      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord ( is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Smokehouse Multiblock Structure!

I'm so excited people liked it so much. Thanks for all the feedback everyone!
  2. Hi everyone! My name is Pandoomic, and I stream TerraFirmaCraft every day from 1 pm until 5:30 pm MST (GMT -7). Today's stream will probably be focused on building our new farmhouse and renovating our old house into a blacksmith's workshop. I hope you'll come by and hang out! Feel free to ask any questions and comments you may have; myself or another person in chat would be happy to help.
  3. Smokehouse Multiblock Structure!

That's exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to hear
  4. Workable Straw, Thatch and Cobblestone

Hi Soul! I disagree about making thatch affected by chisels. I don't think you'd be able to get that much control shaping a bundle of straw. I like the idea of making a cobble house, but I think the possibility is already there! I just made a quick creative mode demonstration of the idea. It takes advantage of the fact that gravity affected blocks won't fall down if there are enough other blocks adjacent to them. The posts make it so you can set up a frame that is then easy to fill with cobble.
  5. Ideas about food preservation.

I made a little video with my idea for a smokehouse multiblock structure. Suggestion Thread For those who don't want to go to the other thread, the basic idea is to have a craftable grill/rack type of item that you could place your raw meat on, put charcoal underneath and light it up. If it's in a closed room, you should be able to come back after a few hours to smoked meat ready for storage for the winter. Link to video
  6. Smokehouse Multiblock Structure!

As I was lamenting my inability to find some rock salt, I starting thinking of other ways to cure meat for the winter. I came up with a new multiblock structure... the Smokehouse. It could be sized differently depending on the player's needs, but I build a slightly big one... 5x5, with a 3x3 interior. The player would make a stone hut and place a metal chimney on top... (willow planks are my stunt chimney) You could make metal racks (again with willow stand-ins) to hold the raw meat. If you line the fill the bottom area with a thin line of charcoal and light a campfire in the center, your smokehouse will start smoking the meat. Return in a few hours to have meat that would (hopefully) last through winter. I also made a video outlining the idea in case I wasn't totally clear in that description. Here it is!
