      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Good way to get stone bricks/blocks?

8 posts in this topic

The title says it all, how do you guys go about collecting actual bricks as opposed to rocks?

To make the bricks, you place a rock in your crafting grid with the chisel. If it hasn't changed, to make the smooth blocks, you right click on raw stone before mining it out.

So, there is not a good way, there is a way, that's all :

If you meant raw stone blocks, I would normally do it while digging down, in a 3x3 stairwell and leaving the middle block.

or when I'm just collecting raw stone a simple, rather efficient way (without digging up too much) would just be to take out the bottom and top of a 3x3 area and then break apart the shelf in order to harvest the raw stone. (I've also started using smart move, which greatly assists in this method, but by no means is it rendered useless without it.)

Your pictures don't work... do you need help with that?

Hmm... you still can't see them? (I was just in and out in editing the post there)

Normally use Imgur, but it's been having issues completing the upload today.

Had to use http://postimage.org/, but that was the same host that I used to upload the pics from the forge pictures earlier today: http://terrafirmacra...orge-wont-work/

I use imageshack. I hate it but I found a way to use it that isn't annoying. All of the media hosting, or whatever they are, sites suck.
