      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. We now have an official TerraFirmaCraft 1.7.10 server! It's quite active already, so I'm assuming most of you already know about it, but I should really post on the forums shouldn't I? The server is entirely managed via our Discord, so membership there is non optional. Just a quick overview: The server is whitelisted. There is a modpack on Curse/Twitch (You can also install it via MultiMC, in fact, I recommend you do.) The entire world (well, the 10K radius worldborder bit) is pregened. We have 20TPS almost always (due to some modifications/bugfixes I made) We have dynmap & a static map of biomes and stone types. We have block logging, but have yet to need it. Please keep it that way. We have most addons + Railcraft +Immersive Engineering. More information on Discord (#official-server) or the server landing page.
  2. I would like to present my recent work - TFC Progressive Pack ver. 1.53 - extension of technology, transportation and weaponry beyond TerraFirmaCraft lifespan. Mod pack contents are /mods, /config and /scripts directories, which must to be unpacked into .minecraft directory (I recommend to purge these directories prior to unpacking) The main modpack assumptions are: no ore duplicates, TFC ores and items are a core of the modpack, other mods uses TFC resources extensively. additional tech. mods are fully unlocked on advance of TFC tech. chain (crucial items and blocks of post-TFC mods need end-game TFC materials) most of receipts are altered by Minetweaker scripts, NEI use is strongly recommended some vanilla items are unlocked, but need advance into TFC tech tree (for example vanilla furnace need iron) diverse mob strength and spawn conditions, valuable drops from rare strong mobs ingame manual/diary List of all mods included in modpack (underlined bold are mandatory mods involved in modpack crafting receipts, italics are client side mod): Wiki is hosted here Some images: Known issues: Important notes: Please do not hesitate to point me any bugs or problems. Modpack contain readme file with all mods author credits listed, hope that I met all license stuff correctly. Please note, since ver.0.4, modpack hosted by github. 3. Hi everyone. I've finally started a compatibility mod for Railcraft! Sources are available athttps://github.com/vidaj/TFCRailcraft Curse download page:http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/230890-tfcrailcraft/ If you want to contribute, you can either create issues for recipe changes and whatnot at github, or make comments in this thread. Currently implemented: 0.2: - TFC 0.79.25 compatible - Added wooden minecart with chest, to enable earlier and cheaper rails. Only 9 slots in the inventory. Recipe is 5 planks in a 'U' shape with a chest in the middle. Not restricted to wooden rails, but might be in the future. - Added gold ore dictionary support to wooden booster tracks. 0.1: - Coke oven craftable from fire bricks and TFC sand. Makes charcoal from logs. 1 log = 1 charcoal. I'll see if I can get railcraft to eat several items to make 2 logs = 1 charcoal, but it will need changes in Railcraft, making it a low priority at the moment. - Wooden Creosote Bucket! - Wooden ties are made from sealing lumber in barrel - All railcraft steel tools have their crafting recipes removed. - Railcraft plates are oredicted to the same as TFC plates. - Tanks are craftable from TFC iron and steel plates. How do people want to play with Railcraft within the TFC world? What should be craftable in the crafting grid and what should be made with the anvil? How should the recipes look? All input is appreciated Modpack permission: granted
  4. [Solved] Railcraft and minetweaker3

I have incorporated railcraft into my TFC world and used minetweaker to change the recipes... well, I kind of stole the script from terrafirmapunk and changed some things. Anyway, one of the problems I ran into was putting water into the steam engines. The steam engines done recognize the wooden bucket as a viable bucket I guess so you cant use those. The only thing I figured out was to add a formula that allowed me to change the TFC glass bottle into a vanilla minecraft one and do it that way. I was wondering if there is a way, using minetweaker, that you guys know, where I could trick the engines into seeing the wooden bucket as a valid water bucket.
  5. getting railcraft to work with TFC?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a "simple" way to get railcraft to work with TFC? I put 'simple' in quotes because I am not sure how simple it really is. I know there are mod packs out there that include railcraft but really I just want TFC and railcraft. How do I get them to play nice? I know its not as simple as just dropping railcraft in the mod folder since the crafting recipes wont be the same. Thanks in advance for any help here.
  6. Hi folks! My name is Nightdagger, and I have a Youtube channel where I frequently post videos from my various Minecraft LP series, most frequently technical in nature. I've done a few tutorial videos for TFC, and I did have one TFC series that I did a while back, where I played on a SMP server, but I wasn't happy with the way it turned out. So, tonight, me and a few of my friends started out a new TFC LP series, where we're going to be building together, community style. So far, nothing out of the ordinary. But there's one thing that will set this series apart from the other TFC series you may have seen in the past. We have other mods. Namely, Buildcraft and Railcraft. And we know how to use them. We're doing this community style, throttling ourselves from reaching the endgame too quickly by using a community vote type system...we won't start progressing into higher tier metals, or into Buildcraft/Railcraft stuff, until we feel as a group that our little village has established itself well enough to support that kind of industry. We're not really hamming it up RPwise though, just sharing the tasks around and building together. And yes, we are going to have to "cheat" a few things in along the way, because even with all of the vanilla recipes enabled, there are some things required for these mods that you just can't get in TFC. So, we're doing a "trading with the foreigners" system, where we sacrifice certain TFC resources in order to get vanilla resources. For example, 8 of any type of stone and 1 bar of copper can be traded for a piece of nether brick, and a full suit of wrought iron armor can be traded for a vanilla diamond (yes, you can get vanilla diamonds in TFC with vanilla conversion enabled, but it's ridiculously rare, to the point of being impractical), and other such conversions will be established for us as time goes on. So, if you want something a little bit spicier than normal TFC, come check out this series! It'll be pretty familiar for the first little bit, of course...the Industrial Revolution doesn't happen overnight, after all...but once we start dabbling in some of the other mods, I'm sure you'll find it quite a bit different from your usual TFC series.
