ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.
Any questions or comments can be directed to Claycorp on either platform.

Tutorial styled modpack for players who have little to no knowledge of Terrafirmacraft Hosted onCurse here or get it ongithub Most mod packs for Terrafirmacraft assumes players have a working knowledge of the mod and are geared toward extending the game play for veteran players. This mod pack is different. I have included a quest book to guide players from basic survival tolearning what it takes to run your homestead then eventually to more technology. This pack includes a lot of the addons/bridge mods and helps you learn those as well. I did not use Minetweaker or another program to alter anything. Beginner map is in the template folder. You will need to move it to your save folder to play it. Mods: Help me track issues by reporting them here.

When I work a copper strip in the anvil, and i move the green cursor all the way to the right, the copper strip disappears/is destroyed. Is this intentional?

[TFC 0.79.29.922] Teagan's Guide to: Terrafirmacraft
Teagan75 replied to Teagan75's topic in Mod Packs
It can be downloaded from the curse launcher but it is in the template folder as well. The newest update should fix some of the crash issues - I hope -
I figured that is what the crash was about. I haven't experienced this myself in single play, so was wondering how nbt data could be missing. I suspect it was cheated in somehow. This is the second person with corrupted food on my server. Edit: Either it was cheated or perhaps food items nbt data gets corrupted when received as a reward in Better Questing. I had trouble giving sandwiches/salads through the questbook so maybe.

Getting this crash with ticking entity. Using most recent versions of TFC and Cellars.http://pastebin.com/7Ge6tUrF

[TFC 0.79.29.922] Teagan's Guide to: Terrafirmacraft
Teagan75 replied to Teagan75's topic in Mod Packs
You have to use the curse launcher to get the whole pack. There is a link to alternate files hosted on github. I will update the OP with the link. https://github.com/teagan75/TG-Terrafirmacraft/releases -
[TFC 0.79.29.922] Teagan's Guide to: Terrafirmacraft

Hi Bunsen, The credits were basically a copy and paste from the manifest from Curse. I definitely can add kitty and dunk to the credits. I know how much they put into this mod as well. Unfortunately if you remove mods, it may corrupt the questbook and become unplayable. You can always try. -
I thought that was the case, however I noticed you could make copper nuggets with a copper chisel and so on.

Suggestion: Since Bioxx considers Steel to be the technical endgame of tfc, shouldn't you make it so steel nuggets can be made using a steel chisel? This would allow more precise measuring of alloys.

I noticed that when I make alloys in the induction smeltery, I have to refresh the GUI to see the percentages.

i like the idea of having to heat food from the deep freezer but wondering how hard that would be hehe

Have you thought about a powered quern? If I use Immersive EnginneeringI could have Grist Mill
-
on the one hand an electric kiln sounds fun but honestly I think the kiln from the Automated Bellows mod is as upgraded you need. By the time you are using electricity/RF you aren't using much pottery anymore except for ingot molds. I think it it would be nice to have metal ingot casts that don't break rather than an electric kiln. Question: The Induction Furnace is basically an electric crucible correct? Or is it more than that? Does it replace the forge completely? Edit: nvm the question. Realized just now you have vids

As always, I enjoy these vids. Just watched the latest....you are cracking me up with those sandwiches XD -
Welcome to the forums! TFC so extensively changes Minecraft that it is indeed a lot to take in at times. It has taken me three years to feel like I may have mastered this mod and I say a big MAYBE

[TFC 0.79.29] Udary Mod - Galena/Limonite Extraction, Ingame Alloy Calculator, Tucker Bag, Evaporator Pan & Drying Mat
Teagan75 replied to Bletch's topic in Addons & Applications
I always have an issue using the alloy calculator to check my amounts to make black steel. Even when I put the exact amount of each ore needed it still says unknown but if I melt the combo in my crucible it comes out correctly. Is this a known issue? -
Is this still being worked on?

I may have missed it in this thread, but when I place the tree tap and latex bowl to a Hevea tree, how long will it take to extract? Is it dependent on temperature? would be nice to have Waila support eventually on the bowl. Thanks for all your hard work on this mod! I am really enjoying it!

^ agreed! love seeing people adding more end game. I have included this in my personal modpack for TFC!
-
I petitioned Curse to add your mod to their 3rd party list but it was denied because of the following: Hey there, We are unable to approve your submission ofTooMuchTime-TFC for inclusion on the Third Party List at this time because the license page you linked claims that their license is MIT because the original TooMuchTime is MIT, but this is incorrect; TooMuchTime uses the GPLv2 license per the https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/toomuchtime project page. That being the case, any derivatives must also use GPLv2 or they are in violation of the terms or the original project's license. Take care, Torhal
