      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

alternative install ?

Hi guys,

I have minecraft and technic SSP installed in their own .folder within %appdata% and since I use the vanilla craft for SMP I would rather not write this over that. Do you guys use any other launcher or manager for these jar files, magiclauncher? or something like what tekkit uses? Thought of writing your own?

I've been using MultiMC and its been great. It lets you create different instances of Minecraft and is very easy to Installing/Updating mods with

MultiMC is my choice. I can switch between playing vanilla minecraft, TFC and thaumcraft very easily.

I agree to. I too used mutliMC . I have all my instances, ready to go. And also my minecraft from 1.0 to 1.31. Also copy differnt version of TFcraft,

Edit oops ... another quickie .. With 1.3.2 out now - am I 'officially' goosed to install this? It appears technic etc downgrades the app but I won't 'legally' be able to get a copy of the 1.2.5 jar?

Actually we have discovered a place where you can get it from Mojang.

http://assets.minecraft.net/ has quite a few of their recent downloads (from their snapshots and such, and going back to 1.8 I think), but they do have a link to 1.2.5. You can either add it's name to the end of the web address or http://assets.minecr...5/minecraft.jar

search for mcnostalgia, i believe you even legally downgrade as far as infdev and indev, although i haven't tried to be positive lately.

as far as updating with multimc, it seems like multimc is smart enough to instance the correct version as well as the mods install, found this out when i updated my main minecraft.jar for 1.3.1 and tried running my TFcraft instance to find it actually still worked with no downgrading needed.
