ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.
Any questions or comments can be directed to Claycorp on either platform.

I don't know if I'm just doing something wrong or what, but I have been completely unsuccessful at crafting just a basic firepit. I've thrown down 4 rocks, 4 hay, and 4 sticks, and held down right click on them all with a firestarter. I've gone through many many firestarters with nothing ever happening to my pile of items on the ground. I have Minecraft 1.11.2, Forge version12.20.0.2312, TFC2 version0.2.1, and Pam's Harvestcraft1.11.2g. I also have Optifine and Shaders installed, but I had this issue before using either of those. What the hells? Edit: Also, I've only ever found food once. I know Pam's Harvestcraft is installed and working because I've seen the beehives onces or twice, but is food just exceedingly rare to find?

This looks awesome. I had a small but popular server running once that used the Zombie Awareness mod as the basis for it, but I discontinued it as I was told that most of the ZA code had actually been incorporated into TFC already. Is that not really the case? Do you find the mob behavior to be much different with ZA installed compared to without? I'd love to play together on a server like this.

0.78.17 ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException shortly after joining server
kurzninja replied to InsaneJ's topic in Support
I hate to necro this thread, but I'm having almost the exact same crash on 79.15 while playing on DarkAgeCraft server. There is an invisible fruit tree in my town. When I look at where the trunk/branches would be, NEI says that it's a "kapok log". In fact, when I look at all of my fruit tree trunks, NEI is telling me their all kinds of different "regular" tree logs. My orange trees, for instance, NEI shows their trunks as "ash logs" so I'm wondering if that it just some kind of inconsistency with NEI and not related to the crash. Unlike the guys above, I'm not crashing by simply getting near the invisible tree. If I try to hit it though, immediate crash. I took some pictures of the invisible trunk as well if you think that would help. Crash log here: ---- Minecraft Crash Report ----// Don't do that.Time: 2/22/15 12:02 PMDescription: Unexpected errorjava.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 15at com.bioxx.tfc.Blocks.Flora.BlockFruitWood.func_149691_a(BlockFruitWood.java:58)at net.minecraft.client.particle.EntityDiggingFX.(EntityDiggingFX.java:26)at net.minecraft.client.particle.EntityDiggingFX.(EntityDiggingFX.java:19)at net.minecraft.client.particle.EffectRenderer.func_78867_a(EffectRenderer.java:289)at net.minecraft.client.particle.EffectRenderer.addBlockHitEffects(EffectRenderer.java:303)at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_147115_a(Minecraft.java:1350)at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_71407_l(Minecraft.java:1956)at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_71411_J(Minecraft.java:962)at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_99999_d(Minecraft.java:887)at net.minecraft.client.main.Main.main(SourceFile:148)at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:62)at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43)at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:483)at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.launch(Launch.java:135)at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:28)A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Head --Stacktrace:at com.bioxx.tfc.Blocks.Flora.BlockFruitWood.func_149691_a(BlockFruitWood.java:58)at net.minecraft.client.particle.EntityDiggingFX.(EntityDiggingFX.java:26)at net.minecraft.client.particle.EntityDiggingFX.(EntityDiggingFX.java:19)at net.minecraft.client.particle.EffectRenderer.func_78867_a(EffectRenderer.java:289)at net.minecraft.client.particle.EffectRenderer.addBlockHitEffects(EffectRenderer.java:303)at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_147115_a(Minecraft.java:1350)-- Affected level --Details:Level name: MpServerAll players: 1 total; [EntityClientPlayerMP['kurzninja'/550604, l='MpServer', x=2120.12, y=145.62, z=-4931.59]]Chunk stats: MultiplayerChunkCache: 399, 399Level seed: 3871158258618044629Level generator: ID 00 - TFCDefault, ver 0. Also, how do you know if a shader supports text names? It would be a lot easier to just put in "mc_Entity.x == {text name here} instead of trying to find all the block IDs, definitely. How do you find IDs/textnames for things like crops that don't have an item?
-
I just updated to 79.15 and now when I fire it up, all my shaders work fine except now my dirt blocks are suddenly waving like crazy. Not grass dirt block, just regular dirt blocks. Did this ID somehow change or could it be one of my other mods causing it?

Would it make more sense to make powder kegs with variable payload amounts? Maybe there's the 100% full powder keg that has 100% of the power, but one with only 25% of the materials has 25% of the effect?

What if something like adobe or mud bricks were added, but with the downside of having a small random chance of having a block decay and disappear, with that chance increasing slightly when it's raining? That would make for a semi-permanent housing structure that would require just a bit of upkeep until you advanced to more sturdy building materials. Don't make the decay chance so much as to be annoying that your house is always falling apart, but just enough that you'd want to fix it up every now and again.

[x64] H3D Texture 5.1.2 [TFC Build 0.79.15] (Updated 01-13-15)
kurzninja replied to Kreicus's topic in Resource Packs
OMG yay, thank you. I've been having to use the vanilla textures until you updated this one. Does this also include the animal familiarity icons? That was one of the biggest texture pack annoyances for me. -
Jutetown is a quaint little settlement just directly south of Spawn, on the west coast of Jute Lake. To the east along the lake coast you can also find Hermitville, and then a little to the east of that is Swamptown, an outpost of the Roman Republic. Jutetown and Hermitville are currently both independant towns, not part of any nation. Jutetown lies close enough to the waters of Jute Lake to allow for easy farming while being far enough away to avoid seasonal floods. The area surrounding Jutetown is prolific with many natural crops, including rice grain, soybeans, greenbeans, and of course prolific amounts of jute, with more crops not too far away. To the east just south of the lake are many lava pools and basalt plains. Currently Jutetown contains a comfy rest stop, the Andesite Inn, as well as a single home dwelling, bakery/kitchen, a decent farmland, a fantastic smithery and metalworking shop, and basic temple to Dia'mand, god of the rocks. Jutetown also has a nice collection of piggies and sheeps, with wool being one of the main exports. The Jutetown town limits are pretty sizable so we have a good amount of area to build on. Jute town currently has one active resident (me, Kurzninja). We had more, but they apparently have stopped playing. So, I am looking for more recruits to help terraform, do some farming, and building some more residences and town buildings. Things planned for building are a town hall, bigger/better Dia'mand temple, storage barn, better animal pens, stone masonry shop, tailorshop (for wool making), and more. I would also like to work with Swamptown, Hermitville, and Avalon to build some connecting roads. If you'd like to join Jutetown (and you should ), simply come visit, say hi, and let's talk. Moar pictures available here.

[TFC 0.79.17] Lanterns Addon for TFC
kurzninja replied to aleksey_t's topic in Addons & Applications
Could it be possible to make it so that higher tier lanterns put out light over a wider area and lower tiered ones light up smaller areas?
