hope you like!
  24. Blast Furnace not working...

Welcome to the Forums Guitar! Well, don't use wood for a blast furnace... it only works on stone. Wood is flammable, don't use it for a metal furnace
  25. Siege Equipment

-- Gosh... that's not believable... It is a surprise if you find a cannon made out of steel, most were made out of wrought iron.
