They may not be famous or likeable, but smoked eel tastes great.

Eels should be a new mob for a few reasons, they can be cooked(or smoked) over a firepit to make food. When cooked over a firepit put a container(something like a jug) into the output slot and aswell as the cooked eel meat, you will get eel oil. Eel oil can be used for oil quenching in metalsmithing, and the oil can be used like naptha to create fire bombs of some sort. There can be different kinds of eel like giant eels in the ocean, electric eels in the jungle, and swamps, and normal eels just about everywhere else. Lastly, eels are good for philosopizing.

Backround: Marek was the oldest in a family of 3, his mother died from a unknown disease, and he and his brothers, went to work with their father at his local smithy, in the town of Lamac. Marek's brothers did not understand the trade but Marek went on to become a great Redsmith. During this time he ammased a great hoard of copper which is gave to his family before setting off on a ship to other lands. While on this boat he philosphised about eels...But that is not the point of the story. Please accept my character!

is it just me, or am i the only one who gets a hammer first just to get it over with?

I found a huge mountain range and built something similar to a dwarven fortress. I found the mounatins when starting the game and started a small camp before i had a pickaxe, and when i forged one, i dug a hole and begun building.

Maybe build a form of mint(designated structure like forge or bloomery) to make and smelt back down coins.

Electrum has a trace amount of copper in it. (0.6%), but it still shouldnt be part of the recipe. Will edit.
