      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Silver from Galena Extraction After reading a forum post from user Udarytitled 'A use for Galena', he mentions a way to extract silver from the currently unused ore Galena. As I had never developed a mod before and I love playing TFC, I thought it a good idea to try a create a mod outlining the process Udary mentioned. After a little research on the subject I have created a mod that allows the user to extract Silver from Galena. The process is expensive in terms of the amount of silver returned from the Galena ore, but I did not want this extraction process to become the main source of silver. It was designed as a stop gap until a more viable source of Silver was found. Some ores are not used until later stages of TFC and I will be the first to admit that after investing a lot of time in a world, only to find some ores impossible to find can be frustrating. Nickel from Limonite Extraction In my current world I was unable to find two ores, Silver andGarnierite. I had already solved the problem of Silver, so now I needed a way to get Nickel. After a little research, I found that Nickel is present in Limonite. So working on a similar method as the Galena Extraction, I created a Nickel from Limonite extraction process. Again this process is expensive in terms of the amount of nickel returned from the Limonite ore. This was not designed to replace the main ore mining, but provide a way to get small amounts of nickel to move forward. Tucker Bag A new item called Tucker Bag that allows players to capture and release animals from one location to another. Evaporator Pan A new device that allows players to extract items from fluids via evaporation. Full Feature List 1. Silver extraction from Galena ore. 2. Nickel extraction from Limonite ore. 3. Transporting animals with Tucker Bags. 4. Extracting items from fluids via Evaporation. 5. Drying mat to dry fruit. 6.Alloy Calculator toallows players to check alloy combinations. 7. Additional Recipes * convert 1 x lumber to 8 x sticks. * ore breakup recipes using a hammer. 1 x 35 unit ore = 1 x 25 unit ore and 1 x 10 unit ore. 1 x 25 unit ore = 1 x 15 unit ore and 1 x 10 unit ore. b. Additional Items * Added bucket support for most of the TFC fluids.   2. Can't feed animals

    I just usually play in Minecraft using mod TerraFirmaCraft, and now I have the sheeps! But when I try to feed them, the message " this animal won't let you do that" always displays! I play in a singleplayer mode. I'd researched all this forum but can't find similar problem or I was finding it badly but please Help! The TerraFirmaCraft version: 0.79.922!
  3. Just a few suggestions that i feel would work well inTFC2 1. GOATS! goatsare small and cute mammals that produce large amounts of milk, much like cows, but have a more aggressive nature to taming and who's milk and cheese tastes sharper. they drop bones, small-medium hide, and goat meat when killed and can be found in warmer drier climates with many hills and spars grass. They could be a valuable commodity in trading between players and such, if trading is implemented. 2. Canning and Jarring: A homesteaders best defense against Rot a. Items needed for this include: - Glass jar and Jar lids: The jar is crafted much like the bucket, but with glass. The lids are crafted with an iron or steel ingot on an anvil, x2lids for each ingot. They hold 3000ml and 60oz - Large pot: Crafted with 2 copper/iron Double sheets on an anvil. It can be placed on the charcoal pit(?) like the grill and be used to boil/cook fruits into Mash. - Various fruit juices: - Wild Crab Apples: while regular apples do produce pectin, Crab apples can produce double even when ripe. When cooked they produce Pectin and Crab Apple Mash. - PECTIN: Important when preserving fruit! Fruits can be preserved whole for a Preserve, mashed for a jam, and juiced for a jelly! - Tin cans: one use versions of jars. Meant more for those with access to a lot of tin and no real use for it. Crafted with one tin ingot on the anvil. -Pantry/Storage shelf: A way to store your stuffed jars and cans as they preserve! Pantries are the size of a double chest but don't display the jars and cans, while the storage shelf is the size of a single shelf and shows the jars (if possible). It must be hung on a wall. Suggestions on how to refine this is appreciated! I'm not the most informative writer. ;w;

  5. Hello everyone. I've been enjoying this mod a lot lately and I came across what I think isa pretty awesome seed and its done me justice so far with starting out! (I'm no expert on TFC but this has been a great seed to me so far) SEED:4833932150374418897 SMALL DISCLAIMER- I am using the [TFC 0.79.29.922] TerrafirmaPack which can be found here: I only make note of this because the modpack includes flowing streams which there are a lot of around the spawn area in this seed so without using the "Streams by delvr" mod your terrain may be slightly different!!!
  6. Squirrel *FINAL*

    I have gotten started on squirrel model and texture, and could use some feedback, particularly on the tail. I have it vary in width to try and make it look fluffy, and to avoid the all-corrupting Z-fighting. I could make it the same thickness all the way through, and edit the texture such that the Z-fighting is nonexistent, but if I want the tail to be able to bend both ways, that would look weird and flat. Unless you are one of the people who actually reads the text before looking at the images, you will have noticed that I included two poses, one running and one sitting. Depending on what Bioxx wants to do in terms of animation, it could switch between the models, or just use the running one. The sitting animation is about as simple as I could make it; you only have to rotate the haunch box -60°, and adjust the head and back leg boxes appropriately. Anyway, feedback will be appreciated. Once we get a good model sorted out, I will make a grey variant as well. Also, this would probably have to be scaled down a little bit, particularly for the red squirrel.   7. Display animal traits

    Every so often I'm far from home, go "I need food", then slaughter an animal. Sometimes "far from home" is "half a day." Sometimes the animal drops 36 pounds of pork despite being only slightly larger than the sow sitting next to it. I'd like to avoid this, for obvious reasons. Showing animal size, traits etc when sneaking-next to their Familiarity indicator-would be a good way of going about this. It could be tied into the Butchery skill, displaying "Size: Small/Smaller/Medium/Larger/Large", "Weight: Light/Average/Heavy", etc.

    Have you read, understood, and followed all of the rules listed in large text at the top of the suggestions forum?(Yes/No): yes Answering "no" to the above question will result in your post being deleted. So reading a lot of suggestions and such I think I found a great idea for an additional animal for the game. Mammoths. As horses spawn closer to the equator and we are sorta in the right era for them Mammoths would be large northern mounts. Significantly slower than horses and much larger they would be cool to have in the very northern regions. They should have tonnes more health than horses and could carry stuff (kinda like having many tfc1 back slots) making them perfect for adventuring large treeless lands. I think they should be 3-4 blocks tall and eat fruit rather than grain and should spawn in packs of 8 or more. They could also carry 2 people (like 1.9 vanilla boats). you could also make them an alternate method of getting wool please discuss this idea

I'm not sure if I have the worst of luck at TFC, or if my animals truly hate me, but no heart indicator has gone above the "white line indicator" (about 25-30% familiarization). The following animals have been feed, riden, and pet two times a day and have not changed the slightest. I just wanted to know if this is happening to anyone else or if I am doing something wrong. When i kill an animal i only get a small piece whit less than 20 ounces, is that a feature now? when i played in the last patch, the animals that i killed (pig and horse) used to drop like 8 pieces of meat whit 160 ounces each. If it isnt a feature, here`s the bug report.   11. [Solved] Taming Bears in 79.10+

    Hello TerraFirmaCrafters! I've been trying to tame a recently caught bear in my TFC world. I've been feeding it fish daily to try and tame it. I've been through about 4 ceramic vessels worth of fish trying to tame it, yet the familiarity heart isn't changing at all. Are bears untamable? Thanks! ~iPotato
  12. Yet more problems with animals

    I know this subject has been talked about before but I seem to have another problem now. Ive gotten my sheep up to shearing level but Im now not able to feed them anymore, including for breeding. this has only happened with animals which I am trying to tame. Wild animals will I'll answer the obvious questions now. yes, I am shift right clicking and its been a few days since I last tryed to feed them. Currently my only though is that the animals are fully tamed and will take no more grain. Although if that is true why can I not breed them? Your assistance is welcome.

    i was wonder how it was possible to tame a horse in TFC. Right clicking with an open hand just shows the sex and they do not seem to accept any foods or a saddle.
  14. Friendly Mobs Are Gone!

    Hello all! I have a SMP server. So I updated TFC to build 76. But I wanted to keep the map. But it is kind of getting troublesome. There are a lot of item ID issues. Like, all of our TFC planks were turned into handmills and plans are now sprindles. Metal nuggets were converted into lava filled blue steel buckets and such... Well, that's not much of a big deal, to be honest. But the real problem is, all the animals(friendly mobs) are gone. Not sure what's happening, but those entities instantly get ignored by the server.     Having issues finding any information on it. I'm aware the butchery system is on its way and that animals are being improved, but as of right now, how does animal breeding work?
