      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Tool repair

So is this a no to all forms of tool repair/recycling?
  2. I can't actually place sluices ?

I couldn't place the sluice because I was doing it wrong, I wasn't getting any panning results in the area possible from lack of ore.
  3. Bloomery Mold Patterns

My point is when does taking a sword to concrete become a testament to it's effectiveness as a weapon. Swords are not designed to cut through concrete. I'm not arguing that cast iron is not brittle but the test itself is what irritates me. As for the Katana, give me a European sword over a katana anyday.
  4. Bloomery Mold Patterns

    Felt neccessary.
  5. Cant make stone pick

    Same here
  6. Bloomery Mold Patterns

Throwing the word "cast" in fromt of them seems to fit the bill well. 1/4 durability seems a little harsh I think 1/2 would actually keep them plausable.
  7. Charcoal Stacks

    +1
  8. I can't actually place sluices ?

It turned out I was in a oreless area and panning was not panning out, terrible pun. Anyways finally got it all figured out.
  9. Sluice problem

Salvantos and GCountach, you guys are my bloody heroes of the month for the diagram and descriptions. Thank you for your help. The problem I was having was if you don't have the last block at the end dug out(Light blue/teal on Gcountach's diagram) it won't work. Ex. So when you do dig it out for room for the little end pool to make itself, it works. Ex. Once again, thanks for the help.
  10. Cant make stone pick

Stone propick and picks have been removed. Check the changelogs frequently cause a lot of stuff is changing and happening.
  11. Sluice problem

I'm getting incredibly frustrated because I can't make these damn sluices work for me. Do they have to be placed in a river biome or is that just for panning? I finally got a sluice to put down and the water just runs over the top of it like it's a dirt block or something, any help at all in how to set it up?
  12. I can't actually place sluices ?

Ok, I finally got the latest one installed and tried running the sluices and gold pan and having issues. Does the sluice still have to go eight blocks from the water source? Also, I am right clicking to fill the gold pan ad right clicking again, is that how it works? I did that for a while and got no results so wondering if I'm doing it wrong.
  13. I can't actually place sluices ?

Can you link those videos or something, I want to learn how to use them lol
  14. Thoughts on B47 ?

I hope crysyn puts out a new video about these changes because I'm confused as hell about the sluice panning situation
  15. Clouds

Please don't break compatibilty with optifine, it's the only reason my laptop runs minecraft lol.
  16. uber glitchy support beams on SMP

First Post: I have had this happen and it usually took a relog or complete restart of minecraft to make it stop. They act kinda funny when they are not being placed against a block so possibly you need to build a 1 wide wall on the side, build the supports to where you want them then take down the side wall. They bugged like hell whilst I tried to make a bridge and doing that made it much more bearable. Second post: Your bar is incomplete and you need to melt more ore into it until the "Health Bar" finishes.
  17. Use shears to craft wool into carpets!

Awesome Idea, I usually make carpet out of wool when I get enough and this would surely reduce the amount of wool needed. It definitely needs to autocorrect on the edges like you're saying if possible. Always a fan of elaborate decoration. +1
  18. Things That Are Too Easy

I agree with DLP if you want a challenge for your first few nights and usually until you make armor of a decent standard like bronze, crank up the difficulty. On the oddworld server most people die constantly until they get armor which is usually a long time. The mobs do more damage, you die of starvation, mobs are deadly and spawn in huge packs all around you. Also deez has the cave-ins tweeked and you can't even hardly make a cave to hide in without it collapsing if you dig very much without supports. If it's too easy make it harder.
  19. Xbox 360 *Gasp!*

It's scary, but I haven't been a PC gamer in 6 years. If you have a 360 my gamertag is UnderCuvaHippo.
  20. whats you fav icecream?

    Neopolitan fer dayz
  21. Rails

I like this idea since minecarts seem like they are going to have more use now(If megaveins stay). I would like those lower teirs of metal to do something once you hit the next tier and possibly a different way to make powered rails because I can't find cinnabar to save my life, maybe it's just me. It says the recipe for now is temporary so hopefully he has a better rail system in mind and it's just not added yet and we'll just have to make do until then.
  22. Recycling Anvils

Can a mechanic for recycling old anvils be added to the game? Once you get a high tier anvil like steel you don't need that copper/bronze/wrought iron anvil anymore and reclaiming those ingots would be nice. Maybe heat up the anvil and put it in the crafting table with a hammer or something to break it apart or throw it in the bloomery I don't know how but it would be nice.
  23. Tools & Weapon Modding

For the enchantment thing someone suggested a socket system like diablo 2. Maybe that would give a use for gems and cover those things magic does but we can't. They seem like both systems would compliment each other nicely.
  24. Recycling Anvils

I'm torn. Before the superveins when I made this thread conserving metals was a huge deal, making tools like shovels axes and propicks out of metal and 7 double ingots of each metal for decoration was blasphemy. You had to scavenge a lot for metal and finding veins was a daily activity. But I do enjoy finding a supervein, creating a road or rail to it and having a mine set up. Not sure which way I would go for the most. Both plays styles were fun.
  25. Recycling Anvils

With the new superveins that are being found you're set for life with metal so this doesn't matter anymore really.
