      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    You can use the Spawner Lasso item from Simply horses and manually spawn some horses before you actually start playing. As for the recipes, you'll need to change those too. I suggest the CustomNPC's mod, it does the job perfectly.

  3. Galaxy Quest 2 [WIP] Current version: 1.0.4 Galaxy Quest 2 is my second game, and my first you could say big project. I plan on finishing this game and making it fully playable (and enjoyable, if possible). The game is a 2D topdown space shooter, where you take control of a spaceship on his quest (no actual quests, just shoot shoot shoot) to rid the galaxy of evil comets and mean aliens! So far I've got the titlescreen menu, volume and difficulty control (actual difficulty not yet implemented), 3D-looking background, a scrollable map and a spaceship along with movement and 360° rotation using the mouse. So this is still a very early version of the game. I plan on releasing the source code for aspiring programmers to learn from, and I'll be sure to comment the code out and make it as OOP and understandable as possible. However, the source itself won't be available for download until the game is finished. I'm also open for some good suggestions. Changelog: 1.0.4 - A lot of code cleanup and bugfixes (a day worth of work) - Volume (music and SFX) and difficulty control through the options menu - Multisampling (not configurable yet) 1.0.3 - Credits screen in the titlescreen menu - New sounds - A map around which you can move (3000x3000p) - Player is now centered on the screen, while the background moves - The background consists of 2 layers which move at different speeds, giving a 3D feel - Started work on a minimalistic HUD - Some code cleanup - Improvements to the way menu buttons work 1.0.2 - Player (in the future enemy as well) rotation using trigonometry based on mouse position - Ingame menu (accessed by pressing the escape key, exited the same way) 1.0.1 - First release!

  9. Avoiding The Grind

    Yeah, something similiar was suggested back a few months ago, although I don't know what happened to that thread.. I definitely like the idea of ore finding requiring skill and mastering rather than luck. People new to TFC would create a new world and see a bunch of rocks on the ground and different rock layers on the side of a mountain and just say "meh". While someone experienced in the ways of tracking down ore would be like "awesome seed!", and would see a pattern there. I like that.

    As far as I know that is a snapshot feature (to be added in the 1.5 branch), and not in 1.4.7. But yeah, if TFC is updated to that version I see no reason for minecarts to not behave that way. I doubt Dunk will disable it on purpose, and if he doesn't touch anything it won't break.

    I myself like a combination of granite and douglas fir (both plank blocks and logs). And as of recently I've been using hickory planks for window and door frames and such (they fit with the dark douglas fir logs). But there are many great combinations, I think the real fun is in trying them out yourself

    That sounds better, but I think barrels/cauldrons would be even better. Leave a cauldron or barrel out on rain and it will slowly fill up.

    I personally prefer the health bar without numbers displayed. You should never know for sure how much more hits you can take exactly. It's somewhat like displaying the durabilty numbers on tools, it's just that you shouldn't be able to tell EXACTLY how much more times you can swing your axe before it breaks, but you can roughly estimate with the durability bar.

    Because that is unnecessary and not a priority. I'm not sure what you mean by "not good with files", but if you can use your keyboard you're good to go.
