      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. "Organic" Knapping and moar tools

^ 3D design in Minecraft? Do you understand the simple constraints that require millions of line sof code to simple build the "Line Tool"
  2. Things That Are Too Easy

There is one goal for TFC: Survive. Trying to suggest any other, you may as well be swimming against the tide. Your going to get reset every time. don't, and as is this mod's player base is huge BECAUSE of the amount of work the start game gets. The endgames is being edited, as we're told, but this mod is still not even close to being out of beta, so the player base has time to grow. Thank Direwolf20 and Bebopvox for the flood of players recently. Many of them play this a lot, and eagerly wait for the next change. How do you think they pay for the forums and the website? Cause of the traffic. The developer's get our appreciation by our downloads and traffic.
  3. Kingdoms Brainstorming

Erm... Interesting thread. :3 I like playing on SMP servers of any minecraft variation., and like leadership roles i make. I personally joined a tekkit server and ruled an organized company, for three days albeit, but the point is they were all total strangers. The problem is when someone takes charge and dosen't know how to lead a group of people they don't know. Ex., Bioxx leading this thread. Bioxx knows how to keep it under control. the rest of us... Not so much. Honestly, if people can't form their own kingdoms, then they shouldn't be starting a kingdom. If you don't have support of your citizens, then your pretty much SOL. EDIT: thank Rome: Total War....
  4. Kingdoms Brainstorming

I really think the core of TFCraft should be focused ON SMP. I really don't like minecraft SSP, because of how empty it is. There is nothing to do once you get your 30 some odd diamonds, and go blow up the ender dragon. Really, Multiplayer is what this is geared towards, building more of a communal approach with people of different talents helping each other out. Also, i think on the point of protecting things, it should be completely open, so if someone steals and gets caught, a justice system has to be implemented.
  5. Environmental Dangers

Suggested, but sounds cool none the less.
  6. Environmental Dangers

Since i'm starting i'm going to use the SDK and Generic Oracle Kits.
  7. volcanic forgeing and smithing

During a volcanic eruption, lava, or magma, can travel downhill at speeds between 20-60 miles per hour.
  8. Environmental Dangers

Off topic, but 'm attempting to learn Java, and i am curious as to what development kit You dev's use.
  9. Player death Spawns Undead

All Suit and tie, red carpet affair with personal catering of exotic foods, and celebrity guest stars?
  10. Environmental Dangers

Fire tornadoes aren't large... in fact they happen in smaller spaces due to multiple back drafts. So 1 fire in a crowded Japanese home add doors, and a bit of wind, and FWOOm.
  11. Player death Spawns Undead

Lmao, and new credits would be cool, like actuak credits that give you guys credit for making the mod
  12. Dirt Roads

Are we talking bout Assyrian tanks?
  13. Environmental Dangers

One: ^ Two: If Tornadoes don't happen in mountainous regions, are you implying there will be mostly only mountains?
  14. More Sluicing & Panning

Unless i get LED's i'm not quite up for geodes, but maybe, just maybe, small ore traces can be found by destroying it with the propick, not in the iv. table, cause then you could see it and not waste your durability on it.
  15. Clay bricks?

I was gonna say that but then....
  16. Concede, but dunk how do we make the bronze stuff without paper?
  17. More Sluicing & Panning

Concede, also that was not a religious one except for Eternal's one picture. Crucifixion is something the Romans did a long time before Jesus was. It's a horrid torture and death, so deal with it, i was talking through a historical stand point not a religious one. Also, i know no Norse people
  18. Balanced Diet

That's.. highly highly unlikely in TFC, but maybe in something different...
  19. Clay bricks?

That wasn't a slur. I was speaking of the actual people in game, and how the only "Race" they seem like to me are ancient Assyrians due to the fact the are in the desert which makes little sense since the indian culture was mostly formed by Assyrians after they invaded Modern day India, back then idk what, and created the caste system. Hindu is a religion not a race. Really? what is different about a black person, or an Indian, than you, or me, or someone else? No slurred intent was meant from that comment. It's not the heat that doesn't satisfy me, it's the process of making mud. It requires much more to make a stable brick than sand and dirt and water. it requires small traces of a harder component. almost like a mortar.
  20. Cooking Overhaul

That i posted this slightly after and before a few.... Check some of the dates on these comments....
  21. Cooking Overhaul

Hello there! I'm fairly fresh to TFCraft but grasp most mechanics, and one that bothers me is cooking. Notably, I did find someone talking bout this. Check her out http://terrafirmacra...nd-food-itself/ I'm also bumping this back up thanks to this thread http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/1375-firepits/ But, my ideas: Looking at my ideas to now and the a fore mentioned post (Support her, go check it out), I've come up with this: Food is overly under complicated. if TFCraft is a full-conversion mod, then how come cooking has basically just carried over over? if the goal is to make it more surreal or realistic, then how can you make bread out of 3 pieces of wheat. In our world of realness here on the 3rd rock, when cooking you always lose something, be it fat or grease or burnt organic material into ash. So, there should be tiers of cooking added. Simple foods that can be cooked like bacon and warmed meats should need a spit (Crafted with rocks and sticks?) that you right click to spin so the food is thoroughly cooked. You'd place the spit over a fire pit (Possible?) so it can have dual purpose. And maybe the next tier should be a fireplace you can build to place pots and cauldrons on or over (again, the spit would be implemented). And as a final tier, you'd have stoves and ovens, and pans. Eggs could only be cooked with a pan on a stove. Continuing my ramble, plates, bowls, and cups (A drink system, hmmmmm?) would be required to hold the stuff. Tiers could be here too, with ceramic stuff, glass or porcelain next, and then metal (I don't like the metal because it seems too utilitarian, but it would hold the most food). This could also be implemented with spoons, forks, knives, and sporks required for cooking. Knives would have the most variety for cutting your meats (Definitely see butchery) and spoons for stirring soups and stews (And maybe drinks? O.O) and forks for pulling things out of the fire and into the plates and stuff (too complicated?) I think i've covered my original stuff, but go check out the other post! some cool ideas are posted there. I DO NOT HOLD complete originality FOR COOKING mechanics. Just most of the ones listed here. EDIT: Forgot this, but in MC there are two foods bars, we only see one. There's hunger and saturation. For example, a melon only saturates a tiny bit, while a pork chop saturates a lot. So higher tier foods equals higher saturation.
  22. Environmental Dangers

This is a real thing, fire tornados happen in Japan a lot.
  23. More Sluicing & Panning

Research forces you to find things to proceed on to more OP stuff. Point: The more advanced and op you get ,the easy it is to get more advanced and op.
  24. More Sluicing & Panning

The nails are in the room... Name it, and it goes through every vital organ in your body. Magic mods are fun, when all you wanna do is nothing.
