      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. The Craft.

Ah nah man, he was fine the next morning Apart from the ropeburn and the bruises from where I'd elbowed him a couple of times :S .. It's a much longer story than I'm telling, but it got pretty violent after the knife appeared :S
  2. The Craft.

No, it's natural. You only realise how bad the bad side to them is when you have to drunkenly disarm your friend who is carrying a knife, is shaking, stabbing the air and thinks he is in vietnam, We had to hog tie him and leave him in the bathroom all night :S
  3. The Craft.

It is difficult to explain. It is much more vivid than normal (as that is indeed normal ) I also saw street signs everywhere when I closed my eyes, which was odd
  4. The Craft.

That sounds unpleasant as well :S
  5. The Craft.

That is definitely "tripping balls" I think the most unpleasant thing I saw during my experience was hair, like in the grudge, while the best thing I saw was a wonderful multicoloured shifting pattern whenever I closed my eyes
  6. Carpentry

Yep, I think you'll probably find (as I did) that 90% of it is off topic (so is this post >.<) We're turning into the aged, doddery old men of the forum world, prone to going off topic at any mention of anything. Ever.
  7. The Craft.

Yeah, I have heard of people having hallucinations due to sleep deprivation too, but I don't know how they rack up on the scale of 1 to tripping balls What did you see ? :S
  8. The Craft.

Yep, it's the TFC derailment machine at work. If you unleashed us upon a nation, all of their trains, trams and monorails would be devastated within an hour
  9. Decaying Food Continued

I'm so hurt Nah, Eternal is much funnier than me :L .. I am a serious guy all the time (at least on this forum :L) so I accept I'll never reach the dizzying heights of forum infamy that Eternal has
  10. Organic Combat Programming

That is another reason I said nothing about it
  11. Kriging a Geostatistics tool

I go for the "I have been living in a box for the last 3 months" look myself. The ladies love it ¬.¬ .. I'm just too lazy to shave
  12. The Craft.

Yeah, it is an unpleasant experience As bizarre as this sounds, once you do something like that you (or at least I) actually stop caring as much about if things are "real" or not It really made me realize how subjective everything I observed was. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that if I spend my life trying to establish what is real and what isn't, I will merely tarnish everything about my life, so I accept most things at face value regarding reality if there is only minor ambiguity. As a result, people are now far more sincere
  13. Kriging a Geostatistics tool

If you can't shave around a bloody goatee, you don't deserve facial hair I will ignore your later comment :L
  14. Carpentry

Hey, you ! I expected you to have commented on my new combat thread by now It's my first suggestion in ages and it feels empty without your disparaging comments :L I figured I'd return the favour from the lighting thread :L
  15. The Craft.

Oooh LSD is one I will always avoid I have tried hallucinogenics before and I came to a conclusion: They are a fantastic and wonderful drug, if you don't overthink things. As I am a person who overthinks everything, I spent the next 3 days wondering if I was truly sober yet. I also gained some uncomfortable insights into my mind. It was ... Interesting I advocate people try them once in their life, so they can say they really know Also, you will never criticize other people for acting up on them ever again. Everything that happens is so ... Real :S
  16. The Craft.

It has reduced usage in the relevant groups. People will always break the law, but I guarantee that more 18 y/o's drink over here than they do in the US because it is legal for them to do so. The failure of a regulation to prevent the action in question is not a good basis for it's abolition because it isn't meant to prevent, only to discourage. I bet you there are a good many people who have been scared away from a doobie on the basis it is illegal (whether I think it should be or not is a separate discussion entirely).
  17. Organic Combat Programming

You could (I presume) give mobs weaknesses and resistances to certain damage types The damage type dealt would depend on the weapon the mob was using Teeth are piercing, claws are slashing, fists are blunt .. I would go on but I am sure you get the point
  18. The Craft.

Were you talking to me ? Because I'm Scottish, and I live in Scotland There's a difference between restricted access and total prohibition. Just saying ....
  19. The Craft.

Ah hem ! Danny, shame on you ! Party politics on a forum
  20. The Craft.

I dunno, I'm from the UK (as you know ) and my parents allowing me to drink from a relatively young age (15 or so), really made it pretty boring to me I know a lot of people who drink until they can't even walk. The only thing they all have in common is that their parents wouldn't let them drink and as a result it is all "new and cool" to them. Admittedly, my boredom with alcohol didn't stop me drinking until I had to stop, but I never did it because it was new and cool, I just liked being drunk and it took me so much to get there that it was damaging my body :S I agree, some people need to be told what they can and can't do, but I feel like strict rules can harm as many people as they protect sometimes by driving people to extremes (e.g. Drinking TONNES when they are eventually allowed and brewing their own spirits, which is very dangerous for the amateur). But I definitely agree with the general sentiment that restricting availability decreases usage.
  21. Organic Combat Programming

I didn't mention them because they aren't really a part of core TFC combat. However ..... It would depend on the type of explosion. If it was a low pressure explosive then it would be primarily environmental damage (from the heat, I didn't mention environmental damage because it isn't really used as a direct combat tool until the invention of the flamethrower ). If it was a high pressure explosive, it would be a combination of crushing (pressure) and piercing (shrapnel).
  22. Pre-Stone Age Weaponry

Hey guys, can I direct you to my new thread ? .. It might help in this discussion http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/1736-organic-combat-programming/
  23. Redstone

I don't understand how this is a coincidence or notable. (Not a criticism, I just don't understand, please explain )
  24. Scorched ground

Agree'd. I would love throwable torches, flame arrows and flammable blocks for TFC, but it is way too easy to abuse these features :/
  25. I want it, I just amn't that confident we'll get it Maybe we will though
