      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Sound not working.

Hi, when I start Minecraft with this mod, the sound and music are all the way turned off. However, when I try to change it and turn it on, Minecraft crashes. Any way I could get some help?

Where did you install the TFC resources folder? It contains the files for dirt/cobble falling and anvil sounds.

First suggestion would be to try a new clean install and see if the problem still persists.

That should be right.

I agree with waht Salvatos said, reinstall on a fresh minecraft.jar

I have already tried that three or four times and have not gotten it to work. Is it possible someone could upload their jar?

So, continuing on then:

I take it you don't have this issue with vanilla Minecraft (or sound issues with any other games)?

Just for kicks and giggles, could you list the exact and precise instructions onto how you installed TFC?

Update the driver for your sound card (?? - though if you do that, might as well let us know what it is).

If sound is your only issue...

Go to your install folder for minecraft, open up the options.txt file, and change the top two lines to:

music:1.0

sound:1.0

I believe they are a fraction of 1, i.e. 1.0 is 100% and .5 is 50%. Don't know if that'll fix your problem though. Deleting the options.txt if it doesn't is your best next step.
