      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Coolgardie Safes

(BTW) Bananas are shipped unripe, and then artificially exposed to the plant hormone which causes fruit to ripen inl, so how we eat bananas in most developed countries is differentfrom how it would be if we grew them. But yea you are right climate probably has to do with when you eat them, as well as how okay you are with them being brown (I'll eat them pretty brown). Apples should take a substantially long time to go bad, they were popular in the 1800 in america because of their hardiness, etc. It is only modern varieties which tend to bruise & rot faster.
  2. Tree stumps

This does not add a challenge, powerful bears, monsters, and making recourses harder to get make things more challenging, this is just annoying. Edit: I am a lover of challenge to
  3. Tree stumps

this sounds kind ofcool, but this would still get in the way of building in general, and double the time it takes to clear and area, as well as add time to tree farming. I think that this would add to much time to tree farming/construction/ environment manipulation, as well as extra coding, with little to know point other than it being more realistic or cool.
  4. Traps

I like the Idea of traps as something to supplement the diet for more northern climate, while big game animals traps are realistic I really don't think that would add to the gameplay as it would make food way to easy to get, even if there is a low chance of a catch. I do like the idea of rabbits, if not as mobs, than as items like fish, they could be caught in traps with a certain chance of a catch every hour. The chance would be enough that you would get one or two catches every two days with like twenty traps set, though they would have to have to check every hour for another trap a certain distance away, so that you don't end up with massive rabbit farming operations of traps sitting row by row by row. note: I would rather have rabbit mobs than this, but if rabbit mobs are not coming, or coming in the far future than this would be nice. Also, it would be cool if they gave a different hide than other animals (and with its own processing), which could be more cold resistant than normal leather, making the rabbit trap very valuable for the cold loving player.
  5. More Wildlife, And A More Realistic Hunting Aspect

Auchuros are extinct, thought they still have a place in Terra firma craft. Actually I think auchuros should spawn in the woods and bison in plains, both being able to be domesticated.
  6. More Wildlife, And A More Realistic Hunting Aspect

Yea a massive achuros would not really have a problem with a skinny, hairless creature walking up to it because it is probably thinking that it can just gore out your stomach with one little horn. And a small rabbit is probably terrified of anything as a big (in proportion) as you are, and would run away even if it has never encountered a human before.
  7. Tree / Forest Improvements

While I like the pine needle idea, what use would rubber and maple syrup have, they seem like a lot of work, (concentrating the sap, etc.) with little reward, and little benefit to the overall game play, and therefore a lot of coding with little benefit. Maple syrup is eaten irl because it is delicious ( I am not a fan of sweet stuff and I love it), but it could not have much benefit to players in game. And how would rubber be used? I do really like the pine needle tea idea because it would add to the exploration/ survivability of the colder areas, making living in a cold biome more reasonable / attractive.
  8. Tree / Forest Improvements

The light requirements should only work in the forest biome, and correspond to the trees in that forest, note in pine forests the ground tends to be covered in moss, which would look really cool if done given an appropriate texture, like bright/dark green, not leaf debris.
  9. Irrigation / Water Channels

the point of making water transportation with a blue steel bucket is to help encourage people to reach the higher tiers. I think that there should be a method like this though, but as a late game option. Maybe crafting some sort of lead block which can be placed on a chiseled block. the question is, is it worth the trouble? Note thatpipes are in creative (ish). maybe they could accomplish this water moving thing somehow, like under/above ground pipes with water flowing to create a pool by you're house with water from a near by higheraltitudelake. Edit: maybe the chiseled stone could only carry water if it was chiseled by a blue steel chisel.
  10. Chicken Cages

Then they could be used as a weapon on others, which would be the stuff of nightmares, though they could probably cadge it, making it obsolete as a weapon. My view is that baby zombies should all die, I really do hate them. If baby zombies could only be cadged once then they would be the ultimate weapon in PVP.
  11. Blast Mining

if there were more clans/community pvp type of play on terrafirmacraft servers than this would be useful as something to use to obliterate another clan/faction's castle, if you've had enough time to get that far into the game that is.
  12. Chicken Cages

yeah you should be able to make small cadges for chickens.
  13. Non-translucent doors and trapdoors

Maybe you could craft two wooden doors to create a, "refrigerator/insulating" door which would have no light pass through and appear more solid, though that would be twice as expensive as a normal door. It could also be twice as resistant to zombies, making it more useful asa door for your house, though you would not be able to see out of it. Also, crafting low tier metal sheets onto a wooden door could also work, both for food storage and a stronger door against zombies. Trap doors should be able to just be crafted with metal sheets to create metal coated/non-transulcent trap doors. The need for metal would keep early survival food storage more primitive, and make latter/mid. game somewhat more convenient.
  14. goldenrods drop as items

If tea is ever implemented (I've seen many suggestions for tea) you could use goldenrod, which would give golden rod a use as something other than a marker.
  15. Burn Creeper Burn! And Boom!

Yea this does make sense, though if this is done, lava should not make them explode, as that would make them much less common when they are moved underground. Creepers are going to be moved underground with Zombies. skelitons, etc. just so know.
