      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Can't connect to LAN servers

    I started playing TFC recently and i decided to try to play a LAN server with my friend. When i try to join the server it says end of stream. Any help would be much appreciated.
  2. I've always been tired of people using hamachi. That application is an unnecessary bother for anyone wishing to play minecraft with friends. I understand that people find it hard to port forward. This is why I open this thread to anyone wishing to get their ports forwarded. If you are interested PM me.     So, I tried to make a TFC hamachi server, but when I put the TFC universal in the mods folder and start the server, it crashes.   4. Strange Server Glitch

    I set up a server and it loads up and does everything fine, but when i get on, random parts of the land are replaced with random vanilla blocks in huge chunks, but not going up to the sky. ive even put in worlds from my single player but it still loads theese glitches. im using the most recent build and have forge and player api in. btw this isnt just me who gets these glitches when i go on. if anybody comes on they have these issues to.

    Hi all, I have challenge: to successfully run a TFCraft server on a humble Atom 330. What tricks or ideas could I implement to make the server run smoothly? It will only be for a couple of players and internet connection is not an issue as it will on LAN. This is the rig: CPU: Intel® Atom CPU 330 @ 1.60GHz RAM: 4Gb OS: Linux Mint 13 This is the current server configuration: - TFC B75 - Forge 6.5.0.486 - Latest Player API - No other mods are installed server side - Server command: java -Xms128M -Xmx512M -jar minecraft_server.jar - the world folder is mounted on a ramdisk with 256mb For now the world runs... let's say ok, but as soon as I explore and expand things get really laggy, it's impossible to play. Features: TFC and balkons weapons mod(balkons might be has been removed due to not having very much place in the server) TFC gold ingot commerce; still WIP but will feature OP operated gold banks that can only be accessed by ops with the highest security possible in mine craft, a Bedrock bank in a mostly hidden location that will feature muiltiple player account rooms for each player and manually operated by ops to ensure no lose of currency from the player(WARNING!: due to the nature of the server if you are a long distance from a bank and you are traveling to the bank and get robbed by another player, it is your responsibility to defend your self and your gold, but once the gold is in the bank it is completely safe) the server can only payout or store as much gold that has been found,mined and processed into ingots, to keep the value of gold stable because NO OP will use creative mode other then to access the bank(no op will make more gold from creative mode) this is to allow player who has found gold, to become wealthy and also to encourage gold mining towns and kingdoms and also teamwork, but also give solo players a chance to compete on an even scale. due to gold being an end-teir metal material, gold will keep massive value even if a player finds a super vain. (remember, WIP) please post ideas freely but please keep it friendly. No enemy mobs(Pure pvp and WIP): this is to make the exchange of gold for non obtainable items a must, this currently includes; Enchantment table(so far 100 ingots due to being a very powerful tool), TNT(3 Ingots each), string( 4 for 1 ingot), pistons(4 ingots, sticky's are 6). all items are given by op exchange(there will be plenty of these items in the bank so ops can give items without using creative mode). Also to give a more realistic feel and also better pvp capabilities. Rules(also WIP please post ideas and valid reasons for ideas); (players are logged with time stamps to see who has been on at the time and at least one op will always be on at all times and will tp to the location ASAP to deal with any problems with force) #1: Griefing is instant ban; this is considered griefing as follows; stealing ANY item from chests that don't belong to you(if you are caught you will get tp'ed to a bedrock jail for 1 hour IRL) #2 attacking a player without both sides agreeing to pvp(or war) is not allowed, #3 4 on 1 teams is allowed only if both teams have agreed to war(this means if two teams of 4 are at war then 4 on 1 is allowed to promote teamwork and bodyguards for transporting goods, because nothing is more dangerous then human enemies (except the ender dragon, hint hint ;P ) #4 raiding IS allowed but only if it is agreed upon by both sides, AND all player on the teams are on so the defending team has a chance to defend(we WILL be watching) Please pm either op for; white-listing,ip and hamachi password.     I made a server and i tried to have TFC and smart moving on it. It seems to have some sort of itemtracker thing in the cmd. it says "WARNING ForgeItemLoader the mod terrafirmacraft is attempting to overwrite existing item at 344 form <tw from Minecraft> with TFC.Food.itemterrafood." There is about 25 of these for different things if that makes any sense please help me?

  10. Survive and Thrive Original idea by Xepher101. Server IP will be given a day in advance to those playing. And its Whitelisted. The idea of the game is that two teams, consisting of a maximum of 10 players per team, head in different directions in a total of 1000 blocks each. Once there they must, Survive... and Thrive, by getting tools and a bucket for everyone on their team. One team makes Blue Steel, one team makes Red Steel. Team Trading Trading or Raiding are allowed, Raiding is limited to attacks and chest raiding, not base destruction. Single blocks are allowed to be placed on top of Bloomeries and forges, to slow enemy production if you so desire. Since the first 3 Teirs are different for Red and Blue Steels Trading one source for another is recommended, so both can prosper, or for more of one material. Griefing and or Team Betrayal Griefing your own or an enemy base is not allowed Team Betrayals are not allowed, those that are on your team are you team. You want to leave them, or take their stuff you should just leave. Teams are final no switching in game. Breaking Rules If you break any of the above mentioned rules a Ban will be freely given to those offenders, if it was for Team betrayal or Raiding, its only for that game. If your Griefing or otherwise you will be banned for this game and every game to come. Do Not Grief.     When I hop on a server, its usually deserted. Are there any Pacific region servers or are they scarcer than garnierite? Just asking. EDIT: Its nearly 8pm here, as Pacific is a large region.
  12. Saving Pre-59 Worlds

    So in IRC, someone mentioned that the new builds aren't necessarily world breaking, rather player breaking. So a fix would be to delete the player.dat file, upgrade and let the server recreate that file. These are the steps that I did on a small test server, I have not tested in length all of the new features, so if anyone else is doing this, or wants to do some experiments to try save their worlds, here is the place for the findings. I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to know they can indeed take their old worlds into the next updates. ** Do this on a back-up of your server! You don't want to lose that hard work! ** 1. Log in to your game and jot down your location. Also, throw ALL your stuff into a chest or you will lose it! When you delete the player.dat file, it will spawn you somewhere new, with nothing in your inventory. 2. Go to the server directory and delete your <player>.dat file. It is located in the world>players folder. (I actually deleted the whole folder. That way other players won't break the server too, IDK.) 2a. I deleted the configs folder as well. (Supposedly this is good practice when upgrading mod versions.) 3. Add the new TFC build to your mods folder. 4. Run the server! Log in, you'll be somewhere crazy! 5. In the server console (or if you have cheats enabled) /tp yourself back to your original location. Voila! Like I said I tested this on a very small scale. I know the new version is working at least for axe durability. I chopped down a WHOLE jungle tree and lost a sliver of its durability in build 56, then upgraded to build 64 and chopped down another and of course, broke it! Any experiments on how this has worked for other will sure be a great help!
  13. welcome to LightningCraft, my terrafirmacraft PvP anarchy server, PvP meaning you can kill other players, take their stuff, etc, without consequence, and anarchy, meaning you can make factions and do whatever you want there are some rules though to make this server fair 1. no xray mods 2. no entity radars 3. have fun! the current version of terracraft on this server is 50c, but when build 52 comes out i'll update to that. it currently uses smart moving 10.5. rei's minimap is okay. i will have this server up atleast every day, i'll usually start it on weekdays around 3:00 pm central time zone [ -6 GMT ] and ill end it around 9:30 pm or 10:00pm central time zone [ -6 GMT ]. i apologize but i have to do this currently to save internet usage but soon i'll get able to have the server up 24/7. i am an experienced op on other minecraft and tfcraft servers so i know what im doing, whenever you need help you can just ask. my internet is on 1 Gigabit speed and rarely ever shuts off, which should hopefully not be laggy like other pvp servers.   15. Server Join Error

    Server appears to be running and has returned no errors, Minecraft runs fine and returns no errors. However, when joining my own server (As a test to get it working) I'm given this error: http://i.imgur.com/ehO3I.png Version of TFC: Build 52e (Most Recent) Version of Forge: 4.1.4.282 - The most recent version, 4.1.4.298, caused Minecraft and the server to crash on boot, and the minimum version that TFC uses, 4.1.2.269, doesn't work. There's no reason the version I'm using, it's just a random one greater than the minimum that still works. No other mods are being used. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  16. Issues Installing Server

    A friend of mine introduced me to TFCraft, and we want to setup a server to play on. I've gotten mod working on my client with no issues, but I can't seem to get the server installation to work. I'm not getting any errors, simply the server still thinks it's vanilla, and our clients think they're TFC, so there is no traversing leaves, for example (the client thinks you should walk through them, and the server thinks they're 'solid'). No mods folder was generated by the server, and I've searched for a 'recent' (within the last month of so) tutorial for setting up a server and I cannot seem to find anything. Any help is greatly appreciated. EDIT: So, I'm not sure exactly what did it, but I managed to get it to work. A lot of trying to run the jar through Command Prompt, and re-downloading and re-installing the mods in different orders generating and not generating a new world in between. I think that somehow my META-INF folder became corrupt, but I'm still not sure. Thanks to those who tried to help!
  17. Server Problem

    Ok, so the problem I'm having is that I'm getting some of the mechanics of TFC on my server, but none of the terrain is TFC, just vanilla. There's no pebbles on the ground, the dirt and stone is vanilla, I can't punch wood like i'm supposed to, but I also don't get sticks from leaves and start bugging out when I try walking through them. I've gotten this result with the zipped file in the mods and core mods folders, and trying to put the files directly into the server.jar. Does anyone have a solution for this?
